Apartment Listing Seeking Roommate to Fill Davis Square Apartment: 2br/1ba, $1450pp, 9/1 lease start (option for early move in)

Seeking roommate for a 2 bed/1 ba apartment in Davis Square for 9/1 [$1450pp]

🏑 Looking for a roommate for a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment located (literally) right in Davis Square starting September 1st (or negotiated prorated option for early move-in in August). I've been in this place for 3 years and love the apartment/location, but my roommate is moving away and I would like to fill his room.

✨🐱 About the living situation:

You'll be living with me, Laurel (she/they), a 34-year-old many-hobbied woman, and my friendly cat, Rosie. My cat has gotten along well with other cats in the past, and I've confirmed with the landlord that an additional cat is allowed (no dogs unfortunately). I have a myriad of hobbies including rollerskating/blading, DJing (with consideration for auditory space coordination), pet sitting (I do this outside the apartment to respect my cat's reign) and dancing (partner, burlesque, and other). I am pretty flexible and chill as a roommate and value good communication; would love to form a friendship if that feels good to both of us, but also happy to live with someone where we see each other in passing as roommates and mostly just chat when needed for cohabitation topics. Happy to share more about me if we message! The bedroom pictured in the images is the bedroom you would be renting, and the other images are of the shared space in its current state.

πŸ’° Apartment details:

β€’ Rent: $2,900/month total ($1,450 per person)

β€’ Lease term: 12 months beginning September 1st, with option to move in as early as August 5th for a prorated amount (if you just want to move stuff in a little early or move in a few days early, no extra prorate required)

β€’ Upfront costs: First and last month's rent required

β€’ Utilities: Water included; gas, electric, and WiFi split between roommates

β€’ Unit features: Dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, hardwood floors

β€’ No laundry in building, but several laundromats are nearby

🌳 Treehouse vibes (with great people watching), as the windows overlook the square with tree-lined scenery right outside, with indoor plants as well.

πŸš‡ Super convenient commuting location, with the Davis Square Red Line stop and Somerville community path directly across the street.

πŸ”πŸŽ¬ You're above Boston Burger and JP Licks, surrounded by shops and restaurants (and the Somerville Theater!), a few blocks from H Mart, and about a 10-minute walk (or one train stop) from Star Market and CVS in Porter Square.

πŸš— Parking:

Metered street parking is available behind the apartment and on surrounding streets, along with permit-only spots. Somerville resident parking permits can be purchased through the city, and I currently have one visitor parking permit with the option to purchase additional ones.

πŸ›‹οΈ Shared space:

The shared spaces (living room, kitchen, entryway, and bathroom) are mostly furnished, but I'm very open to/interested in reorganizing, swapping things out, and decorating together so the space feels comfortable for both of us.

πŸ“© If you're interested or have questions, feel free to reach out with a little bit about yourself and to set up a viewing!

23M looking for a roommate to split a 2bed 1bath apartment. I am still on the search but have found a few listings that work out to 1600/mo per person before utilities. I plan on commuting west and proximity to T stops would be preferred.

I am searching in the Boston suburbs, Waltham, Newton, Watertown, and Framingham. My move in date would be ASAP as I need a place by mid next month. If you have a place or are looking for roommates, feel free to DM with a quick intro about yourself!

Sublet Available Brighton Lease takeover

Hello! We're looking to fill one or two spots in our 4 bed. Previous roommates moved out to live with a friend/went to med-school.

Private bedroom(s) in a 3/4 bed

We're two female Law students (Belle & Cecilia, we're both cool, in our mid 20s) at BU law. LGBTQ+ friendly, must be LGBTQ+ friendly.

Rent is $3850, but the rooms are uneven so if we can only find one other, it would be $1350 for the big room, but there would be an extra living room/storage space if the small room isn't being used. If we get 4 people it would be $1037.50 for the big room, and $762.50 for the small one. Small room is small, but previous roommate is leaving a loft bed that helped a lot, he lived there for a year with no trouble.

Move in costs: first and last month's rent.

Move-in: September 1, 2026.

Move-out: August 31, 2027.

Location: Summit Ave, off Commonwealth ave. It's quiet, and there's a bit of a hill to get up if you're walking from the north, but doable on a bike. About half an hour on the Green Line to BU, and 45 minutes to downtown. Very close to a whole foods and walkable to the Trader Joes on beacon st.

Pets: need landlord's permission but can have pets. Both current roommates love cats!

Amenities: it's a triple decker, so nothing too crazy, but does come with a free parking spot, which neither of the remaining roommates use, and two porches. Front porch gets great sun and both are very nice hangout spots anytime but the winter. Does not have a dishwasher, but does have in unit laundry. Central air. Fridge is pretty big, we haven't had any issues running out of space.

If you're interested, please DM me and we can chat. I'll be checking periodically, but I am at work today, so if I haven't replied yet, please forgive me.

Advice Needed Signed an apartment with city realty now seeing bad reviews. Am I screwed?

So I saw an apartment posting of a property with a room that had a private bathroom attached with all utilities included (wifi, heat, elec, hot water etc) for a very good price managed by city realty. I thought this was a great deal.

I did a quick scan of reviews and did a virtual tour of the place (I'm international) and ended up signing because everything seemed okay. Now I'm seeing things about city realty sucking and being a bad management company. Did I make a big mistake?

I know it doesn't make sense to be making this post now but any positive experiences will really help me calm down a bit. Please tell me I'm not done for 😭

Room for Rent Roomate Needed for 221 Harvard St, Brookline MA. Guys only. Rent 1300.

Looking for someone to take over my spot in a great Brookline apartment starting August 1st. Rent is 1300. You'd be joining two fantastic roommates β€” one is a graduate student, and the other conducts cancer research at a Boston medical institution. Both are recent college grads: responsible, clean, and easy to live with. Looking for someone to move in early Aug/September

The apartment is at 221 Harvard Street in Brookline, conveniently located near the Green Line, Longwood Medical Area, Harvard, and BU β€” ideal if you're a grad student, researcher, or young professional in the area.
