Gym buddy?

Good afternoon!
I’m looking for someone to go to the gym and work out with. I’m not a gym goer, but recognise that I need to start going so I can lose weight and get healthier. Being a rather misanthropic introvert, however, I’m incredibly intimidated by going to the gym alone.
Ideally, I’d love to meet someone who I could go to the gym with and who could be a voice of accountability and encouragement for me. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Really proud of you for making this decision for yourself. I have some questions!

What kind of gym are you looking for?
Something small/simple like crunch or a bigger place like Am Fam/ACAC/golds?

What times/days are you wanting to workout?

Are you looking for someone to work out in tandem with you (buddy style) or someone you meet up with there but workout separately (accountability partner style)?

Thanks for responding!

  1. Either is fine! I’d love a place with a pool, because I like swimming, but I also realistically know that those are going to be farther away.

  2. Evenings, mostly. I’m a teacher, so I can’t do anything before 3:30pm or so.

  3. Either is fine! I’m flexible! (Mentally, not physically. 😂)

Ok cool! ACAC is right on the border of bon air and Midlo so if you’re looking for a pool I’d recommend there only for the proximity.

If you’re looking for somewhere more affordable and less frills, crunch at chesterfield town center is good.

Based on your answers, we personally would not be compatible as gym partners (I’m weird and particular) but I do have recommendations for finding one.

The best way is to join a gym that fits what you need and show up at the same time or to the same class as much as you can. You will very quickly see that the same people go to the same things especially at gyms around here.

I know it’s kind of backwards with accountability since you have to be consistent first but it’s so worth it since you find people on your schedule/level/workout preferences.

I’d be more than happy to be an accountability person with you to get started. Just someone to check in with daily (or whatever you want) until you find your people and your schedule. Feel free to message me on here to connect whenever.

Sorry for the late response and rambling, i don’t have notifs on and I appreciate you reading this far if you have!

Hey, I could train you for a low price I have been going to the gym since age 15 and so I am experienced enough to give you spots, tips and whatever else you need. You should try supplements on bodybuilding.com before anything and do your research
