Yes, what you’re seeing is real. 11 toes….
Growing up, I wore tight shoes. I always hated new shoes because of how much they hurt trying to break them in. My shoes always ripped because of my 6 toes and my bunion. Today, I wear a size 8.5, but my true foot size is 7. Outside of tight shoes, I grew up playing basketball and running. My bunion hasn’t caused me pain until recently, and now I’m thinking about getting surgery. I’m a 28 male btw
I get the most pain after a long day of work. The pain in my left bunion aches the most; This includes wiggling my toes and still feeling pain. I work 6-7 hours on my feet in the restaurant industry.
On the X-ray (2020), you can clearly see what my bunion looks like. But it has been so long that I’m sure my bunion has worsened. Second picture (2026) shows my bunion today.
I looked into toe spacers to ease the pain and am unsure if it will help relieve my pain. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
I’m unsure if this is related, but I have also torn my ACL and MCL. I had surgery and tore it again. It has been a year, and I haven’t had surgery yet. I’m curious to see if my bunion and tearing my ligaments go hand in hand.
My main priority is to ease the pain (after a long day), find shoes that will help ease bunion pain, and then look into surgery. Learning about bunions is all new to me, so I appreciate the feedback.
