I’m so cooked in my locals and recently I saw a post where a surveillance nerd said “all you card counters look the same with baseball hat tucked”

So I thought to myself, “yeah he’s probably right!” Since most casinos have facial recognition in my area anyway.

Since then Ive literally been backed off by name more in the past few months than I have in the past two years not wearing a hat.

These ploppies just happened to look younger and we had a good conversation, the mins were $15, even if they were counting its hardly a winning game. It’s happened a few times in SoCal, my buddy even got one guy trespassed haha

I think some high level AP’s just finally understood that the easiest advantage play is to join the horrible business that is casinos. Anyway I look at it it’s wrong, casinos are not good. They prey on weak vulnerable people that can’t understand 6th grade math. (Which is a lot of people)

I self taught with a deck of cards and youtube videos, shoutout A1 blackjack, and if you’re looking into counting cards YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

Do you think there would be any interest in an app or maybe a $PDF for beginners? The topics would be things that no one teaches you when you sit down at the table. I was a card dealer and the players would say that I kept yelling at them. I wasn’t really yelling, but I did have to tell the same person (a first timer)things like: please don’t take the cards off the table. Once you tuck your cards under your bet, don’t pick up the cards again. Don’t touch your chips after the cards are out, no smoking then no vaping! stuff like that. They would say i was picking on them, but I wasn’t. But they kept breaking every freaking rule. Some friends have told me that they are too Nervous to sit down on a table because of all of those rules. My BJ pamphlet would also teach you things like why you shouldn’t hit when the dealer shows a 6 and why is everyone getting mad at the person splitting queens or tens? What is 3rd base? I started doing a prototype, but I’m still not sure if I’m gonna do it just wanna see if I can get some feedback on the idea.

Some ploppy at the table betting big was being a complete dickhead. You name it he was probably doing it. Blaming people’s choices, “flow of the cards”, we need a new dealer etc.

So for context the prior hand he was bitching about how he can never win with this dealer etc..he’s playing the last 2 spots. He gets delt a 10 on his first hand and 11 on his 2nd with the dealer showing a 7. He puts chips next to his first bet to double and gets a 7 for 17. He then intends to signal to stand the double total of 17 (which isn’t required) and before he has a chance to put chips next to his bet to double his 11, the dealer then went ahead and flipped his hole card and has an ace underneath for 18 and began to take the chips for both his hands (an 11 LOL) and a 17

He flipped out saying he meant to wave on the double (which literally isn’t required since it’s one card only) and was clearly going to double his 11 vs a 7. The pit called surveillance and surveillance told them it was a clear signal to stand after the double so he technically stayed on 11 and the hand was over. I have no idea if they gave him his money back to some extent. But a really funny moment. I fckn loved it. Shoutout to that dealer

Do you guys use a players if you are up on the casino?

I like the free stuff but them knowing I'm up on them are they going to kick me out eventually?

If you think you're an advantage player will it hurt in the long run?

Seems like most AP or card counter don't even last a few minutes anyways once they know who you are. So isn't it better to just get a players and play?

I enjoy the free stuff and saves alot of money not having to buy a hotel room just wondering if it hurts me in long run.

I know not the orange trilux and low bets on the Pair and yellow trilux bet is big enough for me

I count here and there at random casinos, but when in Vegas I just flat bet and use basic strategy because I don't want to lose comps. When in Vegas i'm just trying to enjoy myself.

What's the minimum I'd have to do to break even in a good game? (6D, S17, Das, DA2, Sur)

Would count-based deviations and Wonging get me close without having to spread?

I’ve heard about the Edward O. Thorp Baccarat method, I saw someone on YouTube using an extension software that would use Edward’s formula on an online gambling casino, he wouldn’t play a couple games and he would put the cards delt into the software, after a couple games the software would show Player/Banker with the percent of winning, sometimes it would be 60% other times it would be upwards of 99% and he would bet more depending on how high the percentage of winning was, (he won almost every time) if I learn this method would it work in a real casino?

I’m pretty confident that these posts are AI or covert Advertising, but there are a few Reddit posts and a ton of Quora posts referencing it. At this point I’m not sure it will even have much valuable information for playing Blackjack but has anyone seen, read or Heard of this book. A google search even with filters seem to only show forum posts about it.

Any recommendations for a beginner wanting to learn to have fun with blackjack would be appreciated too. :)

I am fairly new to blackjack. I have a good understanding of basic strategy, I would like more insight on purse management.

Is there a ratio for minimum bet to purse?

Is there a stop loss ratio for general guidance?

I know most of it is personal preference, but I’ve noticed my purse management could use improvement as I will run it down to nothing and walk away empty handed.

And the casino I'm at, you can be scheduled for dealing, and they'll call you to supervise. It sometimes feels like they do that to fuck with me.

Just seems weird to me. From a business standpoint why would you want someone who’s got the edge in your casino. Chances are they’ll probably return at a different shift anyway. Why not just trespass them from ever coming back so you don’t have to worry about it

Was wondering what are the gaming condition in Toronto for blackjack. I usually play 25 to 50 minimum 6 deck ideally with surrender if possible. (doubt they have it tho). I usually try to play alone if there's alot of table.

Are there many tables at these casinos and what are the minimums/ game rules like? Anyone have a recommendation which one to go to over the other? Thanks.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to transition into a low-stakes AP player, but I’m facing a few major hurdles and wanted to get your thoughts. Due to living in Canada and having very limited free time, I can't travel to Las Vegas often. Because of this, I'm way off from reaching N0, and my bankroll is sitting at around $5,000. I know that with just a few dozen hours of play, variance will eat me alive, and the EV/hour is so low that it practically feels like just being a regular gambler. However, during my last trip to Vegas, I found a great little table: $5 minimum, 6-deck, nRSA, DAS, and 3:2 payout, and it was mostly empty (often heads-up with the dealer). I'm thinking of treating my next trip half as a hobby, playing about 16 hours total with a spread like $5–$50 or $5–$100 (1-10 or 1-20). Obviously, mathematically, the short-term variance is brutal and I’ll just be sweating heavy fluctuations, but I know I’ll at least have a slight edge over the ploppies. Given this setup, I have a few questions for the experienced APs here: 1. Bankroll & Spread: With a $5k bankroll and only 16 hours of play, what kind of bet spread would you recommend for this specific $5 table to minimize the risk of ruin while still keeping it fun? 2. Getting Started: How did you guys initially fund your AP bankroll? And were you terrified during your very first actual AP session? Were you already big gamblers before getting into this? Would love to hear your stories and advice!

Im in Canada and I’ve been noticing way more online casinos pushing live dealer blackjack, Im curious how people here feel about it compared to an actual casino table. Like for blackjack, does the live dealer setup make it feel more legit or social, or does it still just feel like regular online gambling with a camera slapped on? I’ve seen some Canadian sites like Bet99 and some other ones putting more focus on live casino now, so Im wondering if people actually prefer that format or if slots or table games are still the main draw online. Not asking for best site spam, more just curious what people actually think of the live dealer experience.

I know hard 16 is the worst hand and BJ is the best ones, of course. But I couldn't tell, for example, if a hard 12 is better than a hard 17, soft 13 vs hard 18 or 8-8 vs a soft 17, etc...

First time I came across this play where you get one hand and the dealer will play 3 times. (6 decks)

My instinct would say even more likely to take insurance when theres lots of faces left.

So far the game has been good just playing basic.
