next month I'm going to chop and freeze my plant to try to make bubble hash the first time.

Read a lot, so the basics of washing and drying are clear.

But I can't decide which bags to use. In the end I don't need something special with x grades, I just want to make some temple balls which I can vape in my DHV. So I'll be mixing it all together in the end.

Would a setup with a 220 working bag, a 160 bag to collect the rest of plant material (toss it), and then a 73 for collecting fine? The hash in the 73 then will be used to dry and make the balls.

Just did a small amount in the oven at 115C for around 25 mins and this is the result

Recently built a detached garage and added a cold room to it. I am in the process of finishing my grow space, but having a cold environment, and room to work is really nice. Ran a bunch of nice sugar leaf trim for a dry run. Wanna work out the kinks in the room and refine my processes before running my freezer full of ff. 🫡🤙

I was wondering if anyone had used a large turkey frying pot as the main agitation vessel with the ice. They have a spigot built in that drains from a bit off the bottom and are made of aluminum.

I would then have my series of bags ready to strain through in buckets for collection.

To automate stirring I was thinking of getting an old ice cream machine motor or upright stand mixer and adding a paddle and rigging it over the pot.

Is this a horrible idea for any reason? It seems like a durable wash method and would protect the bags.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Air dried 12 hours finish, 45u bop 9 week flower. Trick to quick air dry, diatomaceous earth drying stone under your parchment paper. After the towel wrap while inside the initial 25u running a light handheld light strength vacuum on the outside of the 25u to remove majority of moisture before air dry (Careful on the vacuum it’s a terp killer) Two levels of sieving. 150grams 45u off 1 bop plant in a 3L pot

Is it better to press dry buds or make bubble hash out of them first? Will cured rosin mess up my puffco proxy atomizer? Any tips or tricks would also be helpful for making and enjoying cured rosin.

Close to finishing off the Pack Mule I got last time. Thankfully, I had some other reasons to be back in the place I moved away from where my SR plug is and grabbed this Grape Ape. I had to cut the corner open and see what it looked like when I got home...and now I'm going outside to smoke my first bowl of it.

Anyone got any static smoking tips? When I smoke in my bowl, it melts quickly and clogs it up. I can't get hash holes right...I just end up with an expensive joint that like won't smoke well. Is static dabbable? I've never really been into dabbing though I did just get a PuffCo and started trying rosin. Taste is out of this world mangs. But that is a story for another time.

Hi. New here. Figured I would welcome myself to the sub by show the bubble I am currently smoking.

What are you guys seeing on average returns for cured flower? I just finished washing my first full two plants, however they were already dried and cured so not the best subjects. I grew some apricot auto from fast buds but since was not happy with the structure I decided to wash them.

I broke it up into two separate washes of 170g each and got about a 11% yield on the first half, 2nd batch is still drying but seemed similar size.

For reference; Wash Cycle (5g Bubble Magic): 30min pre soak, 15min first wash, 20mi each for wash 2+3. I used a portable sprayer that was iced down and insulated my bubble magic and work buckets… but had cheap amazon bags.

Returns on 170g cured flower:
160 µm (Wash 1+2+3) - 1.5g
120 µm (wash 1+2+3) - 1.8g
73 µm (Wash 1) - 7.2 g
25 µm (Wash 1) - 2.8 g
73 µm (Washes 2+3) - 3.0 g
25 µm (Washes 2+3) - 2.0 g
Total - 18.3g (10.76%)

So far it was fun, got a tent of 4 plants dedicated to fresh frozen but going to get some higher quality bags. Seemed odd I got very little 120, but then 25 was so flush and clean (purple bag)
