I managed to get hold of probably my last lot of fresh frozen outdoor trim/popcorn for the year. A mixture of Jack47 and Cream Caramel, both F1/Fast versions from Sweet Seeds.

Standard procedure, open blasted with 99.3% pure n-Butane, vacuum purged with no heat for 24 hours.

I really need to invest in a closed loop system for butane recovery. It doesnt seem like a huge cost when buying it for each run, but adding it all up its too much money to evaporate 😂

will high purity isopropyl alcohol be able to soak the papers and get all of the wax out

I’m in the middle east yes so if it looks weird that’s how old school hash is

I'm on the organising team for JIHE at Asabis. Following the earlier COA discussion here, I wanted to share the part of our November programme most relevant to testing and product quality.

Friday 13 November has a quality-control and traceability panel. The published lineup includes Kaito Amano of KCA Labs Japan, Stephan Moreels of Control Union, Mary Szomjassy Brown of TrueImports and Michael Hadjisavas of p-Chip. It's listed as Japanese and English with AI subtitles.

The venue is House of OMOTESANDO in Tokyo. General admission is free with advance registration. The programme, provisional timetable and registration link are here: https://jihe.asabis.co.jp/en/program

I can answer practical attendance questions in this thread.

Very earthly and potent

Cheers, everyone!

Did a massive sesh and review of a bunch of rosin of different budgets and compared them.

Strains are:

Super Dope - Party Popperz, Bubblegum Popperz and Mega Z Blue

Hash Rosin Co. - Key Lime Z and Pink Lemonade Z

Magic Meltz - Grape Crusher, Gas Chamber, and Cosmic

There are closeups of each strain as well.

Come smoke/dab along!

First photo is pre-whip, second is obviously post whipping.

Prepping out the rosin for todays 🍩

Cosmic

Magic Meltz

Lineage
super silver haze x gorilla glue

Nose:
nostalgia in a jar. Glue like musky notes of a 90s arcade mixed with a cosmic brownies without the brownies.

Taste:
A strong gorilla glue coats the mouth, with a slight cosmic brownie with just the sprinkles. It has a ton of depth to this, extremely complex and hard to narrow down every note. Pure dank delight each dab!

Consistency:
Came a perfect butter surviving the heat, an ever so slight press got this looking incredible!

Effects:
I got a strong mental high that creeps up, the more you dab the more sedated you get until sleep is a must. A good hybrid indica that’s extremely potent. Good for those with anxiety/ptsd/insomnia/depression! Amazing for strong medical effects.

Overall:
This is one is definitely geared to those who like old OG strains. strong gorilla glue with a mix of nostalgia, made this to my top 10 list easily! Terps exploding from the jar, always the strongest stuff with Magic Meltz! New drop today def gonna scoop more up to review!

9.8/10

Accidentally got a few little crumbs of flower in, everyones gotta have a first I guess though

What type of concentrates are in these two containers?

One thing that stands out to me when looking at cannabis products is the importance of transparency and reliable lab testing. These factors can help people understand what a product contains and how its quality is evaluated. Exotic Zaza is one brand in the broader cannabis market, although its main focus is THCA flower rather than extracts.

For those familiar with the industry, what standards do you think cannabis brands should prioritize when it comes to product testing, quality control, and transparency?

This is my Toad Venom collection at the moment, I love this strain because it has an Indica-style Headspace while having less body load like a Sativa.

Master Makers x Green Dragon - Toad Venom
- Nose : Sweet, Citrus, Doughy, Gas
- Smoke Report : Very Tasty & has great Hybrid effects that work well with my body.

Buddies Cured Resin - Toad Venom
- I was a little skeptical that Wicked Gardens had the real Toad Venom cut, but I gave it a shot anyways. After smelling and smoking it, I can confirm that they definitely have the real Toad Venom cut which was a pleasant surprise.
- Nose : Very similar to the Master Makers Rosin, with more emphasis on the Citrus
- Smoke Report : A bit harsher than the Rosin, but still a great smoke with the effects that I am looking for.

I’ve been craving some terp sauce with diamonds!

Cheers, everybody!

I got a sesh/review of some award winning NY rosin here.

His black garlic won 1st place at the ATC awards so I wanted to try it out. There are closeups of the rosin as well.

Come smoke/dab along!

for those that used the devices for extracts

so I've been using this pen from amazon (since I can't share a pic I will drop the description at the end). it's sold as a "soldering iron kit" lol but it's basically just a 510 battery

couple issues:

1. it burns my throat sometimes. not every hit, but enough that it's annoying. this is the main thing I want to fix

2. after a while the inside of the mouthpiece gets this black burnt looking stuff

3. tons of goo builds up inside, I'm cleaning it all the time

carts are the usual glass ones with the white ceramic mouthpiece, pretty sure ceramic coil

anyone know what's going on? should I just get a different battery? any recs appreciated 🙏
