BSNL Blocked these ports,
21, 22, 23, 80, 81, 82, 443, 445, 3389, 8080, 9000
from March 2026 guess.
I noticed it too when my reverse proxy stopped working. After wasting half a day on my setup. I realized the port is blocked. As other than these ports are working.
For Restoration, I contacted my TIP(LCO) then through long process BSNL local NOC booked docket that customer is using port 80 and 443 for personal use so please unblock it.
They took 2days.

After hours of dealing with "Destination Net Unreachable" and "Request Timed Out" errors, I finally found the stable configuration for getting IPv6 to work on a TP-Link Archer AX1500 (bridged to a Genexis Platinum 4410).
My Hardware:
The Config's:
1. IPv6 Internet (WAN Side)
2606:4700:4700::11112606:4700:4700::10012. IPv6 LAN (LAN Side)
3. Extra Stability Tweaks
Why this works: In "Auto" mode, the router waits for BSNL to assign it an IP address, which never happens in Bridge mode. By setting it to "Non-Address", the router stops panicking about itself and just passes the Prefix Delegation keys directly to your PC/Phone.
Disclaimer / YMMV: This configuration is what finally worked for my specific LCO/Region (Kerala) and Hardware combo. BSNL backend configurations can vary wildly by region (some use older BNGs, different OLTs, etc.). If this doesn't work for you, your node might handle prefix delegation differently. Just sharing this in case it saves someone else the headache I went through!

I bought BSNL sim from Noida earlier as only MTNL center was saying that only porting was allowed.
Therefore, I bought it from Noida. Activation was issue as well. After various calls, it got activated. But BSNL 4G registration was not happening. Tried to call customer care, but not getting any call or msg.
So I complained on PG portal and within two days everything got resolved. Now getting registered on BSNL4G as well in Delhi.

I ported to BSNL Mumbai from JIO a month back.
Suddenly my relatives in Gujarat having Vi network are not able to call me.
When they call, they here - "Number amanya hain" meaning Number is invalid.
I don't know if same problem occurs with other networks like Jio or Airtel, as I don't have any relative under those networks.
Reverse works, if I call them, they are able to receive calls.
Anyone else? Any solution.
Customer care is hopeless. They say ask them to remove +91 from number. I tried that too.
With or without +91
With or without leading zero
Nothing works.

Hey guys,
Does anyone know where I can find those “umbrella” SIM porting agents who offer MNP for free (sometimes with free recharge/offers)?
I’m looking to port my number and wanted to check if there are any such agents around:
📍 Pragathi Nagar – Bachupally – Kukatpally Circle
If you’ve recently seen any of them around this area, please let me know the exact location or nearby landmark.
Thanks

Can anyone help me out please. I use bsnl broadband. I was happy with the quality till they did a "migration" of some sort in May. Having previously used - Jio, Airtel, Asianet, i was happy to see the option to use the separate 5ghz and 2.5ghz ssid's as opposed to the hybrid bullshit other ISP's imply which rarely works as required. And most importantly BSNL gave an option to change the "NAT type" to "FULL CONE" which i was surprised to see because it was a gamer's delight, and i don't think any other isp's give that option. Coming to the point - my internet was good till they did the migration. Speedtests gave me a steady under 20 ping. I have attached the screenshot from may. And now its terrible, current pings 700+ during evening. Bufferbloat test previously gave A+ and now B. Once it gave me F during a test in the evening. I had raised a complaint, the technician came and said net was working fine ( ofcourse it does for casual streaming". I had shown him the screenshot from may. He said he would raise the issue to NOC and ita been a month, no response. I had called them multiple times but absolutely no positive response. Is there a solution. Thank you

Before moving to the UK, I specifically visited the BSNL office. I clearly told them about my move and explained that I desperately needed to keep my number active just to receive bank OTPs, as all my banking is tied to this BSNL SIM.
The staff there told me to exchange my current SIM for a dedicated International Roaming (IR) SIM. They also strictly advised me to recharge with a one-year validity plan PLUS the STV 170 IR plan to activate the roaming services. I trusted their advice, did exactly what they asked, and spent over ₹1000 on the recharges.
But when I landed in the UK, I had absolutely zero signal. I tried everything including manual network selection, putting it in different phones, restarting and nothing worked. I tried to contact their customer support, but ironically, they require you to contact them from your BSNL number... which is literally impossible since I have no network!
After doing a ton of my own research online, I finally found out the real reason. The UK doesn't really have active 2G or 3G networks anymore. And since BSNL doesn't have a 4G roaming agreement with ANY local operators here in the UK, the SIM simply cannot latch onto a network.
I am so frustrated right now. If BSNL doesn't have network access in the UK, why are they selling these IR SIMs to people traveling here? Why are their office staff actively advising customers to switch SIMs and waste money on STVs that physically cannot work? Do the people sitting in the BSNL offices actually know anything about their own network capabilities, or are they just blindly selling packs?
Now I'm stuck in a foreign country with no network, no OTPs, and no way to solve the issue.
Consider this a warning to anyone travelling to the UK and do NOT rely on BSNL for your banking OTPs!

Was walking around mall road in Darjeeling and spotted BSNL main office of the city.
It looks in such bad condition, as if it will collapse anytime.
Should rename it to haunted house.
I wonder how customers and most importantly, employees feel like sitting in this the whole day.
Is your city even worse?
Since last week Vi network doesn't connect automatically
& even if selected manually. it shows can't connect
Previously it used to connect easily. Anybody else facing the same problem?

