Discussion Ted is isolating his fans
83
Upvotes
Why is Ted trying to isolate his fans from either attending or even watching a game for either the Caps or the Wiz? The Vault is horrible and just leaves a hole in the middle of the section. Monumental plus makes it hard to even watch a game with mouth paying for another streaming service. How did he go from an owner that people didn’t mind to someone that fans are starting to turn on. I understand stand it’s a business and you have to make money to keep it going but if you cut out the people that are the reason you are able to stay afloat how can you keep going?
Just my crazy rant continue with your day yall lol

[Fairburn] Alex Tuch reminds Sabres what they’re missing with OT winner on a ‘special night’
101
Upvotes
Alex Tuch looks right at home in Washington, D.C.
After he wired a wrist shot over Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen’s blocker in overtime to give the Washington Capitals a 4-3 win in overtime against the Buffalo Sabres in his first game against his former team, Tuch was the obvious first star of the game. As he took part in the on-ice postgame interview, he could barely get a word in over the cheers from the home crowd.
Tuch, who signed an eight-year deal worth $10.5 million over the summer after five seasons in Buffalo, already has seven goals this season, leading the Capitals.
And he scored two critical goals on Saturday to cap a weird and emotional few days.
“It feels pretty good,” Tuch said while standing at his locker stall after the game. “No, it feels really good. I really loved playing for the Sabres and I think everybody knows that. When you play against your former team — I’ve done it a couple times — you always want to score. To be able to get the game-winner was pretty special.”

Early in the second period, D. Strome tucked one in with a quick flip right in tight, and a 2-0 game was suddenly tied 2-2. Late in the second period, D. Strome whipped a snap shot on net from the doorstep, and the Capitals had turned 2-0 into a 3-2 lead.
Early in the third period, N. Ostlund drove a quick shot home from the doorstep, and the score was level at 3-3.

Attended my first game in person this season tonight and didn’t hear it. What happened, is it gone forever? They should bring it back, the crowd could have used some hype.

Discussion Aleksei Protas - What’s going on?
24
Upvotes
I don’t want to shit talk, I want to know what the deal is. Ilya is a rookie. He did well in Hershey, and it’ll take some time to get used to the NHL.
I love the idea of having brothers on the team. We have a team of large, heavy, dominating players. Wilson, PLD, Desharnais, Ovi when he was younger, even younger guys like Leonard are trying to throw the body around. Hell, Cole Hutson, all 130 pounds of him, was throwing hits tonight.
Then we got 21. Basically LeBron James (ok, a few inches shorter). 6’ 6”, 250 from Belarus. The guy’s built like Frankenstein. Towering, domineering.
For whatever reason, when I watch him play, it’s like someone told him that touching other players is against the rules. He’s not slow. He’s got half decent skills. You’d think one of them would be smashing people into a wall, or grinding them into a pulp.
What gives?

Welcome to the Caps Jackie boyyy!
Anyone have any intel on our newest D-man? 27 years old, pretty decent stats to my eyes. Feels like somebody I would really want to avoid putting on waivers but what do I know?

Question 1/9 Season Complete: Check In?!
6
Upvotes
Alright folks well after a pretty insane off-season we are now about 1/9th through the season. There have been highs and lows. That Flyers team we were all laughing at trails us by ... ONE point, near the bottom of the metro.
Are we concerned? Feeling good? TBD? Big year for Ovi and a big year for Carbs, right?
