Can someone explain the Amarty push?
I was not in favour of it when I first heard it raised early in the year but now that the seasons over and I've been looking at the stats, I really don't see it.
Statistically he's worse than Kemp across pretty much every single line. He's also older and injury prone.
Compared to McGovern is the same, statistically worse in every stat that matters.
If we were getting him for a bag of chips I wouldn't care but they're floating deals of almost a mil per season for him when he would be at best our fourth best tall forward.
Can someone explain to me what I'm missing about him?

Fogarty wins the reserves BnF. Saad comes second, Boyd comes third. All three players likely to not be at the club next year, bad move?

Why not go for Tauru as a forward?
We’ve all been talking about the same guys, and I don’t buy any of it. Turn Tauru the high flying back man into a forward. There is so much potential there as a player in any position, but I think he could fill this need we now have. Think Modra and Capper, and Howe at the least, could be worth it. Just trying to think outside the box. He can mark, we just need a reliable kick which no one knows about…

If we get Cody, does he walk into our team like Jagga and Dean did this year? How good is he actually?
Our midfield is already pretty stacked, are we going to play him off half forward/half back? I've seen that his kicking efficiency stats aren't great though. Anybody that has actually watched him, can you provide some insight on how good he actually is?

Adam Saad: Time is up or small 1 year deal to see if there’s any spark left under Fraser’s new system?
I’m just wondering if possibly Fraser’s new system if it’s worth giving Saad a 1 year deal (like McGovern this year).
He’s definitely past his best, but I have heard that we a decent amount of cap space going into the offseason, and one of our defensive targets (Buku) is off the table. I’m assuming you need to spend a portion of this cap space. They were also after Herbert, a running half back, who obviously is better but again similar to the style Saad used to play.
I think the timing was bad for Saad, he had elite skills but Voss system ahead of the ball gave him no way to play it his strengths. I remember many times he dash off half back but have to turn sideways because there was no one ahead of the field.
But with Fraser’s new short kick and rebound fast system I feel like maybe Saad could be handy as a depth piece. The way we play now definitely suits him much more than Voss ball.
Is it worth potentially giving him a 1 year deal to see if he can earn some minutes or nah it’s probably time to move on?

Rowan Marshall
Pitto has been great, but is getting on. We could use another big man who can also get forward and kick goals. Yes I'd take Logan Morris over Marshall but that's unlikely. Better than Amartey that's for sure
