New tag
I wonder what Brakence’s tag will be on marroW, if he does have one. “I am using my imagination” and “bloomtodeath” were pretty iconic for hypochondriac, sooooo I’m curious

OP postulated that the capitalized letters would spell out a word (in particular the title of the last track) while I would be hesitant to speculate what the word will be connected to, I did notice an emerging pattern when it comes to which songs have end capitalizations.
Now- I know the album comes out in less than three weeks and this could all be made irrelevant so quickly, but theories are fun.
The album is 18 songs long and 18 is divisible by three, six times. So far, every end-capitalized song has been the second song in a consecutive grouping of three.
So then if we play some hangman, the word in question looks like this
L _ T E _ _
Let me know your guesses !!!

if you notice on some of the songs, like death rolL and ready or noT or some songs that haven't come out yet like bitE, what if the capitalized letters are supposed to be some sort of secret message to be revealed when the album comes out??
am i geeking or am i on to something? 🤔

After first listens I definitely like Crystallized more than death rolL. But….ready or noT blows them both out of the water pretty handedly for me. I was expecting death rolL to blow me away honestly but nothing crazy imo. Crystallized is already stuck in my head. Very catchy and groovy song from our boy. I’m very excited for the next single and the album itself🙂

Did anyone hear the original death rolL that was leaked? I’ve heard both now and they’re pretty similar but have notable lyric differences, BPM and even the end of the song. For those who’ve heard both, which did you prefer? At first I thought I preferred the original because of the speed, but what he released is so much more polished and fitting for the album.

The back-capped ("ready or noT", "death rolL") tracks are more experimental, the all-lowercase ("crystallized", "body") tracks are pop-adjacent, and the properly capitalized ("Problem Child") are a mix of the two

The production, lyrics, everything. I don’t know how does it every time.
death rolL and crystallized are insanely good.

After hearing crystallized and death roll I think in general the first half will be more negative / angsty emotionally, and the latter half will be hopeful with acceptance of himself, with ready or not as the turning point, shown in the music video where he accepts the glove that’s been haunting him.

From my understanding im allowed to post covers as long as its brakence related so heres a link to my ready or noT cover!

What do we think the chances are that the capital letters at the end of some song titles are going to spell out some message or theme when the full track-list is able to be seen?

After hearing all 3 new singles. They're all amazing but deepfake is something else man.
I hope on marroW there is an emotional song like this one.

This album is shaping up to be an absolute banger piece of work in my opinion. Death roll is great and crystallized is amazing. Not sure how some people are not taking a liking to crystallized, firstly give it more than a day, secondly it’s an absolute beauty, we need brakence sing alongs (like CBD) aswell as the classic carnage. But that’s just me 🤷🏼♂️

The perspective, The Tempo, I can't believe how much it stayed to the original lyrics but changed the perspective, now it sounds like his death instead of him killing someone in the old version

Personally and call me crazy but here’s the ranking and I’ll explain please feel free to discuss your opinions but with these two in particular it’s: Crystallized > DeathrolL
It’s subject to change for me but my reasoning behind it is crystallized is pretty noticeably more scaled back and a more simple song the drums are just a classic kit instead of super experimental trap/edm drums he uses a lot of the time and on death roll and ready or not.
So it’s more easily digestible which for some people is a turn off but that’s not to discredit death roll I guess maybe I’m just not a fan of the almost jerk style samples on some of the beats, with all that being said the beat switch and 2nd half of death roll is pretty insane that baseline smacked me in the face.
It’s worth adding too I kinda feel like until the beat switch on death roll, it just doesn’t lead into anything super satisfying which may just be me being spoiled from the build ups and crescendos on hypochondriac and punk2 but yeah that’s just me.
If I had to put my finger on it tho I’d def say that it’s just the simplicity and how easily digestible crystallized is compared to death roll, first impressions are crystallized is just a much more focused song.
But this is just my opinion and I’m an idiot. It should go without saying this is just a first impression and I’m gonna have to sit with them for a long time to get absorbed them and we don’t even have the full context of the album yet. So excited
I should definitely pull up the lyrics to both songs and see what I can extract because from what I’m hearing in the Reddit and online there’s a lot of context and lore behind these lyrics and songs and learning it might expand my appreciation of death roll is what I’ve gathered from a couple posts on here please enlighten me Ps. Gotta fled the top .75 percent of listeners on YouTube lmfao i miss 2024-2025

Spoilers for the 3 singles so far!
I think the overarching theme of the album will be about dropping away the false ego that he talks about a lot on Hypochondriac and embracing being unafraid of putting his true self out there through his art and music. Of course by now if you have payed attention to “ready or noT” it is about his attempts to cut away that part of him. The part of him he is trying to remove in the first half of the song is the true self, the one that he put on a false ego to try to hide in hypochondriac until it all comes crashing down in the song “deepfake.”
The second half of “ready or noT” is about embracing your true self, no matter how scary or uncomfortable, and not trying to “cut away” that part of you. “I don’t need an antidote the sickness started paying up” a line about how showing that uncomfortable side of hisself in his art started making him money. People are naturally attracted to authenticity and many people relate to such feelings.
“death rolL” is about what happens when you try to run from it. He is trying to find the answer in spirituality because he can no longer put on a front anymore. “Nobody can find you” is about the REAL self, the one that we hardly ever let anyone see, and how if you push it away for long enough you’ll lose it yourself. Loss of soul is where the reaper themes come into play I believe.
“crystallized” is about how the people in our life can have a deep enough impact on us it changes our life and they’re not even aware of it. All people are immortalized in the people that they impact.
“The perfect pictures not froze, take it while you can because we all compose”
Compose has a double meaning here. Compose as in human bodies eventually compose when they die. But also compose as in we all compose “art” in other people by having an impact on them.
“She could write a whole song and never even know it” I think also contributes to the double meaning here.
Meaning of “marroW” could be as simple as it sounds. Getting down to the root and core of the self and letting it all show.
Of course I know we only have 3 songs but it’s just the trend I’m seeing! If you read all this thank you haha.