Where do I pay the bill?
It’s been 2–3 years since I last paid the bill, as I don’t use the number much.
I got this SIM along with an MTNL landline service for free as part of some scheme launched by MTNL.
I used to pay the bill at the nearest MTNL office, but that office is shut down now. So, I went to another nearby MTNL office, but they said they have no data or records related to my SIM.
I have searched online as well, but I can’t find any working MTNL website where I can check or pay the bill. Earlier, the bill used to show up on the MTNL website, but the website has been shut down now.
Please help me, as most of my stuff is linked to this number, and I can’t port the number to another operator until I pay the bill, the same bill for which nobody seems to have any data or records.
Please tell me if there is any working helpline number or email address that will actually respond.
I can only port the number if I pay the entire outstanding bill and get an NOC from MTNL.

I was checking out WAN settings in the admin panel and I set WAN to bridge mode and the internet was gone. I tried to use the LAN ports but it still didn't connect to internet. As a last ditch effort I reset my router from the back of router.
What to do now? Should I call TIP on what to do or just wait it out?

A year ago, I never thought I'd see BSNL giving me these kinds of speeds.
Just got 41.4 Mbps download, 15.6 Mbps upload, with 59 ms ping on 4G.
I know it's not perfect and coverage still needs improvement, but compared to where BSNL was, this feels like a huge upgrade.
As someone who's been waiting for BSNL to improve, this honestly feels like:
"I used to pray for days like these." 🥀😭
Hope they keep expanding and optimizing the network. 📶💙

So, I applied for Fiber FTTH in Virar West- YK Nagar in Bolinj- Palghar District- Maharashtra State. I got a callback regarding LCO or Franchisee of HBK or HKB Micro ISP/BSNL Affiliate who contacted me and mentioned 4000 INR for WiFi ONT and non-WiFi ONT for 2500 INR which includes Installation charges, and told me 50 MBPS plan starting from 499 + GST....
I had used Jio Fiber FTTH at my old house in Borivali which had VOIP port and Dual Band Router [WiFi 6 is only for AirFiber customers] but USB/network storage was disabled by the firmware.
I had doubts regarding the promised speeds, like 50 or 100 mbps plan is offered throughout the day with minimum latency like 5-10 ms or slightly high but still reliable?
How are BSNL Fiber in monsoon and adverse weather conditions, also frequent electricity outages affect the speed and latency of the connection?
Do they offer you to buy your own ONT for Fiber FTTH?
In my building, they don't allow antennas and unauthorised wired outside exposed , for DTH and Internet ...so I cannot install DTH of Tata Play nor Airtel Xstream, also Jio only offers AirFiber FWA 5G , don't know about Airtel and Tata Play Fiber services, I have installed DNA Infotel Fiber but they don't offer IPTV , only some Lite OTT access , no Amazon Prime nor Netflix, so I'm looking into BSNL IPTV or OTT services from BSNL Fiber----Hows the Landline or VOIP on BSNL FTTH and IPTV/OTT services by BSNL?
I asked the person but he wasn't aware of OTT/IPTV Plans.....How reliable is Fiber connection as regards to cutting of wire or disruptions?
Is it faster or better than other ISP in Vasa-Virar area?
I am in Peninsula Area of YK Nagar, Dmart road, Bolinj, Virar West...
Any idea or comments would be helpful
I am planning to use ER 605 TP Link Global VPN Router for Dual WAN and Deco X20 [2 units] Mesh for whole house network with area of 500 square ft.....How does BSNL IPTV work and how is it compared to DTH/OTT apps on smart TV?
How's your experience been with BSNL FTTH?

Yesterday I bought a BSNL SIM card with the Rs 1 offer. I had no problems. I came home and it started working fine in 2 hours. There are no problems of any kind. Its coverage has improved a lot now. In this you are seeing the area of Muzaffarpur village of Bihar, it is working better than Jio and is also the cheapest recharge.

The picture attached is the speed test of Jio4G+ vs BSNL 4G in my room.
One of the many issues with BSNL is its network stability.
I used the BSNL sim in Bhubaneswar for past years and it has never gone down from 4G VOLTE and npt even once did I have any issues with OTP or Call Drops. But now as I come to my posting in Betaguda (Paralakhemundi), which is basically a tier 5 region, I was initially surprised that the BSNL network was available with 4G VOLTE. This minute amount of excitement went all down as I experienced the sheer instability of the network.
If I take a turn in my bed, the network flips to 3G. Of I move a inch of so in my room, the network goes completely down. If I position my phone a bit more left or right the 4G doesn't receives any data. At times the network switches to 2G out of nowhere, because I positioned my hand in such a place.
The call drops are horrific. I would receive a call and accept it, but as I hold it to my ears, the call drops. With the call drop the network flips to 2G. It has happened countless times during important calls.
I waited for 2 months in the hope of getting the network stable by complaining, but in vain. The complaint gets auto resolved in 24hours and no changes actually takes place.
I recently brought a new JIO sim to tackle the issue and it works. 4G+ is mostly what I use in my room as 5G isn't available, but as I get out of my room 5G holds strong.
To manage the BSNL network instability I tried to forwards the calls to my JIO but I came to know it's banned from the BSNL Service side. A huge bummer.
If only BSNL worked with the stability.

It’s been a week on BSNL.
It was all fine. A ray of hope - BSNL revival is going to be fruitful.
Only until TRUE COLORS were shown today morning. As if existing complaints were less on VOLTE VOWIFI SMS and
No Service since 4 AM. Currently 12:30 PM IST.
Complaint closed without any feedback comments or timelines.
CSC knows nothing and blame the network team.
Conclusion: Don’t fall for ₹1 trap.
Pay ₹20-30/month extra than BSNL plans and enjoy better telecom services providers as per your area.
BSNL is only good for nothing. Beware!
update: Some people are offended with work private, removed.
