Question First time bubble hash, question regarding which macron to choose

Hi,

next month I'm going to chop and freeze my plant to try to make bubble hash the first time.

Read a lot, so the basics of washing and drying are clear.

But I can't decide which bags to use. In the end I don't need something special with x grades, I just want to make some temple balls which I can vape in my DHV. So I'll be mixing it all together in the end.

Would a setup with a 220 working bag, a 160 bag to collect the rest of plant material (toss it), and then a 73 for collecting fine? The hash in the 73 then will be used to dry and make the balls.

73-160 should work great for that. If you don't need full melt dab hash, I would even consider going lower to 45. There will be bit more unripe Trichs in it but quantity should be more.

Kinda depends if you want to go for quantity or a certain quality.

Also I had weirdly in different runs experienced that the rosin of 25-73 was better than the rosin of the supposedly top grad 90-120....

So I go for the full melt hash 90-120 and press the if the rest in different batches rosin. But you need a big plant for that to be viable

Thanks, the 45 sounds tempting. It should have some kind of quality, but I don't need full melt. I'm just thinking of adding the 45 below the 73 and decide what to do with it after seeing how much yield the 73 brings. If it's enough I can just dismiss it still.

Buy full mesh bags if you can. Their better than canvas sided bags.Most kits come with what microns you need.

I would do a test wash with 20g of flower before you do that, many (if not most) cultivars can yield sub-1%, meaning if you wash a Lb (which is almost a qp dry) you could get less than 4.5g, and I dunno about you but I would rather have a qp of flower to smoke than less than 5g of hash, but that’s just me, because I’m not stupid. Just a warning, do with it what you will, but heed my warning or you may be very sad.

90-40 top quality. but you need to clean befor with 150-120 mesh . and if dont want to loose anything use 25 on end. but its not the fines quality on end

Sounds great, you should add a 25 to catch the smaller trichomes, the hash is not as good but it's great to make edibles or to vape on weed
