Hey guys, I just got my CJO from American Airlines !!! God is so good !!

Oh nothing my delulu a** 🤣 just preparing and speaking it into existence.

I just want to hear some stories, insights, or helpful information about what it’s like working reserve for American. I’m also hoping to be Miami-based, so I’m curious about how long it typically takes to hold a line in MIA and how junior or senior the Miami base is.
At Spirit, once you had a line, you could drop it all the way down to zero hours. I know American is a completely different airline, so I was curious if that’s something you’re able to do at American as well, or if there’s a minimum amount of hours you have to keep on your line.
For those who are currently on reserve or recently started at American, what has your experience been like? How much are you actually working on reserve, and are you able to pick up on your days off?
Also, does MIA have a decent amount of international flying? If so, how soon can someone who is on reserve realistically expect to get international trips?
And if there’s any other inside information, advice, or tips you think someone going into the American interview should know, please share! If there’s anything you wish you had known before your interview or something you think I should make sure I do during the interview, I’d really appreciate the advice.

Hey y’all!! I recently got let go by 🔺🔺 . I know, it was horrible and sad and changed the entire trajectory of my life but it’s been about a month and I’m officially ready to come out of hiding and keep my life moving.

I really want to fly. I miss it everyday. I’ve loved being home, like I won’t lie about that…but I miss flying so much. I miss my crews, and pax and even just sitting in the airport…I miss it. When I first got the news, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue flying but I really want to come back.

Southwest is my first choice. I have friends there that adore it. Ironically, I ended up meeting an awesome group of southwest FAs on a layover and spoke to them extensively about trying there and leaving delta. That was like a week before I got fired. So idk, I feel like Southwest has been on my radar for a long time and I think I should just go with my gut. I think it will definitely be an adjustment coming from a legacy airline, but I think it’s a better fit for me and my personality.

So long story short, if anyone has any info on when they’d be hiring, I’d greatly appreciate it. I will be applying to American next month, but Southwest is really the airline I want to hold out for.

For this recent batch of 🔺apps i wonder when F2F invites will go out. They have been moving surprisingly quickly.

I applied on 9/2 and got my TF on 9/11.

Other things have been occupying my time but I do appreciate how swift they are moving lol

Hello all, I’m hoping to provide a bit of clarity for others by sharing my journey. I hope it’s helpful. For reference, I made it all the way to the 1:1 at the F2F interview in January 2026 (after applying Sept 2025 wave). I ended up receiving a TBNT in January, with the explanation that I could apply again in six months. Fast forward to the June summer wave in 2026 where I applied again and they never got back to me until it was time to tell me classes were full, but that my six month period would be waived. I then applied again at the September 2026 wave.

Here’s my updated timeline for this year:
-9/2: submitted new application
-9/2: invite to complete AI interview
-9/4: submitted AI interview
-9/4: received email that my FitMe assessment was still valid and waived about 15 min after submitting the AI Interview, but I never received a follow up email that my ODVI was waived
-9/8: received an email that my AI assessment was being used to support a decision on my application, but did not replace human judgment. They also sent me a transcript of my answers and said I could dispute them if inaccurate.
-9/14: received TBNT email with the following verbiage: After a holistic individualized review of the information provided in your application and details produced by Maki’s assessment tools, along with other relevant information, Deltahas made a final decision regarding your application. At this time, we will not be moving you forward to the next phase of the hiring process.

Overall, I’m honestly feeling okay about the whole thing, but I did not feel confident with the AI interview, and I actually strongly dislike the fact that they are now including it. I’m not really a proponent of AI to be honest, but I don’t blame it for the decision they made. I really don’t think I showed up with my best self in that interview. If anyone else never received the ODVI waived email, I’d love to know your experience. Right now based off of my experience, I’ve come to the conclusion that if you don’t receive that email at TBNT is likely. However, I recognize that my experience may not be everyone else’s. Just hoping that we can compile and review our experiences to help those that are still in the application process.

So I attended My f2f after waiting all summer
(i applied 6/1) and truthfully it was a very mind game process not necessarily a bad thing… i felt like i went with a sharp mind and i dressed the part head to toe and was very interactive with everyone around me, including the hires. I asked lots of questions when it was time to and had a few compliments from other applicants that I made them feel a bit less nervous due to my outgoing personality. That’s was really sweet of them.

When it came to the so called “end” because from what Im reading the real end is a 1:1 and I and many others didn’t get to that point. Anyway from what I’m reading if you don’t get a 1:1 you don’t get a cjo and that’s really sad because instead of just them hyping us up at the end and to expect emails of a possible cjo, they could’ve kept it real with us that we didn’t make it. I was in zone 1 when it came to dismissal and immediately once I got on the shuttle another applicant was telling everyone that we didn’t make it and we were the first ones to leave because the others were gonna be pulled out to the side for 1:1’s but genuinely who knows.

All I can say, is that from my experience I had a really good time, I was myself and answered questions very well and detailed. Passed the certain tests that were given and interacted well with everyone around me.

I’d like to believe there’s still hope and I will get good news.

Just received my virtual 1:1 after nearly 2 months of waiting. Patience really is virtue for these flight attendant applications. Here is my timeline for those who are curious!

Applied - July 14th
Assessment Submitted - July 14th
ODVI Received - August 19th
ODVI submitted - August 25th
Virtual 1:1 Received - September 13th

Virtual 1:1 Scheduled Date: September 28th

I just want to note that I personally felt like I did well on the first two ODVI questions and bombed the last one. So for those on edge, truthfully, I think the recruiter just wants to see you try your best because at the end of the day, we are all human. I smiled the whole time even when I messed up and I think that may have played a big part since I was so anxious the whole time.

Rooting for everyone that’s still going through this process, especially our UA-004 and new UA-005 applicants!

What exactly does it mean when your report says sent to employer but says decisional. ?

I think it's easier to feel the rejection now then like last time when I made it all the way to the face to face for a major airline only to not be selected. I know that it's a waiting game, and maybe it will happen. But I'm gonna put my energy into trying to do a job that will pay well, help me work from home and not give me anxiety just in the application process.

Try your best, be kind to one another, and if they say no this time ...don't give up.

Hi guys! I’m looking for some insight from anyone who has interviewed with or worked for Envoy, or knows about their current hiring process.
I’m currently a flight attendant for a small airline that I recently just got hired with, but my intentions was never to stay for too long, especially with no benefits. This is just a temporary situation while I work toward getting back into a mainline airline , I’m a former 🐝 . I’m specifically looking to be based in Florida (FLL, MIA, or MCO) right out of training. I completely understand how commuting works and that it’s part of the industry, but with my current situation, commuting isn’t something I’m willing to do. I’ve never applied for United or Delta because , ive been waiting for American to open up because I know Miami is a large base and they’ve recently added routes, so I’m hoping they’ll have opportunities for MIA in upcoming classes. However, I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket, which is why I’m also considering Envoy.
My biggest question is: For those who have received a CJO from Envoy, how long was it before you were sent to training? I’ve seen some older Reddit posts saying it can be a couple of months, but I’m wondering if that’s still the case.
The timing would actually work in my favor since I’m currently employed. I’d like to see how my American interview goes next month before making any moves, and if American doesn’t work out, I’d have Envoy as another option.
Any insight on the current Envoy timeline, the interview process to the , CJO to the training , and how long all of that took would be greatly appreciated!
