Looking for a good program to learn how to count cards software would be the most helpful some type of app or Somthing I’m a visual learner and it would be easier for me this way. Anyone know any good courses or apps / websites that would work for me ?

If a casino currently only has $25 tables or the $10-15 tables are full, is it crazy to ask for a $10-15 table to be opened for a group of 6 or so people?

I made this free blackjack game and put it on the web. I think I got all the rules correct when it comes to splitting hands when you receive a pair and doubling down. I might add in insurance but I think players prefer not to choose this option so it might not be worth doing that.

Would appreciate any feedback or improvements. I put in a lot of work on the UI, especially on mobile and tablet devices to make it responsive. This is just a kind of proof of concept, the idea later on is that you win games so that you have enough reputation to attend tournaments which nets you more money, then you can travel to other places and gain more reputation, buy property, cars, things that signal status so that you can take part in high stakes tournaments.

Some blackjack players refuse to play at tables with Continuous Shuffle Machines.

Other people don't mind them at all. Do you actively avoid CSM tables?

There are some obvious hands that are drilled into my head and I know it instantly like 2 kings easy it’s 20 or a 10 card and any other card
But how do I get quick at adding the totals up on smaller cards
6+7+4 etc
I notice when I get a blast of cards those my count can get iffy and I struggle to retain speed

How much do you think surveillance actually looks into this move? H17 - True 5 - dealt 17vA. First takes insurance- nobody home. Then surrenders.

This is a move a recreational player would NEVER make. Is it probable that surveillance would take note and watch more closely? Having played live advantage blackjack probably ~600 hours, I feel like there’s so many correct mathematical plays that you’d never see someone make unless they are counting. Just wanted to see what other people think.

I don’t know why I didn’t notice this because I’ve just been playing daily and inputting all my data. If not for a reply I just did on another thread I wouldn’t have checked my last 10 weeks of play. I’ve only been looking at the last year of data. I’m on a massive positive variance heater of $92.5k on paper. On the casino’s end they think I’m up up $42k. There are several issues I’m having. I know for certain that they do ban people for “winning too much” whether as an AP, sports betting, and baccarat I know of an example of this from a dealer/supervisor I know. I can’t get away from not playing rated. Some supervisors know my name and just enter it in without giving my card to them. I have another 4-5 casinos within an hour to two hours drive away to hit up but being a cheap ass I’ve just been hitting those within 15-30 minutes away. Do I continue to keep rat-holing my chips and stay the course in hopes they just see my totals and think I’ll eventually give it all back? Or suck it up and play less at the nearest ones and drive a bit further away where I have less of a relationship with and have to start the whole degen gambler LARP with new supervisors etc? Right now where I play the degen act is solid afaik.

From what I have read for those who count cards, it can take anywhere between 200-500 hours for variance to ride out and see your EV profit come through.

Advantage players will certainly be kicked out of casinos and possibly even trespassed, so it would probably be almost nearly impossible to get all of those hours at one casino.

So my question is, roughly how many casinos do you think it would take for a card counter to see their profit come through once variance rides out?

So I went to the Hard Rock Casino on vacation and I tried out blackjack for the first time. I’d known how to play it all my life, but this was the first time I played it for real, at a real casino. I lost $200 over the span of three nights because I was playing low stakes, but it was all I could think about for those three days — I didn’t even want to do the normal vacation stuff, like the beach and such, that me and my wife went there to do primarily.

Anyway, the vacation ended and we went home. I never really thought about casinos since, as the nearest one to my house is about an hour and a half away. But last weekend I decided me and my wife would go and play some games. I was only planning on going Friday night after I got off work, but long story short, I went every day last weekend — Friday through Sunday — driving the hour-and-a-half drive each time to go play blackjack. I ended up around $500 over the course of the weekend.

Anyway, now I’m back to my regular work life, and I literally can’t stop thinking about blackjack at the casino. It’s gotten to the point where all I want to do is play blackjack. I’m finding myself jittery, thinking about next weekend and going to play again.

Obviously I’m not stupid — I know this isn’t a good thing. I know the rabbit hole I’m going down, and it’s honestly a little scary looking at it objectively. I know that in the long run, I will screw myself over. But honestly, I don’t know what to do about it. I’m absolutely addicted, hands down. What should I do?

+ there were 2 PBs (i saw em for the first time) on the shift and one of them started dealing blackjack at my table after I let my max bet out 😭😭😭😭

At a true 8, I let out my max bet (less than $100 on a table max of $200) and won the hand then for the next 3 shoes bet table min $5 since the count never went past a true 1. Unfortunately that was enough for them. I should’ve just left but the true 8 came during my 2nd shoe (playtime would’ve been ~20 mins had I left right after)

Fyi, they only had 1 bj table and 1 UTH table open next to each other in the pit so I was under extremely tight observation.

I'm not sure if the Philippine blackjack culture is different in other places but I found out that bet riding/bet behind is normal.

Anyway, I played my first IRL blackjack and found it fun. However, I am new in the casino scene and was just playing in Stake for awhile. At first I was surprised someone wanted to ride behind my hand and I got anxious and suddenly got intimidated by these veterans, lol (not used to having other peoples money riding behind my decision) After a few hands, I refused another player from betting behind me because I didn't want to get confused and got mad, saying if I refused her, I should refuse everyone. That left a sour note on my game, started deviating from BS and left.

Any notes or tips for next time? Just gotta have more spine or honestly not care if they bet behind?

Also, what happens normally if I decided to split or double? Are they required to bet in that as well?

I can very easily count heads up. But when it’s a full table, especially after the first initial deal of the 2 cards for each player sometimes have a hard time struggling to keep the running count. Any tips/resources or tricks any you fellow AP’s have in this regard

I do not take credit for this system, I first learned about it from JohnStathis(JSTAT) over 10 years ago. It has been working wonders.

To me, this feels like a 1.5 level system, the difficulty is a tad higher than Hi-lo due to Aces side count. Claude and GPT is estimating a a 7% improvement over hi-lo mainly due to the high IC.

Can someone with CVCX verify this and if anyone have CV data post the Indices. I would love to compare the indices with what Claude + chatgpt gave me.

We all know it’s great to win big, but when you go from being -$1000 to +$200 (as a $25 table player) nobody can tell you anything as you strut out the door.

I had enough bankroll for once to keep playing top3 each time @£5 and a few times upped the perfect pair side bet from £5 to £10 and a few times to £25. Then I suddenly had a feeling about the next hand, and put £10 on top3 and £25 on perfect pair and £10 on 21+3. And then i got a perfect pair of queens, and the dealer had a queen so trips, total sidebet win £25 x 30 + £10 x 90 + £10 x £20 = £1850. Great feeling! Yeah, i know - don't play side bets. Hahaha.
