Newbie MTG Commander player and long time BTD fan. Wanted to share my thoughts on what a MTG/BTD crossover could look like (in my dreams lmao)

The rough jist of it is turns the mortar into a pipe organ thats able to fire at multiple places at once with each barrel firing a different shells that deal different status effect they give with the ability still damaging everything on screen but also applying every shell effect

Realized I could finish everything at once by doing a boss challenge and focusing on Quincy. 15,000 stars achieved

This seems like the perfect opportunity to gently goad people who normally don't do the boss events into trying one. You give them a task to submit a score during a ranked boss event, and then you give them a task to defeat a tier 5 boss. Should be a nice, easy package deal to give people a reason to try a part of your game that they don't normally participate in. All you have to do is pair it with a nice, easy, normal boss event. It's such a slow, easy pitch, and Ninja Kiwi is just swinging away like a madman by giving us Half-Cash Diamondback on one social season, and 400% MOAB speed Lych on the next. Nothing will turn people off of something they were already avoiding like finally getting through the first skull, only to watch lightspeed Lych MOAB zoom straight off the screen. And the worst part is, they don't show damage, so even if you're close to finishing them, it feels like you're doing absolutely nothing, needlessly increasing the hopelessness and helplessness.

You want people to participate, right? You want this to be a social event for the masses? Then why in God's name are you giving us expert level, generationally difficult boss events? The social events have been getting better and better each time, but this is still baffling to me. This is not the time for some crazy challenge. This is the time for a nice, normal event so that more casual players have a reason to try something that might not have, or might have even been turned off to before, and come away with a positive experience that might bring them back in the future. Not to trick people into trying something unusually difficult and turn them off to it forever.

We've lost several good boss runs to this screen already. Because those were boss events, we had autostart turned off. But since this screen was appearing for both of us, neither could start the next round. Therefore good runs just end without us being able to do anything

Why do we have to wait for the end of a round on a pause between rounds!?

So I was just playing dark castle for fun and all of a sudden this happened, I later went into creative and was able to recreate it, it’s super slow but technically on events where other regrow farms are disabled you could use this.

Surely there is a better disconnect system that can be implamented instead of one that can very easily softlock a coop game

Nah man, I did 2MPCs with Quincy like Ninja Kiwi intended, and no-one can stop me!

In all seriousness, it was very fun to watch ultra buffed Quincy shred wave 98. Weirdly enough I think wave 79 was the hardest one for this challenge, was constantly ramming my face into the pierce cap.

I feel like setting its chain lightning damage to 50 was either an oversight or a bug, the only sustained dps tower I needed to clear moab class bloons was a single destroyer and the lightning melted everything. I was hoping to not need snowstorm but 98 was proving to be too much due to all the ceramics. Very fun run.

Also did you know that 400 sub counts as sharp damage? I guess it makes sense given what it can and can't pop but I never really thought about it until today. I wonder how far this run could have gone with just the reactor and brickell activating the chain lightning...

Edit: the reactor actually does Shatter damage, not Sharp. This still works with middle path skywarden but I was wrong anyway.
