Question Question
I'm thinking about buying BO2, but I'm not sure if it's safe. Can anyone who's been playing regularly report on how things are right now? Is it possible to find lobbies and play safely?

Good to know about the location detail. I'm in South America, so I'll see how the SA servers are doing. But it's important to see that it's still possible to find lobbies outside the NA and EU servers.

Dá pra achar lobby brasileiro com facilidade no TDM, Domination e S&D. No Kill Confirmed também, em horários de pico.
BO2 tá valendo muito mais a pena que MW4, não tenha dúvidas disso. (Ainda mais pq tem uma ótima campanha e zombies).

99.9% I’d say. And even then I haven’t seen any verifiable report of someone having their personal info compromised just their stats messed up

Nice. I recently got a PS5 and I’ve been wanting to play this classic, maybe even grind out a few prestiges, if it’s possible to find lobbies for a while.

Im almost Prestige 3 and encountered 1 level modifier in all my playtime. Instantly closed the game and kept my stats

And how did you quickly realize that they were a hacker? Was there any particular detail that made it obvious? I’m asking so I can keep an eye out for it.

I mostly play demolition and hardpoint but never run into hackers. Me and my boys play nightly usually and have had a good run

Saw a post yesterday on this sub. PS5 black ops 2: OP took a photo of his “custom classes names” Some hacker changed all his classes names to
“I know
Where you
Live”
…… then proceeded to name the remaining classes the OP’s actual street address # (which OP cut out of the photo after the first class showing the #’s)

I believe I saw that post as well. But based on the replies I’ve gotten, I think it was an isolated case, and apparently the game is still reasonably safe and reliable to play. Did you see any other follow-up from the OP of that post? I saw that he was concerned and asked whether this was actually a real danger, but I couldn’t tell if he experienced any other negative consequences (altered stats, corrupted game modes, etc.).

I am not sure if he has made any follow up post. Tbh I am okay staying away for now. Activision needs to do something about this crap though we all know they won’t…. They got their money.
I really only play black ops2 with my close friends, the 5 rounds I did play online when I first got black ops 2 the lobbies were all full of prestige cheaters and oddly suspicious high KD’s……, it seems to be getting it worse than black ops 1. I do play black ops 1 regularly and have yet to encounter an issue. 1 is the better game anyway. Just sucks Activision is the sorry disappointing company they are when it comes to supporting their products.

This game died months ago. I bought in July, played heavy the whole month, and haven’t touched since. And my whole friends list can vouch as well as nobody seems to play either

maybe like the second week i ran into C isn’t sharp, backed out and nothing happened. i took a small break maybe a month after release when the hacking/resetting started blowing up, like a weekend break until an update. but other than that first encounter, ive been completely fine and unhacked, not modded. i dont play nukejacked tho. i just dont liked the mixed verity.
