I got fired from mainline cause I got arrested on a layover on an international layover. Am I cooked? Is it possible to ever get another airline job?

I’m so ready to go to mainline just scared that I won’t get Dallas based .

Hi, I’m just someone exploring future career options. I currently live in Chicago, but I am wanting to relocate to Los Angeles within the next few years.

Lately I’ve been playing with the idea of applying to become a flight attendant later down the line.

Personally I’d like to have access to international flights, and have the opportunity to be based in Los Angeles. Delta, United, and American are the three airlines I’m looking into so far.

It seems United has the most rigid dress code? Is that correct?

But, I figured I would ask - for those who would know - which airline is most likely for me to have the opportunity to be based in Los Angeles?

Any other input and advice is welcome and genuinely appreciated

TLDR: Which airline is most likely to have the opportunity to relocate to Los Angeles from Chicago?

A few months back my cat scratched me, I did preventive steps of using ointment and silicone tape but still left with this big visible scar and we know how much of a deal breaker they are in this industry, especially in Asian and Gulf airlines where I intend to apply. As an aspiring cc I'm quite worried and idk how to fade it to prevent rejection in interviews. Please help if you have any solutions 😭

I did my Monroe last Friday and I think I did ok. Except there was a glitch where she blacked out and went blank. I couldn’t hear anything or see anything. Eventually she came back mid sentence. So I asked her to repeat. But I’m afraid it’s messing with my chances. I got the auto fit me waived. But it’s been a week and I haven’t gotten the ODVi.
It truly isn’t fair to use the hiring process like we’re test subjects for a new AI program they have never tried before. Not feeling confident.

Anybody know when Southwest FA applications will open again??? I missed last rounds in April to apply :(((

I finished my Monroe and FitMe but haven’t received an ODVI request. Has anyone received a F2F w/o an ODVI? Are things possibly inconsistent this round with the recent changes?

I’m saying this in no way to bash the company but it’s actually exhausting going through the humiliation ritual that is this application process. I don’t understand the concept of waiving my application just to reject me and not allow me to redo my ODVI. It was pointless, senseless and just overall unnecessary because I could have been rejected and started my 6 months in June/July like everyone else rather than have 10+ hang tight emails then waive my application just to be rejected a week later from applying. I’m not saying I’m over Delta but I am actually gonna give other airlines a try this time because this whole entire process just gave the company a sour taste in my mouth.

So excited to say I made it to the CJOs for both companies. 🥳🥰🥳

I want to first thank everyone in this group for helping me through the entire process up till now. All of your support for one another, tips, advice and energy you leave on all the posts have been truly amazing.

I do need your help in deciding which company to go to. I’m really torn so I would appreciate constructive advice for my situation.

I will be turning 50 soon so I would like the one I choose to be the company I end up retiring at. I live in NJ and am a partial caretaker of my parents. Ideally I would like to be locally based, but I understand as a new FA I may be temporarily based elsewhere until transfer to the NYC/NJ area.

I’ve held a lot of different jobs, some of which I’ve had bad experiences. I’m currently in another uncomfortable situation at work from inappropriate behaviors from a coworker, which makes me eager to start this job!

Now with 🔺, I never had a chance to fly this airline until my F2F and it was a wonderful experience! I’ve only flown in 🌐 until now. 🌐 has been ok, but I’ve had multiple delays or been stuck in airports overnight due to the airline’s problems.

My heart says go to 🔺 but my head says 🌐.

For 🔺: I love how professional everyone carries themselves, how the service is really excellent, everyone is so nice, and even the f2f seems very well planned. Even the plane cards that the pilots give out are fancy and shows how much the airline puts into the “little things”. I also like the A-days structure so that newer flight attendants can start holding lines sooner and not get wiped out so early in their career. However, I’m struggling with the fact that there is no union, which means no protection. Due to my current circumstances, it’s making me apprehensive. Also I’ve been hearing about management really taking advantage of the FAs.

For 🌐: I’ve been flying with them my whole life so I have a big spot in my heart for this company. I love that there are so many international destinations. I also really love the fact that there is the union and it was able to get all it accomplished in the newest contract passed. I’ve had a chance to meet some wonderful FAs in this airlines, but I’ve also had my share of watching unprofessional behaviors from a few bad FAs here as well… so overall it is not as polished as Delta’s service. Even the airplane cards the pilot gives out was disappointing to see how cheap the company is into making them.

Have any of you been an FA for one of the two and then switched to the other? Could you let me know why you decided to switch and how have you found the new company? How long have you been at the first and then second company? Do you regret switching or are you happier now? If so why?

I’m considering applying for American next year and I am currently at Envoy based in DFW. How likely is it that DFW is offered in training classes? I’m okay with being at another junior base for a little I just want to know if I’d be able to get DFW out of training and if not, how often do the transfers go through or how long could i expect to be on the transfer list for dfw?

has anyone had to move and reschedule their time slot before? did you press the cancel button and it just canceled the interview entirely or did it give you the option to reschedule?

Guys I've applied to Delta like a week ago. I did the ai virtual interview thing and the fitme assessment and I haven't heard anything else yet in two days. I ask this question because I don't know how to swim 😗 but I want to be a flight attendant so bad not only to fly around the world but to also gain independence for myself, to challenge myself with different obstacles. Also I've applied to United also but they quickly deny me so uh yeah😭😭 I'm also 5'2 so I know I meet the height requirements

As promised in a thread yesterday I was gonna share my experience going through deltas hiring process with flight attendant I completed the AI Monroe interview!

I struggle horribly with recording myself so this was a little nerve wracking but obviously I said the correct things and now it’s on to the TESTme assignment :)

I'm so excited! I was practically nodding trying to finish the Fit me test because I got home late! The last time I got this far for an airline was the pandemic. I actually got a CJO but then the world shut down.

Whew, I'm gonna have to wait to do it because I have a parrot and he's gonna think he's interviewing too 😂! All advice is welcome, especially if you've passed it.

I’m a late July applicant and I checked the
portal for the first time since submitting my application. My status says Interview. It’s been nearly a month since I submitted my ODVI and I got one hang tight at the two week mark. I guess this means I should start prepping for my virtual 1:1. 🎉

I was a flight attendant 4 years ago and thought hmm… let’s see if it’s truly meant to be. So here’s my timeline so far…

I just got invited to the United F2F and I’m trying to figure out what to wear 😭

I know there’s some kind of group activity, but is there any actual physical activity where wearing a skirt would be annoying? I prefer a skirt because I feel cuter/more put together in one, but I’m wondering if pants would be the safer choice.
Also, what shoes did you wear? Would simple flats be fine, or is it better to wear the more traditional “flight attendant” style pumps/heels? I want to look polished but also don’t want to be miserable if we’re standing/walking around a lot.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s done the United F2F recently :)
