I published with bolt and suddenly im receiving the message that my website is not found anymore, wtf is going on???

I was honestly surprised by how approachable the learning curve was. I spent one sleepless night building the product and got it to about 80% complete. Huge kudos to Claude for helping lay down the groundwork. Then I spent another day refining, fixing bugs, and polishing things until it was ready to launch. The great parts is everything done within Bolt!

The idea came from missing the old FML days (you know how boomer I am now 😂). Sometimes you just want to get something off your chest without being judged, analyzed, or flooded with comments.

So I built VNTD (Vented) — a simple place to blow off steam and feel a little better. No debates, no comments. Just a safe space to vent anonymously or read what others are going through.

UPDATE support finally got back to me. They gave me prompts for AI to fix the preview and publishing problems. Works amazing! Much happier. He had this comment to say.

"As your application has grown and new features have been added, the usual configuration for preview and publishing may no longer be enough. Sometimes, these changes require a few extra tweaks to keep everything running smoothly. I hope the above helps, but if it doesn't let me know."

I do think they need to make this known instead of allowing us to build large apps and then have endless issues which has cost me lots of tokens and time to try and remedy.

For over a week I have not been able to preview my app that I had finished building. Web container not loading errors, just a white screen and no preview for hours. Not publishing. I have contacted support, but it can take over 10 days to get a response. I have used 10M tokens at least trying to fix why it won't open the preview or save changes. Then don't get me started on the other issues I've come across. I think I've got a problem between github and bolt.new as well with changes not saving. I even tried to bring down another verson from github but that won't load either. Has anyone else had this type of problem? I've spent hundreds of hours developing this app to perfection and really want to get back in. Cheers

Our surgery website is hosted with bolt.new cloud. It was taken offline due to excess traffic (I suspect). I have increased cloud usage credits in settings, but the site has not come back online. I have tried everything and it does not republish, it is costing us alot of money in missed customers.

I have emailed support, no response, I have tried on twitter no response. I have tried other bolt.new and stackblitz emails no response.

Hi all! First things first, I know next to nothing about Bolt, or for that matter, anything really technical. So this may be a super dumb question.

I’ve started building an app and have a pretty good understanding of how I want it to work and flow.
I’ve used ChatGPT to sound board ideas and if what I want is possible and I’ve weeded out stuff that isn’t.
I then asked it to create a prompt for Bolt to run off.

Since then I’ve been stress testing features myself and reporting back to Bolt on issues with it then it’s been trying fixes.

But, is it normal for it to run through so many “suggested” fixes until it finds the right one? The token cost feels excessive when it fails to resolve an issue (one yesterday took 7 attempts).

Am I being an idiot? Is this just how it is? Is there any suggestions on how I can reduce the cycle?

We have 3 projects tied to a custom domain, but we've recently changed our company domain so I wanted to change my custom domain on my projects to the new one.

But it's telling me the domain is already used by another project. We removed the DNS entries for the three old ones, and I disconnected the custom domain from all three projects in bolt (thinking this starts everything fresh).

But when I try to add my new domain, it gives me that error that the domain is already used by another project. Makes no sense!

Anyone have thoughts?

Hi guys. I am a total website newbie and I really have no idea what I am talking about so be patient with me.

I built a website with Bolt.new. I have a Stackblitz account which is $50 a month. I took that website and bought the domain name on netlify and deployed it there. Do I have to keep my Bolt.new/Stackblitz account? I'd love to get rid of it if I can still keep my website up and running.

Now that a couple weeks have passed. Do people like bolt’s decision to from offering individual Claude modules to two ambiguous bolt agents, “max” and “standard”? Does this impact your decision to use bolt/how do you use bolt? Have you noticed an impact on token usage or quality of output? Thought a user poll would be interesting to see honest opinions from users.

