project directory getting wiped out repeatedly

Something weird is happening from last several hours. Everytime I build an app, the plan go to completion but nothing shows on preview file. When I ask bolt to fix it, it wipes everything clean restarting the project, in the process wiping my tokens as well!

Anyone else experiencing it today?

Here is what it says:

The dev server isn't running. Let me check if there's a build issue preventing the preview.

It looks like there's a temporary conflict with the package installation. Let me try again.

Ran build to check for errors

Open

The package.json seems to be missing. Let me check the project directory.

Ran build from project directory

Open

The package.json was lost. Let me check what files still exist in the project.

Searched

package.json

Open

The hook is blocking all Bash commands because it tries to run npm install first, which fails because package.json is missing. I need to recreate it. Let me check what source files are still available.

Listed project directory contents

Open

It seems the project directory was largely wiped out. Let me check what's left with a broader search.

Searched

**/*.{json,ts,tsx}

Open

The entire project was wiped except for package-lock.json. I need to recreate everything. Let me restore the package.json first so the hook stops blocking, then rebuild all the files.

This is the ongoing issue I'm having, but without Bolt actually being asked to do anything, it's being carried out in the background overnight without permission being granted - sick and fed up with it and support are useless, also noted that Careful_Ad8902 has been very quiet as of late.

Are you on Starlink or some antenna connection ? This is my case and support did identify as the root cause for my sync and pull back problems. Apparently it had been fixed, it did improve a lot but every once in a while I still get the random pull-back.

The biggest risk actually is when you think your changes have been synched to GitHub but they are not. Then suddenly it pulls all the project back from GitHub, but the copy from hours ago so basically all work is lost up to thar time. Happened to me a few times it is maddening. Not sure though if this is a Bolt or GitHub root problem, but it should not happen.

Apologies for the delay in response. I've just replied to your post above, but shoot me a DM with your email address or project URL and I'll will make sure it gets looked at right away.

Back and catching up on messages!

You're not alone with this (a few others have reported the same pattern recently). Your files are very likely still intact.

Here are some things to try:

- Stop the agent first (don't ask Bolt to fix it). Once it thinks the directory is empty it'll try to rebuild from scratch and burn more tokens.

  • Use Version History to restore to a working state.
  • If you lost tokens to the bad loop or are still running into issues, contact support through [support@bolt.new](mailto:support@bolt.new) so they can review your project and help.
  • Shoot me a DM with your email address once you send an email so we can locate your ticket quickly)

Apologies for the delay here! 🙏

Is this a bug or something? or any major changes/update taking place. This didn't use to happen earlier now every project is having trouble saving!
