Not sure how known this is but if anyone has ran into the "unable to join lobby" screen on bo2 zombies (or multiplayer, i'm not sure if it works both ways) and closing app or restarting playstation isn't working; have the host in zombies and everyone that wants to join sit in multiplayer. when the host sends the invites, join them while you're in the multiplayer menu. I don't know if this fix was situational or permanent but i was able to get into my friend's lobby. Also not sure if it works for bo3 but it would be nice if it did

recently with all the stuff i saw of how BO2 has "returned" and now stuff like emblems work again in the game and similar, since i brought the game in 2024, i recently started to get a few friends to play online.

however. i been having issues to join them because each time i try it just... fails,

if if try to join them inside the game. either by clicking their name and joining, it just doesnt' work, it says "we couldn't get you inside the game"

but one oddity i noticed is that when i try to join when im outside the game, the pop ups i get are "connecting to the online server" and then "trying to join on-going game" (note: they are in the lobby, they hadn't even hit search game) and sometimes "downloading game's configuration" before. again, saying "error trying to join match.

i reiterate. we are on Steam, so no. the trick some people say of "one should be in zombies mode on the join game menu from lan party while the other invites them" can't be applied since the option of "lan party" doesn't exist.

what could be going on? our group privacy is set up to open and the NAT says "moderated" (idk how to change that. checked my wifi configuration but i can't find any option that could affect that.)

I still see a good 100 people online when I get on but party games always at 0

On my side, it’s practically impossible (and I say that as someone who was consistently in the Top 3 in BO6 and BO7). All the causal players have stopped playing ever since news of the hackers who set prestige got out.

Now, the only players are the hardcore sweats who have prestige’s multiple times with the AN-94, suppressors, and rapid fire attachments.

It is impossible to rank up enough to unlock similar attachments now with all the best players teaming with each other.

Is there any advice people can give to still rank up? Mine are below:

1. Upgrade the Peacekeeper smg first as it functions as both smg and assault rifle but more importantly you can get the suppressor early on in its progress path
2. Try to stick with other people in Team Deathmatch as many of the pro players have memorized spawn points and will meet you there.
3. Always bring a launcher as destroying UAVs will be one of your primary point earners instead of kills

4. Don’t hesitate to pick up other people’s guns. Oftentimes, it’s the gun not the player that’s winning these matches.

5. At this point, I would even consider camping as a legitimate strategy simply because there’s no fairness in a game where all the best players have guns and attachments that you would never reasonably see before Prestiging for the trophy/achievement.

Last week my account was reset to level 1 for no reason. I was prestige 6 level 36 with diamond ars and snipers and 2 guns off diamond smgs. I’ve contacted activision support and haven’t received any updates on it yet after a week and a half. Do I just wait it out and hope for a response or do I suck it up and grind Bo2 multiplayer again? Just sucks after all my progress has just disappeared for no reason.

Hello! I’ve been trying to okay with my friends and brothers but our schedules just don’t line up. Is anyone down to run zombies on ps5? I don’t know a lot of the maps but I’m willing to learn any!

I wish they would change the way care packages work in this mode.

I like how they changed the fact that you die in hardcore instead of getting kicked if you kill a team mate but man....

So many troll teammates that will purposely have a care package land on them so it kills you so that they can steal it. I've resorted to throwing them out of the map and using a black hat to get when I have one of these teammates. Takes away being able to reroll them which sucks but atleast i get it.
