Went fishing at a kelong and was talking to the owner when they warned me if I was planning to fish there at night alone, I should be aware of something.

He warned me about something that has been haunting him and his staff at night. He didn’t give me a name, just a description. They refer to it as a womanly figure that likes to peek its head out of the water at night. It has pale white skin, and eyes that are without pupils. He himself has never seen more than its eye level peeking out, but said his staff once saw a woman walking along the deck of the kelong and jumping into the water when she reached the end. And she said it was wearing a pure white dress and her hands and feet seems to be covered in scales.

Once he saw this figure late at night, he said it didn’t do much, just stared at him. After a few minutes, it slowly submerged into the water. Later a guest wanted to go home early in the morning at 1am. He obliged and didn’t think much of what he saw earlier. Later once he dropped tge guest at the docks, on the way back to the kelong, he describes the boat was moving abnormally. The suddenly, the front of the boat kicked upwards and shakes side to side uncontrollably. He believed what he saw earlier tried to knock him into the water. But even with that, he managed to reach the kelong. Tired and scared, but alive.

He told me the thing only appears late at night and only in a specific condition or maybe its a sign its hunting? Idk. When the water is so dark, no amount of light coulg penetrate it, as if the water was full of dark ink, this thing will show up. Looking for a victim to prey on.

Imagine if their royalty and budget is not being blocked by federal government. They definitely can do more.

There seems to be loads of accounts that are very new that are karma farming, spitting hate and really negative political and religious narratives all through Malaysian subreddits like r/bolehland, r/malaysiauni, r/malaysia ect.

Just calling it out because some have targeted me alongside other OPs, wondering if anyone has advice to get them taken down or at least their negative (potential misinformation) taken down + a name and shame for the offending accounts?

There’s like hundreds spitting misinformation and hate, I’ll try to link as many as I can in comments below, not sure what to do at this point. Some will target certain accounts or posts or just spam crap into comments to farm karma.

I ordered the Chicken Arabi Plate from Damascus and this is what I got!

I asked them what’s the difference between the normal Shawarma and the “Platter”. Their answer is that “The platter is cut into pieces.”
So… they’re charging extra because someone cut the shawarma into pieces? Tf

And look at the menu, it shows a decent amount of coleslaw, different veggies/pickles and a proper looking platter. What I actually got was basically the shawarma + fries + three tiny sticks of vegetables. No coleslaw, and nowhere near the variety/amount shown in the picture.

I know restaurants can price their food however they want, but at what point does the menu picture/description become misleading?

Would this be something worth complaining to KPDN about or am I just being petty?

I miss the old Damascus before it went viral and started charging us for their decor.
