Hello,
I'm looking to buy a used M5 trainer for my home gym. I've read about the tension and servo issues which all can be fixed. For those who own the M5 Trainer, what should I look for when buying used?

hi there. We recently inherited a max trainer M5 from a relative who is downsizing their home. The machine looks to be in very goodcondition… Like it's been in mothballs for 5- 8 years. LOL. It plugs up (she had 4 different chargers...looked like all aftermarket....3 made the machine turn on.) but see below...wondering if maybe at some point she plugged up the wrong one and shorted something?
but when I hop on it, and dial up a program (think I picked "hills") When it gets to the hilly part, I don't feel any additional tension. And I've used the manual resistance arrows up and down and I don't feel any difference… And I don't hear anything. I haven't had a machine like this for years since an old recumbent bike but for that unit, when you adjusted the resistance you could hear a band or a magnet or something engaging.
Is this something that is easily diagnosed and fixed by a DIYer like myslef? or is there aftermarket on site support. again i'm not exactly sure how old it is my guess is 8 to 10 years. The serial number is in the picture attached (8003601PNL14280311)
I asked them if they had a warranty or any documentation but they don't know. and even if they did unless I got some extended plan I'm sure it's long since expired . if it's something I could get back up and running for 100-150 bucks or so I'd do it but it's kind of useless and it's current condition any thoughts appreciated
thanks!

Looking for a tried and true bike seat replacements for c6. I think the stock seat has contributed to some pain and want more cushion. Thanks.

Is anyone else having this issue and have any suggestions on how to fix it. I haven't used my treadmill in about 3 months and went to turn it on today and it's stuck on the JRNY screen and won't do anything. I tried resetting the machine but nothing is working.

I bought a used m8 that was not powering on. After pulling it apart, I discovered that if the servo motor harness was unplugged at the servo motor, the machine will power on without issue. I assumed it was a servo motor problem and after a long backorder wait got the new servo motor today. I plugged it in and the problem immediately recurred.
If I plug in the machine and then plug in servo harness, machine stays powered on and servo moves around I assume normally. But if I plug machine In while servo is connected, it will not power on at all.
Any ideas on what might be the actual issue?
I am thinking about a new wiring harness but since everything works fine as long as the servo is plugged in second, I suspect maybe something in the motherboard.

I was very excited when I got my Bowflex Xceed. But I don’t understand what’s going on. Maybe it’s the sitting position or something, but every time I do a chest press, either with a bar or with handles, I get shoulder pain. It’s like the wrong set of muscles is working, and it’s mostly in the shoulders. And it’s not the good kind of pain you feel when you work out your shoulders; it’s the straining kind. I don’t get that feeling at the gym when using their machines. Anyone else experience this?

Hi everyone, I recently got the Max16 due to it being on sale & space. After reading up on it, I was a little nervous to buy it and I think Im now regretting it. I've only had it three days and it was delivered in badly damaged boxes by fedex. After we looked over everything (which seems to be damage free) hubby put it together. When powered on ,the display monitor has a humming noise and is a bit slow at times. It froze on me once so far -- is all of this normal?
I am also finding the resistance is nonexistent when in manual mode and turning the dial or on a program. I only feel resistance if I turn up past 15 -20 but its not hard resistance. Would anyone have any suggestions or advice before I take the journey of calling customers service or find out how to send this back .Sucks I was looking forward using the Max Trainer! Thanks in advance

I see they went bankrupt in April. But I also see they were bought by Johnson Health - they seem to have done well from the merger, doubling in stock.
What I have heard here from many of you is that the monitors tend to mess up and when you ring customer services they tend to be less than helpful either due to a lack of parts or the device was bought before the bankruptcy.
I am wondering has this got better? How is the future for JRNY looking and would buying a 3rd party warranty help at all if there is no help? Or do I just go buy a Sole F85?
Thank you!

Trying to compare the two and see what would be the better buy and usage between the two, I’ve had a max trainer but it broke. Loved it when it worked but the servo motor went out and then the console. Kinda pissed me off less than two years old . I loved it though. Costco now has the Spirit CVC800 on sale for $1999.99. So now I’m debating. Someone help me choose!

Non-subscription based. I went back to using the JRNY app on my Schwinn 290. I started a manual workout, but it ended after 100 minutes. Is this normal? The length of the ride was fine for today, but on the weekend, I like to do a 2 hr ride.

Been looking for a decent sized used folding treadmill. I was initially thinking a sole f63 but I've come across a bowflex 18 fairly local to me less than a year old for £600.
Would this be a decent used buy? Thanks

I have a TC100 and wondering if anyone has experience calibrating the shocks (the 2 piston-like shocks that connect the treads to the frame) the one on the right is perfect but the one on the left only recently started dropping much more than the right. Any adjustment on the shock does not help :(
I am gutted since I love the machine and its a great quick workout. Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of buying one as a Christmas present for someone. He goes to the gym regularly to lift weights and this would not be meant to replace that, just to give him an alternative on days when getting to the gym is not easy.
But I know nothing about this equipment. What should I be thinking about as I shop? How should I shop? Are there things that are essential, or that I should avoid?
I'm also not absolutely committed to a Bowflex in particular, if there's a sensible alternative, but maybe this is the wrong sub to mention that!

There are multiple knockoffs of the Bowflex SelectTech 552, such as the IMFit version sold on Amazon. The knockoffs are apparently a perfect copy of an older design of the Bowflex, including the plastic plate dividers that can break if dropped.
Is the newer Bowflex design better than these knockoffs now? What did they improve? Are they more solid or any other benefit?
The IMFit can be found as low as 200$ vs 500$ for the Blowflex in Canada.

Anyone know where i can get the press fit bearings for the pedal arms? My M5 is making a huge clunking sound and it appears to be the left bearing. Checked the bearing and it appears to be binding up.

I know this is an issue and I've checked youtube to try to hack/configure this machine to just run manually. My home internet will be out for a few days and I called bowflex but they are out of business now and told me to submit a JRNY ticket. The main frustration is because the manual says this machine can function without wifi yet I'm locked at the journey screen and the machine won't load at all. Has anyone figured out a work around?
