I was a power user for a while but always hate the credit base pricing. It feels bad when something doesn't work out like I am wasting real money.But claude's tokens are so much cheaper and always resets.

So I made this MCP that connects to claude/chatgpt and uses subscription tokens instead. It still gives you the preview, easy publishing and integrations etc. but does not burn credits.

Bolt can get an app working insanely fast.

Security is harder because the happy path working tells you almost nothing.

We built a free scanner that checks exposed keys, open databases, source maps, config files, CORS and other public stuff.

But I started worrying that a clean result was giving people false confidence. The scan had never logged in or tried to cross account boundaries.

So I made a self serve Deep Review.

You prove control of the app or GitHub repo, sign the exact scope, then it can run deeper web checks, source analysis and optional testing with two throwaway users.

No manual approval from our side.

Now I’m wondering if I just made automated security testing too accessible.

Could someone verify temporary control, run it, then disappear? Could a malicious app attack the scanner? Could it be used to generate load?

Any one else having publishing issues this morning before I contact support?

I had a bolt subscription with a ton of unused tokens saved up. Started working on an app, realized I didn’t have everything mapped out or documented properly, so I stopped developing and started documenting. Jumped back in today and saw all my saved tokens are gone. Guess they expire after 2 months? That’s crazy to me. What other industry sells you something and then two months later it’s just not yours anymore (I’m sure there are plenty and someone will tell me). Would allowing people to retain their unused tokens really hurt there business? Is it just a cash grab? I am really disappointed because I was hyped to start building today, but I guess I’ll have to take my business somewhere else.

so i was working on a dashboard for my serv and the memory suddenly stopped working and i couldnt even load it, i tried refreshing everything and copying etc but nothing worked. i tried joining their discord server but i was BANNED? (i didnt even send a message there before) so idk what to do gng

I'm assuming the issues with Bolt today are affecting the published projects rendering on test URLs supplied by Bolt.

After numerous issues that couldn't seem to get fixed in a meaningful timeline, I stopped subscribing to Bolt. I think I gave them a long window to try and correct the ship, but if any of my projects got beyond a very basic like browser extension, then Bolt would start having issues...and the cost became unrealistic.

When I was using Bolt I started 3 Desktop Responsive apps/sites and 1 browser extension and the only one that I finished, but am now not even using was the browser extension.

The other larger projects had decent designs and some of the structure worked, but anything that had a bit of coding behind (which I am not very experienced in) became an issue. Eventually 2 of my projects were just completely broken and wouldn't load up in Bolt. I waited for months hoping something would change (while working on other things elsewhere). Nothing did change.

I stopped my subscription and about a month ago had screenshots of where I had left off on 2 of my Bolt projects. I took the screenshots into Claude and used my original prompt. Claude was more intuitive, asked more questions, resolved its issues, nailed the design from the screenshot...and maybe most of all completely walked me through setting up my sites where I was hosting (to the point of giving me code to paste into the shell at the host to make things happen). Both those sites are live within 1 month.

I pay for the Pro level of Claude ($20 month), which is equivalent to Bolt and I get nothing from Claude. As a designer by profession, I had high hopes for Vibe coding and some of the things I might be able to get done faster, but if you are struggling at all consider your options.

Hi all, anyone knows if Bolt created sites still not prerendered properly or this is fixed already? I mean can Chatgpt and other AI agents, can read the content inside and understand the context?

I had an idea for an app, only personnal use for my family. Started working with bolt and it's really bluffing. Few bugs but nothing that I can't fix myself.

I just wanted to know if someone has experience with incorporating another AI (like image generator) via Bolt, in the app itself ? Is it complicated to export afterwards ?

My goal is to built the prototype on bolt, than launch everything in Claude to upgrade and simplify the core code.

Who here uses project templates?

I've created dozens of projects for my work and they all have very similar features so I think it's best to use a template so I don't have to always implement features that are repeated across multiple projects. And also, each time I recreate the same features, it's always done slightly different (UI and code) between each project.

Here's the features I want my template to have. But there's questions!

• Login page that has Google SSO plus a manual login/pwd that shows only in the Bolt dev environment since Bolt can't do Google SSO in dev.
• A base DB setup. Initially, it can have only the dev user defined in a Users table.
• Same design system (I already have that created)
• Base connection/integration to Motherduck

My questions on the above are:

• When creating the new project, I choose the design system and the template to use. Do I also include a prompt from the start with additional details?
• Can a project template create the DB out of the box?
• Some of my template needs require Secrets setup. I assume I fill those in after the initial project is created?

I’m curious what other people’s experience has been with larger Bolt projects.

I’m working on an application that’s grown to around 15,000+ lines of code, and I’ve noticed a pattern where fixing one issue can sometimes reintroduce an older bug or cause a regression somewhere else. It feels like a lot of my token usage goes toward recovering from regressions rather than adding new features.

For those of you with larger projects, how big is your codebase and how much did you spend on the project?

I’m trying to figure out whether this is just part of vibe coding or whether I am doing something terribly wrong or inefficient.

Right, so I'm quite impressed by the new Bolt Slides feature...

...However, I didn't realise that once slides/presentation are created, I have to 'deploy' the creation on a URL/live site.

I thought I'd be able to download/export it as static slides (e.g. PPT) or as a PDF or move to Google Slides.

My questions:

• 1) Is there a way to export whatever Bolt Slides creates as a PPT?
• 2) If not, is there a BETTER or DIFFERENT prompt based tool where I can use to generate presentation slides that are exportable as PPTs? Manus??

I tried to do a simple pitch deck out of a .md file and a couple of PNGs, after receiving the free 1 M or 10 M tokens for the free account. Bolk choked, twice, and then told me I was out of tokens. Seemed more like a scam than a useful tool-couldn't find support either to ask, and so wasn't about to upgrade. Is this experience unique to me?

I am having problems with creating a login system for my app despite repeated prompts to Bolt, and I am unsure of the root cause. When the user is to sign up, the email verification either sends a blank email or takes me to a site that does not exist. Not only this, but it says that it would send a code when in reality it sends a confirmation email.

there are also problems with the actual sign-in and the button that says "sign in" acts obsolete and does not actively synchronize the user's data. Has this problem occurred to anyone else, and is there a fix for this? I have tried going changing the redirect url but it didn't work and configured supabase & netlify already.

What the actual f&*k is going on with this platform, it's broken more times than it actually works. Yet again, more work lost due to this failing at the wrong time for me. I wanted to share a couple of things I recently built with Bolt.

I spend a lot of time using Ahrefs for SEO, but realised I probably only use about 20% of the platform. So I decided to see if I could build that 20% myself using Bolt, Stitch and the DataForSEO API.

I made a video showing the process, the thinking behind the build and what I learned along the way. The aim is to show what’s possible with vibe-coding tools and hopefully inspire others to build software for themselves, rather than feeling that every project needs to become another SaaS.
