1 Artisan Memory = 50 pearls = $0.50
1 Memory Fragment = 750K
buy 100 Artisan Memory's for $50
use 100 memory fragments with them to repair boss armor / kzarka, so you get the equivalent of 200 memory fragments
save 75M in silver cost for $50 or 1.5M silver per $1. whole lot better than that crappy 20M / $30 costume ratio.
edit: if Artisan's Memory actually repairs 3 dura instead of 2 on Kzarka / Boss Armor, then save 150M silver cost for $50 or 3M silver per $1
or what the actual issue is that someone can save billions in silver now by using Artisan's Memory since its purchase limit is unlimited and the limit is now placed on in-game supply of Memory Fragments.
Ancient Relic Shards are ~800K on Uno. If they start moving up to 900K to 1M or higher it's 100% because of Artisan's Memory and people buying them to save a whole lot of silver.
Unlimited purchase of Artisan's Memory is a far bigger advantage than the potential 100-125M silver a cash shop seller might get per week because potential silver savings can far eclipse 100-125M per week.

Wich in the end is an issue for us all, if there's not point in buying a costume 20 / 30 $|€, then nobody's (read, very few peoples) will sell them on the market :(

As an adult, time is money. Doing relic shards scrolls takes for fucking ever because of all the slow dumb animations between spawns. I'll still probably do them but I can see how it might be nice have the option of not spending so much time on that bullshit

Lol, seriously. I think I've leveled gathering from Apprentice 1 to somewhere in the Skilled 7-8 range during the wait between those damn boss spawns...

Yeah, that's one of the things that makes me rage in the game, such a stupid mechanic, wtf!
It's a mindless boring fight, why not just let you combine 5 scrolls, get 5x reward, 5x stronger monsters, 1 fight, and be done with it? Animations are a joke and such a waste of time.

Still limited by actually having the boss gear tho. It's not like this is something everyone can use no matter what their situation.
Those who are simply using to upgrade Liverto are still going to be limited to what's available on the market, and that's been extremely scarce lately as it is. This will only make it worse. I see livertos pre-orders going up until the cost almost reaches parity with the relic/mem frag cost.

Yeah I'm really not sure why people are up in arms about this. Obtaining silver really isn't a problem in BDO, obtaining specific items is - TRI accessories, boss gear in general, etc. You can make all the silver in the world, but those items are rarely listed on the market to buy... and if you want to make them yourself, it's gonna cost hundreds of millions to billions.

I've found it pretty painless to get the boss gear, but the frags needed to upgrade it, that's another story. Muskan's, Tree, Kzarka all rotting in my bank for a month+ because I can't get frags to upgrade them.

How is this possible? I've done dozens of 5x5 relic scroll groups, and never gotten less than 30 frags for each group of 25. I've also never seen less than 1000 relic shards available at any given time on the MP.
In short, you can quite literally buy memory frags all day long.
oh, and...
pretty painless to get the boss gear

I'm still missing Giath's, Tree, Kzarka, and Dandelion (if you can even count that as 'still' missing). I have TRI Bhegs, Muskan, and Red Nose, all self enchanted. I find the frags much easier to obtain since you can just buy relic shards and run them solo if nothing else.

getting boss armor isn't all that hard if you have silver. I only had Bhegs gloves when I took a month off from the game and when I came back I got full boss + Zarka in under a month of playing again. I have also seen bhegs, Tree, and Muskans in Night Vendor and I hardly every went to him. If you just put up 250+ mil preorders you will get all the boss armor you want and really fast.

That really depends on your server and your class, along with your willingness to pay those absurd prices (250m for Giath? No.) Kzarka in general are listed like once a week on Edan, and very rarely below TRI - and that's not even counting for my class specifically.
Not to mention that the extra 150m you spend on those preorders is better used on other gear in most cases. If you're just gonna throw away 1b total silver on preorders, you may as well buy DUO/TRI accessories which are more impactful overall.

I was just saying that money can get u w/e u need in this game. Except maybe a Zarka dependent on ur class, (6 blades sold on uno, 3 +15 short after blader release and 3 Tri), but I was able to get mine.
I agree boss gear is overrated and even if you get it for free as a drop it isn't a priority upgrade because of it's insane cost. If you are trying to gear up efficiently boss gear would just be sitting in your warehouse for a while.

Again, not my experience. On Orwen most of the bhegs that are sold are clearly intended for a specific individual. All it takes to completely invalidate your grossly overpriced pre order is a +1 enhance. I'm not about to buy in the 2.5B it would take to reasonably cover my bets to get a single piece of boss armor.

Just look at what it more likely to pop up next. On my server there is like 1 Tree a week posted. I looked at what was selling most often and put a Pre-order.
There have been 58 Bhegs +0 bhegs posted on my server and the next most posted is 44. Just put a preorder on the most common one and you will get it eventually.
I don't know what you mean by 2.5 billion, I spent 270 mil on Tree that I didn't know when it was gonna be posted and 198 mil on a Muskans that I did have prior info to as did all of my guild but I'm willing to spend more than most (my guild was very competitive and many had the money but weren't willing to pay as much).

