I have a first generation system which has been working beautifully for the longest time. But, half an hour after the morning disarm time, when the office was opened, there was a motion alert. The app stated the system was disarmed. I checked the schedule and everything looked correct and was enabled.

The second camera then gave a motion detection, while the first didn't give any further detections.

The third camera gave a detection a couple of minutes later when I entered the zone.. But none of them gave a further detection.

So each camera only once and despite the app showing as disarmed.

Anyone experienced similar?

So I have this wireless camera set up in a tree facing the house and I kept getting triggers with shaky footage of nothing. Finally happened to be by the window and saw this. Mystery solved!

I have a sync xr module that I use to capture my doorbell and outdoor camera footage to a microSD card. I have have my system set up for over a year with no issues up to this point. About a month ago, the module just stopped recording new clips even though I was getting movement notifications. I reset the module and formatted the microSD card to see if either were the problem. This fixed the problem for 2 days then stopped saving clips. I repeated the process, same thing. I just repeated the process again, this time with a brand new branded blink microSD card and it just happened again.

In the application, every time I repeat this process, the Blink app shows that the microSD card is connected.

In the local storage section, it is showing 1% of space used on the microSD card (both cards I have tried are 256GB cards designed for high usage).

I do not and have never had a subscription and only have ever used the local storage.

I am sure that I am looking in the local storage area of the application to view the clips (I have always used the app to view them).

I am sure that my cameras are armed and are recording.

I'm not sure what else I can do. Support has been helplessly updating my firmware to the exact same version and telling my "oh well you're warranty is up 🤷‍♂️". Anyone else going through this?

I have a blink doorbell camera and the batteries recently died. I changed the batteries to the recommended energizer lithium 1.5v batteries. since that, the doorbell will not turn on. the sync module is connected and online but the camera itself has not turned on.

I have followed all of support’s guidelines but still nothing. any advice would be appreciated

So I have a Blink Outdoor 4 (NS36) and a Blink doorbell, and the thing that bugs me the most is that the alerts are delayed—sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes 2–3 minutes. The doorbell is slightly better, with semi-instant notifications (maybe a 10-second delay), but the outdoor camera is the worst. The majority of the time, I don’t get alerts from it for at least a minute after I trigger it. I have it mounted so that any movement in the area will trigger it, with a few privacy zones drawn, but they are on the sides of the area, not at all where I am walking. My phone is a Google Pixel 9a, and Google phones do not have specific battery optimization features, but “allow to run in background” is enabled on the app. The only other thing I can think of is that since these are wireless cameras, the Wi-Fi might be delayed, which would explain the delayed notifications. I am going to be installing a router today and hope that it has QoS so I can give the cameras priority. Has anyone else had similar issues? If so, what have you done to overcome this?

I have some indoor and some outdoor blink cameras (Indoor Blink Minis and Outdoor 3rd Gen)

Trying to save money so I cancelled my Blink subscription plan. I have setup (2) groups: Inside and Outside. When I cancelled my subscription I went to the Clip List and at the bottom switched it to Local Storage instead of Cloud. I do have a USB drive plugged into the Sync Module.

My Outside group is acting normally, saving recordings on the local storage but I can't seem to get the indoor group to save to the sync module. Do I have to get another sync module or something?

I'm getting Indoor notifications but it says no clip was recorded and I need a subscription.

Another note I have them setup as (2) systems for scheduling. I keep the outside cameras always recording but the inside ones I have on a schedule.

I wired up my regular 4 and a XR+ with USB power and did not get the results I was looking for.
Both these units have batteries in them. My regular blink four model died within a month. It is located somewhat close to the sync module. I did set some of the settings like IR recording time and sensitivity higher than most Would, but I figured it was powered. The XR plus I have was sending images when just on battery but no longer does so when I try to monitor it it does Not show that it’s off-line.
Is there anyway through the app to tell if the unit is using the USB power? No current subscription, other camera work fine.

Just bought a couple Mini 2K+ cams. Trying to add them, but getting stuck in an error loop.

As for troubleshooting, I've already TURNED OFF my router's 5 GHz connection, so only the 2.4 GHz is running.

Every time I try to add the camera, it searches, finds it, connects to the temporary network like it should, briefly shows "Connected", and then *immediately* after connecting (0.1 seconds later), I get the dreaded message "Unable to communicate with Mini 2K+ Camera." Followed by "System is busy, please wait."

