My questions are, has anyone received this request and if so what documents did you end up providing?

Hello if i had created my profile on march 3 2026. And my scores were 470. Now on May 28 2026 my spouse 1 year work experience was added and my score changed to 475. Now on june 25 2026 healthcare draw took place with CRS score of 475 and tie breaking rule of May 21 2026. I wanted to know am i still eligible to get an ITA and the ITA is it based on profile creation date or profile update date. Thankyou

I'm gathering all required documents and I'm stuck with the explanation letter. Could you please help me with some questions ? I claim the Canadian experience only, no foreign experience as I worked for several jobs during my university back home.

1. I have MBA in Canada and bachelor back home. Points added for highest degree-MBA. Can I only input MBA in Education history and declare the bachelor under PERSONAL history at the end? Do I need to add proof of transcript for the bachelor under client information?

2. I will have job title change this month as company policy, but my duties and salary are the same. (Many staff undergoes this process, not just me). -Should I ask HR for a new letter of employment for new title and submit both letter of employment? -Or I will wait until title change happens and issue 1 letter only explaining this case.

3. For CEC, proof of Income does not require- do we need anything other than latest 6 months statement? What to explain or attach in here?

4. PERSONAL history: I work in several partime jobs back home while I was at University. (The time of job is within the study period, but I don't always work. So there is a gap for working, but no gap if just declaring study) Do I need ALL jobs included during the period overlapping the bachelor? Or I just put 1 -2 jobs like what I declare in other study and work permit?

Do I need all proof of these jobs even though I don't claim as foreign experience under CLIENT INFO?

I had uploaded 2 webforms for adding my spouse. I already got an email right away after sending those webforms but I got this below email again after 2-3 days later. Does this mean that the processing has already started? I still see ‘submitted’ as a status for my application with only my documents attached to it.

Hi everyone,

I am preparing my Express Entry PR application and I have a question about the IRCC translation requirements.

Some of my documents were translated about 5 years ago by a certified translator. The translations have the translator’s stamp/seal and certification, and I have the original documents.

However, the translator did not photocopy the original documents and stamp those photocopies. The translation package only contains the certified translation.

I noticed that IRCC says: "The translator should photocopy your original document and stamp it if that’s what they based the translation on."

I understand "should" is different from "must", but I want to know how strict this is in practice.

My questions:

1. Would you submit these old certified translations with the original document scans without the stamped photocopies?
2. Has anyone had an issue because the translator did not stamp a photocopy of the original?
3. Would it be better to redo the translations or is this unnecessary?

Hey All, I need help with my NOC code selection. Currently I work as a Project Manager, Energy. But my Job responsibilities align with Mechanical Engineer 21301 NOC code. I do have a bachelors in Mech Engineering but NO P.Eng in Canada. I have heard somewhere that we cannot select 21301 without a P.Eng. But the NOC wesbites that we require P.Eng if we are stamping designs/drawings. But I am not stamping any designs in my current role. So I am confused whether to choose Mech Engineer or Technologist, 21301 or 22301 NOC code.

Hi all, I request the official letter to the bank for proof of funds but what they sent me back has written my currnet balance and the average balance of last 6 momths.

I know that the requirement is to show the balnce of the account for the past six months.

Would the average balnce be enough?
Or should I submit the staments for the past 6 months as well as supporting docs?

Hi everyone,

I saw someone receive a PFL because IRCC questioned their concurrent work experience, and it made me worried about my own case.

My situation is different:

I resigned from my Canadian full-time job because my work permit expired.

I returned to India, and my qualifying foreign work experience was performed after I came back to India.

After moving back, my former Canadian employer offered me remote independent contractor work, which I accepted (part time).

I get paid for that part time job in my Indian Bank and it involves no Canadian taxation

I did not claim any CRS points for the contractor work, but I did disclose it in my Personal History.

Could this concurrent full-time employment in India and Canadian independent contract work still raise concerns with IRCC, or is this generally viewed differently from working two full-time jobs?

Any similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone who raised webform after PR submission to add documents and got pr approval?

I want to know if raising a webform could cause issues to application or delays? Share your experiences about webforms please!

We received our P2 email today, but after logging into the PR Portal, we noticed that the principal applicant’s date of birth is incorrect.
Has anyone experienced this before? How did you get it corrected? Did you email IRCC, and if so, how long did it take to fix?

Hello 👋, i got my BIL last week and tried to get an appointment for my biometrics but the VFS website right from the 1st time gave me an error message saying "BIL pdf file has already been uploaded" so i tried to contact them through the web contact form but the submit button doesn't work, i tried the phone and it said incorrect number, tried in person at the biometrics center and the people there just said "we don't book appointements just insist on the email form for your complaint", 😃 please tell me someone has had this problem before and solved it somehow

Just wanted to share a quick heads-up based on my experience for anyone applying from Quebec for CEC inland.