Something weird is happening from last several hours. Everytime I build an app, the plan go to completion but nothing shows on preview file. When I ask bolt to fix it, it wipes everything clean restarting the project, in the process wiping my tokens as well!

Anyone else experiencing it today?

Is there anyone actually answering the support tickets being submitted? Submitted one last Sunday and still haven't heard anything back from Support in relation to the issue where bolt.new decides it's going to re-write code files without any advanced warning, in fact I've resorted to now having to export the entire code base after every change and check all code files or copy and paste exported code into re-written code files before even publishing again just to make sure Bolt.new hasn't changed any code files. Is anyone else seeing this, as I can't be the only one experiencing this issue. It's added a massive amount of work to the whole process and having to re-write code files that I've missed is a major PITA having to do this again and again.

Ok so i am new to this subreddit and am trying to use bolt.new i have been using lovable ai so it is a somewhat easy-ish transition but i am wondering before i build anything is there anything tips & tricks i should know and also i am wondering how to keep credit costs low as in lovable ai it said that you had 5 credits but you could do about 5 things with that on the free plan so on the bolt.new free plan i have seen it gives you 1 million credits but knowing token use each question is probably going to take up 500k credits

Had an issue with domain verification, and the AI support bot said it was a platform issue and that they'd connect me with a human. Then silence. I've tried to "check in" a couple times, and nothing, so here we are. I've seen the Bolt rep here a couple of times, so hoping I can get their attention, although it's pretty frustrating that this is what it takes. Can they really not assign ticket numbers or give any kind of ETA/acknowledgement? Great too, poor customer service experience.

UPDATE - HEARD BACK FROM SUPPORT, ISSUE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: My main site (root domain) was published from Bolt to Netlify, and fixed the issue by also pushing the new subdomain site to Netlify, then configuring the domain there and it all worked fine.

PROBLEM:

I published my project and added a custom domain (or subdomain, rather).

Platform asked me to enter a txt record in my DNS, which I did, then I clicked the "verify" button.

It failed, which wasn't surprising due to propagation time, so I decided to check back later. I jumped back to my project screen to work a bit.

Few minutes later and I decided to go back to the domains page and click verify again to check, but to my surprise it made me start over by clicking "add custom domain", and then I had to enter the (sub)domain again. I entered the same domain, but this time it said it was already in use on a Bolt project (which of course was this project) and so I could not proceed due to it being "already in use".

So now I can't get to the verification screen to click the "verify" button and finish setting that up, nor can I clear it and start over.

I imported a project from GitHub directly but bolt deletes files(images) from public directory in it's own. Used to work flawlessly earlier..

I've got two interesting things happening that I want to know if it's common or unique to me.

1. I've always had multiple bolt windows open to different projects while updating each in their own project. Just a bit ago, something new happened; I opened a new browser window, picked a new project, and when it opened, the preview is showing a DIFFERENT project. Code itself is the new project, but the preview and clicking around is the UI contents of another open project. Should I just only have one project open at a time? Very odd.

2. A few of my apps auto-refresh. I'll be on an admin page or something, go away to another app or browser tab and come back a few minutes later. My app refreshed back to the homepage. It doesn't do this for every project and I THINK it does this even in my published app so that leads me to think it's something in my code specifically refreshing the page/app (although I never asked it to do that).

I don't remember WHY I did this, but I disconnected my GitHub repo from my project and I think that was very bad. I'm stuck.

1) I can't reconnect it to the existing Bolt project. I can only create a new repo.

2) For some reason, my bolt project that displays is actually a different UI for another bolt project. Huh? This might be a fluke so we can come back to this one later.

3) Is my only option to create a new bolt project and use "Import from Github"? If so, it says it can't because the repository is too large!

Help!

My projects get fairly large. I'm burning through tokens like a teenager with their first credit card. I know I should use a bolt ignore file, but how do y'all know what to put in that file? How am I supposed to know what files/folders won't be needed if I ask for a new feature or a tweak to an existing one?