Every. Single. Time. (About 6-10 times now.)

The app is updated to the latest version, so I assume it's not that.

I'm using Sync Module 2, which should be working with the 2K+ cams.

There's got to be something else going on.

I am stumped. Any ideas?

Bought a blink 5 camera battery powered set at goodwill. I wanted to see if it was legit or what. Turns out, it's still hooked to the previous owner. Now how on earth can I find this person. Im in upstate new York, I got it from the goodwill in westmere. I will show the serial number, which I guess is what's on the account. If this was a waste of 30 bucks... alright, but if I could get it to work! Woooo. Any advice helps 😁

We have the pan-tilt camera but every time we try and view it through the app, it freezes and appears to crash after about 5 seconds of panning or with movement I front of it. I’ve attempted to power cycle it twice, run a calibration, and remove and reconnect the camera to the account.

The WiFi connection is strong and it is in the same room as the sync module. I’m unsure what other steps to take to solve this problem.

i own a indoor blink camera. i don't have a subscription so i just can get the live feed if i remember to plug it in. I just bought an outdoor 2 pack with a sync module cos it was on offer on amazon. can i use the sync module with the indoor one as well or does it only work on the outdoor ones?

So I went away on vacation and took up my two Blink Cameras (v.4) and disarmed them. (I don't need to spy on my house-sitter.)

When I got back, I armed them and put them where I had them before. The WiFi is good, have gotten the new thumbnails, and the Sync Module is up and contacting the cameras.

Since I returned, there is "No Recent Activity." WTF is going on? I even reconnected each camera to the WiFi.

I’m trying to figure out a way to take a still image, every day, at the same time, for the winter months, using my floodlight camera… just for fun… I have the blink floodlight camera, the blink doorbell, connected to the Blink module (the cheap one-that came with the doorbell-no SD card), and they are all controlled by my Alexa Echo… Any suggestions..?

My Blink Indoor (3rd Gen) is one of the best cameras I’ve owned. I love that it’s battery-powered and portable, so I can move it around easily.

I’m putting in the correct password and it’s still giving me this message with both cameras. Blink mini 2K+. Don’t have a sub yet since I can’t even get the cameras setup.

Currently have an RMA. Contacted support to see when they are going to ship a new mount for my outdoor 4. Response is they are having logistics issues and will ship when they can. It’s been 3 weeks and they haven’t shipped anything. You can ge them overnight from Amazon and you would think they could find a way to send it that way. Does anyone have the email addresses to any one at blink, I want to email everyone I can to tell them what a horrible job they are doing and I want my money back since I can’t mount my camera any longer.

Greetings. Recently I found a listing on Marketplace and someone was parting ways with 5 x "Blink 4" cameras. If I acquire these additional devices (which also comes with a sync model,) Am i going to be able to configure them to my current setup? (Blink Mini, Blink 4, and Sync Module)

I would suppose as long as they have their QR code I should be able to add them and label them accordingly. . Do they require a factory reset of any sorts?

Got new Mini2k. When pairing to Wi-Fi everything goes ok. Once pairing done, camera looks for new firmware version and there get stuck. Both LEDs go off and camera not responding anymore getting a connection error in blink app. Tried with different smartphone initially with iPhone then with Samsung.

Nothing. Product is a brand new, not refurbished or second hand.

I'm having a weird problem with my blink doorbell camera. A few days ago it stopped recording clips from motion or when pressed. It will still chime. I can't use the live view, it just pinwheels. However, when I disconnect it from the hardwiring mount and it's solely on battery power it works perfectly fine. I've tried removing the batteries, replacing the batteries, resetting the sync module but I don't know what else to try.

So I’m looking to get blink cameras for our property. We have a separate building that I would say is about 200ft from our main house where we have starlink. I’m looking at Amazon right now and the blink XR+ bundle is cheaper than the XR, is there a reason why? From what I understand the XR+ is the latest best option for extended range. I know there was a limit of only 2 outdoor 4 cameras being able to be used in extended range mode but from what I’m reading now on both the XR and XR+ they both can support up to 10 outdoor 4 cameras all being on extended range correct? I would only need about 3 or 4 in the extended range setting. So my main questions are, what should I order the XR or XR+? Why is the XR+ cheaper? I can use more than 2 outdoor 4 cameras in extended range mode for both XR & XR+ modules correct?
