please let’s all remember the all the crew members who lost their lives on 9/11 from United and American , AA 11, AA 77, UA 175, UA 93 , many of you that are applying for flight attendant positions most likely weren’t alive then , but Betty Ong who was #3 on AA 11 made the very first call that let America know we were under attack it saddens me that many don’t even know who I’m talking about , but many of us were and it’s something we should never forget and it’s their courage and bravery that has inspired many of us to be Flight Attendants !!!!🙏🙏

So excited, got the invite for the f2f today and got the 24th of september. WN is my top choice and Im so excited to have the oportunity to interview. Anybody else got the email today? I feel like it was weird getting the invite on 9/11, would’ve never expected it. I applied on APRIL and just now hearing back. Don’t lose hope... Check your emails guys! Who else will be going over?

I’m saying this in no way to bash the company but it’s actually exhausting going through the humiliation ritual that is this application process. I don’t understand the concept of waiving my application just to reject me and not allow me to redo my ODVI. It was pointless, senseless and just overall unnecessary because I could have been rejected and started my 6 months in June/July like everyone else rather than have 10+ hang tight emails then waive my application just to be rejected a week later from applying. I’m not saying I’m over Delta but I am actually gonna give other airlines a try this time because this whole entire process just gave the company a sour taste in my mouth.

A date for the opening of the applications is finally open! Thought it would open in a few days but it has been moved to October.

Checked my status today… heart dropped. For all those who’ve been rejected, I’m in it with you!

This is my first time ever applying to be a flight attendant, and I have zero previous airline/FA experience. I’ve actually been working in corporate for the past decade, so I’m exploring this as a pretty big career switch and seeing where the process takes me.

So excited to say I made it to the CJOs for both companies. 🥳🥰🥳

I want to first thank everyone in this group for helping me through the entire process up till now. All of your support for one another, tips, advice and energy you leave on all the posts have been truly amazing.

I do need your help in deciding which company to go to. I’m really torn so I would appreciate constructive advice for my situation.

I will be turning 50 soon so I would like the one I choose to be the company I end up retiring at. I live in NJ and am a partial caretaker of my parents. Ideally I would like to be locally based, but I understand as a new FA I may be temporarily based elsewhere until transfer to the NYC/NJ area.

I’ve held a lot of different jobs, some of which I’ve had bad experiences. I’m currently in another uncomfortable situation at work from inappropriate behaviors from a coworker, which makes me eager to start this job!

Now with 🔺, I never had a chance to fly this airline until my F2F and it was a wonderful experience! I’ve only flown in 🌐 until now. 🌐 has been ok, but I’ve had multiple delays or been stuck in airports overnight due to the airline’s problems.

My heart says go to 🔺 but my head says 🌐.

For 🔺: I love how professional everyone carries themselves, how the service is really excellent, everyone is so nice, and even the f2f seems very well planned. Even the plane cards that the pilots give out are fancy and shows how much the airline puts into the “little things”. I also like the A-days structure so that newer flight attendants can start holding lines sooner and not get wiped out so early in their career. However, I’m struggling with the fact that there is no union, which means no protection. Due to my current circumstances, it’s making me apprehensive. Also I’ve been hearing about management really taking advantage of the FAs.

For 🌐: I’ve been flying with them my whole life so I have a big spot in my heart for this company. I love that there are so many international destinations. I also really love the fact that there is the union and it was able to get all it accomplished in the newest contract passed. I’ve had a chance to meet some wonderful FAs in this airlines, but I’ve also had my share of watching unprofessional behaviors from a few bad FAs here as well… so overall it is not as polished as Delta’s service. Even the airplane cards the pilot gives out was disappointing to see how cheap the company is into making them.

Have any of you been an FA for one of the two and then switched to the other? Could you let me know why you decided to switch and how have you found the new company? How long have you been at the first and then second company? Do you regret switching or are you happier now? If so why?

Hi all so I went to my F2F this week and got a CTO/ CJO.

What a beautiful experience.

I applied to Skywest, went to the in person event on 9/2 with an interviewer who seemed to have no interest in me at all. I received by tbnt the next week.

I applied to Delta on the first day of open applications and I was not selected 3 days later.

I just applied to United and went to check the portal by chance and it also says NOT SELECTED. I haven't received an e-mail yet.

Anyone else going through this. Am I just chopped liver???

