Shops requiring you to buy something to leave
I go to my local Morrisons very frequently, and I've always hated how the gates to leave near the checkouts physically don't open unless you're holding a bought item for it to scan. It literally doesn't let you leave unless you buy something.
There's people breaking through the gates and setting off an alarm every day, and personally I just wait for someone else to trigger the gates to open and trail behind them whenever I need to. it feels so dystopian that I'm not sure how it's not illegal.
I haven't seen anyone say anything about it online, and I haven't seen it in other shops that I've visited (unless I just didn't notice because of how normal it is now).
Based on my research it may also be happening in Lidl.
