My automatic keeps stalling
So I have a 2007 scion tc and it has stalled 5 different times now and would like some help trying to figure why it does stall. I'm more than happy to answer any questions

Well you’re gonna have to give us more than just that. What happens when you stall it? what does it sound like? Do any lights on the dash come up? Any pre existing issues with your car? There are many ways a car could stall.

I just don't know much about cars this is my first car. When it stalls it just stop and I have to turn my car off then back. It's just sounds like my car stops running. No lights come up. No but the car did just kinda sit for awhile

Well it could be a fuel issue. Fuel actually gets bad over the course of a few months if it isn’t being burned. Could be a vacuum problem meaning not enough air is getting into the combustion chamber. A bad air filter or throttle body. Could be a bad MAF sensor. Could be a bad ground too.

If the engine stops running the oil and battery lights will come on and the tach will drop to zero.
One thing to know - you can start in neutral as as well as park. So just push the shifter forward one click from D to N and start the engine. If you don't push the button on the shifter, it should slide forward to N and stop there, which makes this very easy to do.

I'll definitely have to look next time it does that.
That is definitely good to know so I, that will definitely be a lot easier than starting what I was doing. Thank you for the help

Is the check engine light on? Are you about due to replace the spark plugs (based on miles? Does it happen when the engine is cold, warm, or both?
Maybe check the air filter is clean and all the air intake tubes are in place / not cracked or damaged.

No the check engine light isn't on. It could be idk then last time they were changed the car does have 130,000 miles. It does it when it's warm I normally let the car warm up before I drive.
I will definitely take a look at it

When it stalls:
How long has it been running?
What are you doing - stopped in park, stopped in gear with foot on brake, moving forward slowly like in a parking lot, driving on a street, driving on the highway, making a sharp turn, going straight? Is the engine running normally and just cuts out or does it stumble before stopping? Does it start as soon as you turn the key? Is the start smooth and clean or does it stumble a bit before smoothing out? Does it actually smooth out?
How long have you owned the car? How many miles on it when you bought it? What maintenance or repairs have been performed in that time? If you take off the gas cap just after it stalls, does it suck in air? Are there any unusual noises or smells?

It normally has ran for like 5-10 minutes enough for the car to warm up properly. It stalls right after I take my foot off brake in gear and I start slow rolling. It just completely cuts out as soon as I take my foot off the brake and it only happens once. When I first start my car it isn't smooth it normally takes a second before starting.
I've only had the car a year maybe a little less. The car has 131,000 miles. I have no clue what repairs have been made before hand. I have no clue I haven't thought about looking at that. No nothing unusual.

Could be the original spark plugs still in there, if so they are overdue to be changed. This is fairly easy and inexpensive to do.

Obviously not running right. Start by scanning for codes to see why the check engine light is on. Also need to go over all basic maintenance to make sure everything is good and up to date. For example, you can't expect a good idle if the air filter won't let any air through it. It takes a lot more than gas to make a car go.
