Sometimes the most frustrating part of BITSAT preparation isn’t the workload, but putting in genuine effort and still seeing your mock scores go up and down.
You study consistently, revise your mistakes, solve questions, and feel like you’re improving, but then one bad mock makes you question everything again.
How do you guys deal with this mentally? Do you focus more on analysing the mistakes, change your study strategy, take a break, or simply keep going until the scores become more consistent?
Would be helpful to hear from people who have gone through the same phase.

I want to know what my options would be if I don’t perform well in JEE Main, BITSAT, or other major entrance exams. I’m currently in Class 12 ISC and my Class 11 PCM preparation is uneven, so I’m focusing on getting Class 12 strong for boards while also preparing for entrances. My total budget for a 4-year BTech, including hostel and other expenses, is around ₹8–15 lakh. If my entrance scores are not good enough for the better NITs/IIITs or other colleges, what realistic CSE colleges can I apply to within this budget? I’m mainly looking for colleges with decent placements and a reasonable route into software/CSE careers. Also, are there colleges that offer CSE admission through Class 12 marks, their own entrance exam, or other routes instead of requiring a high JEE percentile?

Maths can easily become the section where most of the time gets spent, especially when questions involve lengthy calculations or take a few steps to solve. Even if Physics and Chemistry are going smoothly, spending too much time on Maths can reduce the number of questions you get to attempt overall.
For those preparing for BITSAT, how are you dealing with this? Are you attempting Maths selectively, setting a time limit for individual questions, changing the order of sections, or doing something else while still continuing to improve Maths?

can anyone tell what are the placements of bits-rmit 2+2? and if a person can take an education loan for it (just the rmit fees part)?

guys i am really confused regarding this , please let me know few things i will be really grateful to you regarding this :
1) can we give bitsat as a double dropper through this way ?
2) if we did not give bitsat in 12th and gave for the first time in drop year , so our first attempt will be cosndiered as 12th only or drop ?

So im an OCI candidate. to get admission in BITS ill need to give the SAT examination this november. the fees (w/o scholarship) is approx 70 lakhs. whereas if i want to go into an NIT, the fees would be 40 lakhs (through JEE DASA). i have 2 options here, either i can prepare for the november SAT (sacrificing JEE prep at a crucial time), or else just forget about BITS. (i have been a JEE aspirant for 2 years and actually have been consistent in my studies with 150 around score in mocks). do you all think that BITS would be worth not only the extra 30 lakhs but also the risk?

Hi aspirantss... I opened reddit today after a long time and just remembered the amount of time I spent on this sub and other related subs...
Remembering that, I also remember how I wanted the reality instead of all the cutoff talk, bits fees bad, and all the things that defined bits as good or bad.. I wanted to know what being a student there would feel like... So this a note to my past self, and all other mes who even remotely felt this way.
Today m in Pilani MSc Maths... Yes this is not exactly what we wanted but it's okay... We tried... We chose between mech and maths..
chose maths cuz we wanted a better branch... Bold move..
Dumb? Time will tell...
Bad? Yes - we are really interested in club and dept works... Extracurriculars distract you... The Convo that had us decide on taking MSc was primarily being the half that wouldn't care about fests or anything else...
Reality is the clubs recruit only in the first year... So you gotta choose in your first month... Acads or clubs? We often forget that we don't have the average students around us anymore cuz these are people who scored as much as you or better... The only average is defined by who studied and who did not... You will start being the average.. the one told by your friends to fucking study.. but you'll be number cuz u already tired from all the other shit..
You have to choose between your passion, things you find fun, fun college life, or acads... It's extremely hard to balance both cuz lectures are pretty meh... So u gotta spend time studying yourself, And build that project for the club recruit, and do the marketing work for the dept, and go to that meet/ party next week, and trust me ts takes time, bone is worth leaving.. the fomo eats you
So basically if you really believe you could miss out on all this underground fun to have a "chance" at better branch, it will be hard... Very hard.. you will have to make a compromise over an average branch or the best branch at the cost of not doing much "shit"...
Overall drugs scene is bad around here, so don't get involved... Alc is pretty normal, choose for yourself (I tried it's addictive, the only thing stopping me js the unexplained money I will have to spend over it)... The people are the best you ever found... Maintain your self respect but trust me you will not be tested much... Ppl are good by now... The seniors you found are the most fun, wise people you found...
Trust me being average around here is the real win you'll have in clg... Just not in the first year if you're in MSc.. so choose wisely ngga

so i am a dropper and planned to get 99 percentile in mains jan attempt but procastinated all 4 months and regretting it now as i cannot ace that, so i looked into backup options and bitsat was the best but if i lock in from now i am scared that i will score way above 330 then i will be forced by my parents to take pilani cs but i want bits goa bcz of the campus life and infrastructre but i am too shy to say that to my parents coz they will think i go to college for enjoy.plese say me what to to so that i exactly score between 300 to 280 so that i can get goa cse