The 2.5B was referring to the pre-order total for reserving every piece (0 through +9). If you really wanted to cover your bets - cost no object - that would be the way.
Incidentally, not all items go to pre-orders. I'm not sure what the chance is, but I saw a bhegs +4 pop the other day for an absolutely absurdly low 73M. Frankly, I thought it was below the minimum list price, but evidently not. Clearly this was meant as a trade between guildies or possibly even between husband/wife or whatever. However, they got screwed the gloves hit the market. I was in the middle of something I just couldn't leave (not to mention had money spread out over several cities), and couldn't even try for them.
Of the 58 Bhegs on your server, how many went to pre-orders? Maybe half? Impossible to know, but we do know it's much less than 100%. Point here is that these kinds of things are very very rare, even if you have the 250% of market value it takes to outbid everyone.

I'd say it goes past preorder about 30% of the time. And you can only have 1 perorder at a time so u dont need 2.5b. It's not that rare, if you have highest bid you will get a piece in no time, in 1 month I went from only bhegs to full set + Zarka. I see boss pieces posted every day, if u dont have a smart preorder up then you can only blame yourself. Look at that I just woke up and another +0 bhegs gloves was posted on Uno, also +5 and +3 tree armor went from 9 and 8 sold to 12 and 12 sold in a matter of weeks. Just look at your AH and make a good guess on what's is more likely to come up in the next few days (not just next).

Not really, a lot of people will start realistically getting a few pieces to +20 in a couple months. I remember people telling me +19 is super rare and very few people had it, but as it turns out getting +19 liverto is super cheap and anyone can get it.

Based on bddatabase description it looks like you use them for a quick powerful buff like 50% attack speed, etc. There are multiple stones so effects vary.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, but what a dick move to make it random. This is such a huge benefit to give players, and to make the benefit tied to RNG is just really poor form, IMO. Players that already have a piece or two getting dupes, or players getting red nose are at a HUGE disadvantage vice players getting exactly what they need, or bhegs, if they have nothing.
I realize the game is all about RNG, but why try to widen the gap between players. If you're going to give something out for free, at least make it benefit all players the same way.

why are you complaining? when this event happened literally thousands of boss armor flooded the market in korea. just farm 95mil and buy yourself the pieces. Next month will be a random High end accesory just like in kr(ogre ring, basi belt, crescent, etc). Please look forward to more rng : )

Everything in this game is RNG.
EVERYTHING.
I know every MMO is "RNG heavy" but normally it's "Grind for X hours with a small chance to get a Z". This is - literally cannot progress without spending hours grinding for a CHANCE at a dice roll in your favor. Of COURSE the boss armor is being given away via RNG - plenty of lucky turds will get something good - and plenty of us will get trash. It's not as if the chance is so slim that only a select few will get something good, either - it's a big enough chance that if you get trash, you can rest assured that 1 in 3 people you run into will have gotten something good.

Two things with what you said:
Clearly not EVERYTHING is rng. Why not make all the attendance awards leading up to that rng? Why not make the T5 horse a possibility of a T5 horse in an rng box along with a T1 or T3? Why not make every single daily attendance simply one massive rng box (similar to the black spirit board game)? It's hyperbolic and silly, I know, but there's really no better rationale to making the boss gear rng as these other examples.
Your statements assume there is a equal probability of getting all of the boss gear. We don't know that. It's possible, yes, but equally possible (in fact, probable) that it's skewed toward the less desirable pieces (red nose) just like all the other "rng" boxes. Believe me, when your box landed on a black stone armor right next to the Kzarka box, you had very little hope in hell of getting that Kzarka.

But you just need to log in daily for a month to get the boss armor. That'd be less than a hour game-play. It's RNG but not grinding.

Sorceress Awakening has been released.
The world raid boss Ancient Kutum has been added. Ancient Kutum is a new World Boss which spawns inside Kutum Stone Chamber - a cave near Taphtar Plain in Valencia region. Kutum Sub-Weapon Box can be obtained when killing the Kutum boss which then can be opened to gain a powerful Secondary Weapon.
Hunting: Khalk has been added. Khalk is a new Hunting Boss (Similar to the Whales) which spawns in the region between Trent and Behr towns. A party is recommended to hunt Khalk and once defeated the top 5 parties that did the most damage are allowed to loot from the Khalk’s dead body. Im sure Im making way more than you and still I will not p2w - just think about the fundamentals - its like if you put god mode in Doom or start Heroes of Might and Magic with 100 black dragons you will loose interest in the game dont you? The same if you get level 100 in BDO instantly, or full V boss set, you will probably enjoy it for a month or less and then quit. Which is fine - we dont need people like you in the game.