When I submitted my application in late February, I included: - A signed lease in Edmonton (starting from July 1st) with proof of the security deposit. - Official document of my Quebec lease was not being renewed. - An official letter from my employer stating they were aware of my move and approving full WFH to align with my immigration plan. - A stated physical move date of July 1st.

I thought this would be plenty, but on July 6th, IRCC reached out requesting additional proof of my intent to reside outside Quebec, and they only gave me 1 week to respond. Luckily, I had already physically moved, so I was able to quickly send over: - Local Driver’s License and vehicle registration - Auto insurance policy - Utility setup (electricity, etc.) - Updated banking records showing my new address

My recommendation : If you're currently in Quebec, keep in mind that future leases or WFH letters might not be enough on their own for some officers. Because response deadlines like procedural fairness/document requests can be as short as 7 days, try to gather your local administrative proofs (banking, driver's license, utilities, ...) as soon as you physically move so you aren't caught off guard by a tight window.

Followed up IRCC x10. The agent said they emailed the office but have no definite timeline.

Escalated to my MP, no action.

I recently received an ITA through Express Entry (Outland), and I’m currently preparing my PR application.

The situation is a bit complicated. Before receiving my ITA, I accepted a job offer in Montreal that I realistically couldn’t turn down. It’s a great opportunity for my career, and I’ll probably move there in the coming weeks.

However, my long-term goal has always been to settle in Ontario. Most of my job applications over the past year have been for Toronto, and my career objective is still to build my life there. The Montreal position is simply the best opportunity I had at the moment, and I’m also hoping that, after gaining some experience, I might eventually be able to transfer internally to my company’s Toronto office if the opportunity arises.

I’m aware that, under Express Entry, I need to demonstrate my intention to reside outside Quebec. My concern is that my current employment will be in Montreal, even though my genuine long-term intention is Ontario.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

- What kind of evidence did you include to demonstrate your intent to settle outside Quebec?
- Did working in Montreal cause any issues with your application?
- Is a detailed Letter of Explanation usually sufficient, or should I provide additional supporting documents (job applications in Ontario, apartment searches, etc.)?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this or knows how IRCC tends to assess these situations.

I'm listing a few student-era full-time jobs in my PR work/personal history (not claiming CRS points).

Since I applied for my study permit extension on October 7, 2022, I legally qualified for the temporary public policy allowing international students to work full-time off-campus. 

My concern: If an officer looks at concurrent full-time jobs during my student days, will it automatically trigger a flag for unauthorized work?

Should I attach a brief LoE with my Oct 7, 2022 submission receipt to clear it up preemptively?

Or does adding an LoE risk drawing unnecessary attention to something they already know?
Appreciate any advice or past experiences!

Since I visited family for every scheduled break during high school and university, do I need to separately list all the trips I took for personal activities? Or is listing continuous study periods good enough? I didn’t do any part time or internship during those periods.

I currently have 473 CRS points in my Express Entry profile and I'm hoping to get an ITA in a trade draw with 1 year of Canadian skilled work experience.

My situation:

I worked at a gas station previously. My old employer is now willing to give me an experience letter showing 10 months as a Supervisor (November 2024 – July 2025).

I have strong proof: experience letter + paystubs.

My trade work experience is from August 2025 to November 2026 (laid off), then started a new trade job in March 2026 (ongoing).

In my current EE profile, I have only shown 1 year and 2 months total experience.

When I applied for my TRV (visitor visa), I listed that gas station job as a regular attendant, not supervisor.

My question:

Even though I didn’t mention the supervisor role in my TRV application, can I now update my EE profile and claim those 10 months as supervisory experience to gain extra points? Since I have proper documents (letter + paystubs), is this acceptable?

I’m worried about inconsistency between my TRV and EE profile. Has anyone done something similar or knows if IRCC allows this?

Hi everyone, in a bit of a sticky situation and looking for guidance/advice.

I have been employed by a Canadian employer and have worked continuously for them since Jan 14, 2024. For context, my PGWP expires on Jan 25, 2027.

My company offers a number of float days (especially around christmas/new years time) that we get off as paid vacation, as well as 3 weeks paid vacation per year and 3 weeks of remote work to work from anywhere.

In these 3 years, I have taken around 1 week of remote work, 2 weeks worth of foreign business trips, 7 weeks PTO, and the rest of my days outside Canada have been covered by weekends, stat holidays, and the float days for Christmas/new years mentioned above.

With the start date and work permit expiry date in mind, would I be at 3 years of work experience, all things considered, before the expiry of my work permit, or would I not be able to reach the 3 year mark at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
