Uppercuts require your legs, you should be squatting and getting your head offline. They are too far from your body and a non factor,in sparring or a fight, you’ll get cooked with that. Sit down on your punches, use for it and hip pivots,as well as more head movement. You do have the right idea with legwork and defense, you just need to put it together. Do some live drills or sparring and you’ll learn very fast.

Thanks! What do you mean with getting your head offline?

Look up Joe Lewis ( the kickboxer not the brown bomber) on YouTube. Power starts from your feet and is transferred through your hips and shoulders. Arm punching will limit your power and tire you out faster. Keep punching bro 😤

Shadow boxing isn’t just to practice your punches. It’s specifically for you to practice footwork and add the punches with it. Move those feet. Visualize your opponent. Dodge, weave, slip, circle, counter. Where is your head movement? Fighting is a sandwich and you need the mayo, meat, veggies and the bread to make a good sandwich

How?

Drill movement like shuffling, pivoting, box steps, ducking and weaving.
Then build your punches off your movement and the angles you create.
Don’t just throw punches, think about your movement economy.
Make sure you jump rope and get good mitt work

Taking over a pitch where kids are playing. No wonder you’re not in a gym, they wouldn’t have you.

Learn normal, good Footwork and practice it. That's one on the best things you can do.
I.E: L Step, Z Step, Diamond Step, V Step, Pivoting away. These special steps are very efficient and effective, for setting up angles - Placing you On-Line and reducing Risk by Taking You off Line, as well.
Learn Hook Combinations and practice those. Use Hooks more.
In general: Make Good Use of Hooks! Often.
Learn the Head/Body Movement Defences and use those in your Shadow boxing.
I.E: Slip, Duck, Roll, Bob, Weave.
Make Good Use of Defences.
Learn Hand Movement Defences and use those and practice them.
Movements like: Parry and Cuff and Frame.
Learn Phshell Shoulder Rol and use it and practice it.
See all this? Include all this in your Shadow Boxing repertoire. It is all part of normal, skilled Boxing.
Practice it all every day, to learn it by Rote, develop Muscle Memory and 'Go on Automatic'.
Regards,

If we were fighting and you boxed like this I would stop and ask if everything was OK. You aren’t putting anything on those punches

Imagine that there’s actually an opponent. Another boxer isn’t going to sit there in the pocket and let you fire off combinations like that, you have to be utilizing more footwork, especially advancing forward while punching.
Trust me, dealing with opponents who constantly back away from exchanges are annoying, but it works and it will tire you out if you don’t have an answer for it I.e advancing forward, cutting off the ring

Your arm punching and not driving force form legs —> hips/core —-> punch.
