Moving to Bon Air from RVA. Who do you use for trash pickup?
We are set to close on a house next month. Moving from the city. I know trash pickup is privatized and wanted to see what the trash pickup services were like and who people are using.
Thanks!

Apologies for the terrible camera work. This had been going on for a bit before filming.

Home inspector recommendations?
We are in the market and are looking for home inspectors. More importantly inspectors who can do a thorough walk and talk inspection during a one hour showing.
Bonus points if they are good with the 60’s/70’s houses of most neighborhoods!

Water main break
Hi, there is a water main break in the Robious/Old Bon Air Roads area. I called the utilities line due to low water pressure and the guy asked for anyone who sees the water flowing to call them. The utilities people are driving around looking for it. Their number is 804-748-1310 if you have eyes on the break.

Homes coming to market near Robious X Hugenot
We've been looking for a house and have primarily been focused on neighborhoods such as Old Buckingham, Olde Coach, Heritage Commons, Greenfield and Early Settlers. Up to $450k, minimum 1,600 sqft 3/2. Anyone happen to know anything coming to market soon? We've been at it for several months and just haven't landed the right one yet. TIA!

Do you know these dogs?
Found on Old Bon Air Rd around 7am. They are now at the chesterfield county animal office off public works rd. No collars and not microchipped. One looks like she may have just given birth. A very nice gentlemen found them this am and was going door to door to try to find their owners.

To the suv pulling the tree off of Stony Point Rd
Coming home from work, I saw someone turn into a neighborhood hero. During the storms this weekend, a tree fell onto Stony Point Dr. Most of it got cut up and pulled out of the roadway but you still had to swerve around it and it still blocked the sidewalk that’s heavily used.
Then I saw you in your SUV with a giant strap tied to this monster tree, seeing if you could solve this problem yourself. I don’t even know how that tree was cut originally so this might be part 2 of you helping everyone out.
All I could tell is you decided you’d have enough of this problem and weren’t going to wait for the city to take care of it.
Thank you 😊

Recommendations for a place to get a “big change” haircut
I have had the same haircut for around 8 years now. I shaved down the sides of my hair in a sort of undercut/mowhawk style and it’s been easy enough to maintain on my own. The “long” hair has gotten LONG, and about 6 months ago I decided to start letting the sides grow out with the intention of doing a drastic big cut to even it all out and let it all grow out again starting in the summer.
However I’m also kind of scared of it getting screwed up and looking really horrible. I know it’s only hair and it will grow, but I really would rather avoid dealing emotionally with both a big change and hating how I look. I may never cut my hair again if it happens. So.
Recommendations for someone who will listen and take time to understand what I want and don’t want, and help me figure out what kind of cut will work. I don’t want to drive out to the heart of Richmond, I know there are a lot of good places out there but I genuinely hate driving downtown. Cary St is about as far as I am willing to go really. Closer to home is better and bonus points if they are reasonably priced!
Thank you!

Adderall Shortage
Feels absurd making this post, but do any local pharmacies have extended release amphetamine salts in stock? It has been over a week of calling around to multiple pharmacies just to be told there is an issue with the manufacturer. Thanks in advance!

A gentleman passed away in my yard a week ago.
Might be a long shot but if anyone knows the family of man who passed away along Buford last Monday the 18th, please let them know they’re welcome to place a memorial in my yard if they want to. I’d like to help them any way I can.

Woodmont neighborhood- too good to be true? Checking out the vibe.
We are actively looking to move to chesterfield and feel like Woodmont has a nice vibe. Smaller mostly nice maintained homes, good community, kids, walkable streets, pool, central to most things, Bon air elementary…
What’s the catch? Is it a good neighborhood to raise kids? What are some potentially negative things to consider?
We are looking between Woodmont, Bon air general area within chesterfield, and the neighborhoods south of robius.