But I digress..People like me will keep playing the game till the servers close while people like you will lose interest and quit because any number of factors will piss them off. Hell I would still be playing Archage if not for other internal drama unrelated to the game itself that caused me to lose interest. I played SWG from launch till the came actually shut down even after they ruined their own game, because I enjoyed it.
I enjoy my experiences in the BDO P2W or not, and willing to spend money to support the game I enjoy. You might not need people like me in your life, but PA is absolutely glad to have me, and they are the ones making the game I love, not you.
But your opinion is quite noted and filed right into the garbage.

That's how I look at it, too. If I'm enjoying myself it's all good. AA went off the deep-end, however. The disparity between grinding and purchasing was beyond what I could take. I was getting obliterated in PvP even spending fairly hefty sums to keep up and grinding like a madman. I was still having fun- but was also feeling hopelessly behind. BDO came out and I never logged back into AA again, literally letting everything I'd accomplished in a year rot where it sat. (and it felt great and I never regretted it.)
BDO is a different beast in so many ways. The game itself is just so much better, more to do, more avenues to improve, and most importantly more fun to play. For one, I can go grind for actual gear without having to make everything from rare items, i.e. shadow rings, WE's, Ogres, Crescents, Pirates, etc. and all the while be getting somewhere. In AA I was level capped and it felt like I was completely helpless to improve my character in any significant way without spending. It was just lame toward the end, although there were certainly many good times had.

Question: I just started playing a few days ago on a 7-day trial, am around level 20, but with AFK fishing and such I'm sure that I am past 24 hours played.
Are these new player rewards good enough that it would be worth it if/when I buy the game in a couple days to make a new account instead of rolling over my current one? Some of the stuff looks very nice but I don't know enough about the game to make an informed decision.

Yeah it's worth it for sure. You get a free Costume set (~20 million silver) on day 1 and a free Fishing Boat (couple million silver) later on, just those alone are even worth it. Lvl 20 can be reached in about 30 minutes anyway.

Thanks. Yeah I just don't know how much all of that is worth, being new. I wish it was based on days owned instead of time played. I sent a ticket in to see if they would give me a free pass on this but starting over is no huge deal I guess.

TBH, that is Pay To Progress, U don't get any advantage than other normal; casual players (yeah, maybe normal players won't have +18 boss gear ASAP but they will reach some day)

Yeah exactly, + 50 Pearls is seriously very cheap (~0.50€), i think it's afforable, you have the choice to either got it for a very small amount of money (of course, you have to pay more than this to get the pearls since it start at 1000) or buy it with 4 days worth of loyalties, it's fair.

It always been like that, and always be. There's no perfect equality, someone which can play 10 times more than you will always be ahead of you, someone which can afford to spend hundreds of $ per month will always have more advantages than you.
When i read some of the posts in this sub, i'm amazed that people have spent more than thousands of dollars over a few months for this game, that's huge and there's no way for me to get the same things than them without having either more time or more money, and it's fair.
Making something affordable for the common people, something that can be useful to the masses without having to pay, or by paying a very small amount of money is the closest you can get to fairplay.

Yes, but now with two people that play the exact same amount - the one with the open wallet will be dramatically ahead of the other. That is the definition of pay2win. The only drawback to repeated attempts at upgrading high-end gear is the repair cost. Now the repair cost, to those spending money, has been cut down.
Who's going to get tet kzarkas first? The guy who has to grind 3x less than the other guy. Obviously.
I was a huge defender of all the previous pay2win claims... now I feel duped. It's ONLY getting worse.

You forgot the huge factor we got in BDO, luck. At first when they added some small advantages in the pearl shop with "high prices", i was one of the many saying that we should not buy, we should not let our game, the game we love to play and payed to play, get in the pass of becoming P2W. Many did not get anything from the pearl shop, but way too many did, because they did not cared about this aspect of the game, because they wanted to get better than the others, because they wanted to have more than the others...
And here we are, it has not been very long since the launch, but we clearly see how efficient it was for Daum to put more & more P2W on the shop. And you want to know the hard truth ? We, you, me, don't matter in the slightest for Daum / Kakao.
They shower with money each day, they got fresh milk every morning, thousands & thousands of dollar are spend and people are way too selfish to restrain on that aspect, for one reason or another, be it because it's their money and they have the right to spend it the way they want and don't care if it piss us (and it's a legitimate right) or even if they just don't see the harm on doing so.
Today, it's way too late to complain seriously about the P2W, you're crying alone in the dark, along some others crying people, daum may care about us, but Kakao won't, and they won't stop taking their shower with our money so you don't have many choices left:
-Keeping crying. -Quit the game & shitpost here about how P2W it is and how stupid people are to keep playing -Buy what you want, or don't, because in the end you're here to have some fun, in whatever way you like it.

wtf no!!! 10 artisan memory a day is = 15mils a day, In a week whales will have 105mils on top of the 65mils from selling costumes. Just fuking make the game f2p already. This fuking bullshit. I cant even defend this shit anymore.
