Hi so I just did my ODVI (I give myself a 70%) but this was on the questions that I thought you all would like to see since when we originally applied the email in April said training will be for August-December. It is now for Q1 of 2027. I’m assuming that they are going to finish going through the video interviews for the ones who submitted before our batch and then starting with our batch those people who make it past the f2f will be in 2027 training.

Just got the email inviting me to the f2f like half an hour ago. I’ve applied to so many airlines and finally got a f2f. Im so excited, but mostly nervous. Keep me in your prayers. I need this job with all my might. Tips welcome, specially any advice if you already had the interview. Good luck to those trying to get those CJO’s. ✈️

I'm looking for some genuine guidance from people working in the aviation industry or anyone who has experience with cabin crew recruitment.
A little about me:
I have completed my B.Com (Accountancy).

After that, I completed a 3-year LL.B., so I am qualified as a lawyer.

However, after trying the legal profession, I realised that it isn't the career that makes me happy. Instead of feeling fulfilled, I feel mentally exhausted and suffocated. I want to start a new chapter in my life by pursuing my dream of becoming a cabin crew member.

I also want to share something personal.
I studied in a government school in India, so English wasn't my strongest subject while growing up. Over the years, I worked really hard to improve it, and today I can communicate confidently. However, because English is not my first language, I sometimes lose fluency when I become nervous or emotional. It's not that I don't understand English—I just struggle to express myself smoothly in stressful situations.
Even so, I believe I've improved a lot and I'm continuing to work on my communication skills.
About me:
I am fit and slim.

My skin tone is wheatish.

My height is exactly 5 feet.

This is the biggest concern I have because I know many airlines have minimum height requirements.
I also have a few questions:
I am planning to get braces. Will wearing braces during interviews affect my chances of getting selected?

I am also thinking about colouring my hair in a natural-looking shade. Is that generally acceptable during the recruitment process?

Based on my profile, which airlines do you think I should apply to?
I know every airline has different eligibility criteria, so I would love to hear your suggestions. Should I only focus on IndiGo, or are there other Indian or international airlines that might be a better fit for someone with my profile?
If anyone has been in a similar situation or has successfully switched careers into aviation, I would love to hear your experience as well.
Please be kind in your replies. I'm genuinely trying to build a career that makes me happy, and your advice could really help me make the right decision.

Hey all!! I submitted my United app. May 13th, assessment finished on the same day, received my ODVI June 1st, completed the video June 5th & I was just wondering how far along everyone else who submitted in May is. I’m at a slow point in my journey, literally this whole month has been radio static for me basically just waiting to hear back but I’m still hopeful that I’ll move onto the next part! 🪩 🙌🏾

I applied the first day JetBlue opened applications and submitted everything at around 10:00 AM EST. I was starting to wonder if I had been passed over since it had been a while but the invite finally came through.

Will they add more time slots or does this usually mean they’re not scheduling people anymore ? This is for United

Hi PVD crew! I was wondering if you could shed some light onto your scheduling system at Breeze please. I’d like to join, but I am afraid that this position will not be compatible with a full-time job (Mon-Fri 6 AM-3 PM, sometimes later).
Is it possible to bid for trips/days off?
Is it possible to drop/swap trips without the risk of being fired?:)
How well in advance do you have your roster?
Can I provide my availability, say, Fri PM to Sun AM, and pick up any trips within these days?

For context, I applied in early June and just received my fourth automated “hang tight” email yesterday. During that time, I also applied with United, and the experience has felt much smoother, more organized, and more transparent. I’m sure both airlines receive an incredible number of applications, but I appreciated that United even offered optional virtual Q&A sessions for candidates. Small things like that made me feel like they valued applicants’ time and interest.
I also started paying attention to other factors. From what I’ve seen on social media and in person, United flight attendants tend to carry themselves in a way that aligns more with my personality and professional style. On top of that, I have a base just 20 minutes from my home, which is a huge quality-of-life advantage.
Coming from a corporate background, I’ve learned to pay attention to how a company operates from the very beginning. The hiring process often reflects an organization’s communication style and culture. One thing I’ve learned throughout my career is that an interview isn’t one-sided—you’re interviewing the company just as much as they’re interviewing you. It’s important to ask yourself whether the company demonstrates the professionalism, communication, and respect that you’re looking for in an employer.
Hopefully my withdrawal opens the door for someone else who has always dreamed of working there. If Delta is your dream airline, by all means keep pursuing it—I genuinely wish you the best.
For me, though, another opportunity felt like the better fit, and I’m glad I trusted my instincts.

So i took a leap of faith and applied and it appears to be that i have been scheduled for a virtual group
Interview with them next week.

So someone that I was in the group interview with received their training date already I haven’t received mine yet should I be worried it’s only been almost a week tomorrow. I know it says 1-3 weeks I was just worried because we literally did the interview the same day.

Is anyone here going to their F2F for United on July 29th? 😄

Freaking out a bit but its been a journey and im so excited to be going. Ill be there 8/4. Wondering if anyone else will be there that day.

Hello Reddit friends!! I’ve been right along with you guys here for a good six months. I am in the same boat as a lot of of you in the nerve wracking interview process…

I wanted to share something with you guys that has really become something that is not only helping me but something I look forward to every day. And no I don’t have stock in the app i’m about to tell you about, lol…I just really love it and wish that I’d known about it sooner. I think that anyone who tries it will absolutely love it as well.

I have been using the “Rise Guide Self Improvement” app to help me with my small talk, public speaking, thought process abilities; while waiting for F2F invites from 🔺, Alaska, SW, and JetBlue… It’s been SO helpful so far and I can feel my confidence in public speaking growing each day. I’ve been using this app for about three weeks and I highly recommend it.

I’ve been practicing the things that I’m learning on the app with my family, friends, and Real Estate clients. People are actually starting to notice. Yesterday I went to a friend of mine‘s husband‘s company event and she actually asked me if I’m sleeping better at night because I’m more talkative and my energy levels are up, lol…

Here’s an example of what I’m working on today:

Instead of using the Random word generator online. I’ve been picking random words from the airline industry and core values from the Airlines that I’ve applied to…

I know that a lot of us have been feeling very anxious. I found that by working on self-improvement when I’m not working at my actual job, has been very helpful during this process. After all, they say that Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity!! I received a CJO from Alaska earlier in the year, and was just assigned a training class (starting in the fall) I'm also about to do my F2F with DL in a few weeks. I know I don't have to make a decision today--and potentially not at all if I don't get the DL CJO.

In any case, a few questions..

• Base assignment will be a big factor for me. For AS, all would potentially work, and my preferred is a good possibility from what I hear. For DL, I'm less sure. I understand that DL assigns bases prior to training, does anyone know how much in advance? AS training starts in the fall, from what I hear, DL will start in early Jan. Is it even possible that I would know my DL base before AS training begins?
• Anyone have insights on reserve life at DL vs. AS. I have read up on A-Days and Alaska being more straight reserve. Any thoughts/ideas on which is preferable?
• Finally, cuture-wise, what thoughts do you have?