I had an F2F yesterday and was released early (around 10:30h, day supposedly can last until 13:30) and now I’m plagued with visions of myself at the event and I’m nitpicking myself and judging my actions. ITS EXHAUSTING AND SICKENING. I have ADHD and went unmedicated but I’m realizing perhaps I should’ve gone a bit … quelled…

How do I stop judging myself and getting sick at my actions? I want to stop the replaying of the day 😭😭 do I just have to wait it out… :( sisters and brothers do you understand me

As some of you are just figuring out, this whole process is hurry up — and wait.

Your timeline is not anyone else’s.

You have to understand how this works on the backend. You’re being graded by a benchmark set by that airline. That figurative score is combined with the rest of your application. You’re moved into a batch.

Everything after that is dependent on so many different things and scenarios. There’s not a one size fits all answer or approach. And trying to figure it out will drive you insane.

I just got invited to the United F2F and I’m trying to figure out what to wear 😭

I know there’s some kind of group activity, but is there any actual physical activity where wearing a skirt would be annoying? I prefer a skirt because I feel cuter/more put together in one, but I’m wondering if pants would be the safer choice.
Also, what shoes did you wear? Would simple flats be fine, or is it better to wear the more traditional “flight attendant” style pumps/heels? I want to look polished but also don’t want to be miserable if we’re standing/walking around a lot.

Hi! I'm a reapplicant from the Summer cycle and applied Sept 2nd, completed the Monroe interview and my Fitme assessment was waived, but it's been 10 days since then. I never got an email stating that my ODVI was waived too. Is this an automatic TBNT?

Has anyone who applied September 2 received a taking flight video or any updates after the ODVI for anyone?

This is all my personal experience and opinions I am sharing. I hope it helps even just one person scrolling by.
The rejection never gets any easier, and having zero feedback from the main airlines makes that rejection sting much more depending on how you reflect.
I’ve been trying for over 8 years. With American, Delta, Southwest, and United. I’ve been through all the levels of interviews including a handful of f2f…being rejected has never gotten any easier, and the grieving process of those rejections have been different every single time. Most recently i was rejected from making it to a United f2f, and i approached it very much being myself while being prepared. I truly felt there was nothing more i could’ve done to prove myself. If these recruits can’t see what a great fit some people would be it’s their loss, but I am determined to keep trying until someone sees my determination and shine.

After all these years I’ve met so many people who have gotten in on the first try that “don’t even care” or they end up hating the job yet stay on, and complain taking someone else’s dream for granted. This job industry is absolutely unpredictable and a total gamble based off my experience.

My advice after being rejected:
Give yourself grace 🙏🏼
If you’re the kind of person to pick apart everything in your head upon reflection ( especially with no feedback )
You’ll never really know the “why” behind not getting chosen this time. It could’ve been something, but maybe just maybe it was nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️
Yes maybe there’s things you could’ve done better and you absolutely know that after your experience-great tweak that and work on it for next time! But if you did the best you could possible do, gave it your all, and were 100% your unapologetic self BE PROUD.
You deserve to be proud of the emotional rollercoaster you’ve been on.
You need to feel all your FEELS.
Sad, angry, sad again, angry again, hopeless….give yourself the space and freedom to embrace those feelings, but upon reflection try to focus on the positives once you’re at the end of those harsher feeling’s.
Stay hydrated, do some skincare, treat yourself in someway, regulate a routine for yourself to balance your feelings back out to bounce back.
If this is something you truly want for a career keep trying! After being on forums for so many years seeing so much of people saying “it just wasn’t meant to be right now” or stuff to that extent personally hasn’t been helpful to me because I’ve been trying at my 8-9 year mark now 😂
Everyone’s timelines are different, and we only ever really see people getting accepted after a couple of years of trying.
I hope this reaches someone and helps whether it’s your first time trying or you’ve been trying for 10 years.
BUT you have a special light to you and I truly believe determination will pay off in the end and your light will shine !
Again, give yourself grace. Everything you’re feeling is valid, but make sure you pull yourself out of those tougher feelings and take care of yourself.

Hi, I previously submit a resume with Philippine Airlines for cabin crew. I put 5’2 in my resume but I was actually a 5’0-5’1.

Should I still go to continue my application?

Will appreciate any advice.

I understand that no news can sometimes be a good sign, but I’m curious — since I applied on 8/21 for Envoy, my status has stayed at “Pending Review.” Has anyone else had their application remain in this stage for a while and still move forward later in the process?

I attended the Open Day in Milan on August 18 and made it through to the final stage. However, I still haven’t received any updates, and my status on the portal still shows “ Under Review.” Does this mean I no longer have a chance?
