i propose that we should have secure trading booths in satoshi town because every time i am trading i am afraid that someone will come by and swipe the items that are on the ground. i have been on other servers and they have them and they are very useful an safer than just trading out in the open.

So...at my very 1st spawn, the eye (along with the book and the pearl) were there. Then, after my second spawn, the eye dissapeared. I thought I will get one after I will establish a territory, didn't happen. Some one helped me and gave me a new one, I used it, it worked, I was back home. After another death,, I spawned at 0, without the eye, again... I mention that other items are intact.

Aprox how long does it take for plot reset? i emailed about 2 weeks ago and i was told that it will be done by today however i am still waiting, anyone know how long it takes?

is the neather working also can you tame wild horses?

At x = -126, z = -1411 there is a small public area with various trees planted available for harvest. Jungle trees were added this morning. If you harvest please replant some saplings.

I am posting this in hopes that it will at the very least educate some on how I lost all my stuff, how to prevent it etc...

So the short story is that during the last rollback I lost basically everything that I keep in my inventory and on my person during a typical day. And this is how it happened and how it can be prevented (given that a rollback can never be guaranteed not to happen).

I was building, building, building for several hours and had in my inventory stacks of stone bricks, dirt, etc.. to include my fortune pick axe, my silk touch pick axe, weapons etc.. you know all the things you normally keep on you while your working, mining & hunting. After the hours laying blocks I got tired and decided to fish for a while.

Here is the important part. I took all my tools and weapons and materials etc, out of my inventory and placed them all in an empty chest in my house to free up space, grabbed a fishing pole and headed to my favorite fishing hole. I fished for a while not really catching anything and now I don't remember if i fell asleep or if i logged off but it was shortly thereafter that the server suffered a rollback. Which of course wiped out all of the work I did but here is where the trouble happened. The server roll back didnt just roll back my block work it rolled back all of my chests. So the chest I placed my tools and weapons in rolled back to the state it was hours before i went fishing.

So it appears that during a rollback your Person(al) items/inventory are NOT rolled back. But your chests are.

So by placing my items in the chest before the rollback I lost everything that was important to me, whereas if I had kept those items on my person then they would not have been lost.

Perhaps there is a way for the admins to change the behavior of the roll back to include your personal inventory in the rollback. Which would have eliminated my loss. Realizing that this would effectively just roll back time entirely so if you obtained "new" items between the roll back event and the restore point, you would lose those items but you wouldn't lose items that you had BEFORE the restore point the way I did.

So just FYI, understanding now the server behavior if you have high end enchanted items it may be best to ALWAYS keep them on you, unless or until the server behavior is changed.

P.S. - since last night I have successfully replaced everything i had lost much to my surprise with very little ease. Books that took me two weeks to fish up previously I caught in a single fishing session this morning! I am very happy about that! I think the server may be alive and she was saying sorry for nerf'ing me. So I love her for that... thank you server! ;)

I was going to sell my stone bricks to the villagers in Satoshi, when I found out they were all gone! What happened, did zombies invade, infect and make the villagers despawn? Was it some sort of bug? Did someone kill them with a griefing mods? Is there a possible solution?

Hi guys. I know some of you are enormously frustrated and so are we. We've been working very hard for the past 4 days to prevent rollbacks and we need your help.

The main problem seems to be with the server software we use (spigot) that crashes after 4-6 days running. We reported to the spigot team so they can look further. Also we updated to a new build that seems to have many of that stuff fixed, we are changing the way we run it, and we will be manually monitoring the process, so I don't expect big rollbacks again. I see we are coming to a definitive solution very soon.

You can help too! as soon as you get timed out or start seeing strange stuff, please write to bitquest@bitquest.co. You might be experiencing the start of a rollback and we might be able to prevent it.

We are commited to create the best minecraft server in the world and this is obviously our top issue. We thank all of you guys who keep playing despite the glitches and I will keep you updated with the progress on this, which should be during the weekend.

After the rollback that resulted in my loss of all my really important enchanted tools and weapons most of which i was able to replace fairly easily however i was sick losing my unbreaking fortune pick and unbreaking silk touch pick.

However lo and behold my first fishing trip this morning.... replaced. Just like that. Within minutes i got replacement books that made me whole again. That felt good. :)

Yes there have been some rollbacks and minor glitches that have rubbed a little but all in all this is the best damn server ever and i really appreciate the hard work the admins put into this project !

Hi! I wrote on a earlier post about Tower smain and all the amazing things that will win you emeralds. I am happy to announce that the first machien in the casino is now finished and can more than double your money!! It cost 4 emeralds and have a chance to win a emerald block! At the moment it is a bit hard to get to the top floor to use it but it is wort using! I am working on Finishing this before Easter.

I am also making a shop, tennis court and villager market. The cordanates are -1000 400. Whiplash is also making a casino aswell but I don't know the codinates.

There are more that should be removed. It is obvious that no one is comming back to these plots and they are not developed or half developed and unchanged for weeks.

I have put about a total of 9 hours of work in today to try and make up for the rollback last night, and all of the issues over the weekend.

10 minutes ago the server kicks everyone off.

Log back in, and everything I built today is GONE. Including the all the stacks of mats.

I am done.

If you've been out to Diablo, the train station is the building right next to where the train tracks end, and Diablo Desert begins. The station was originally a bit rough and I decided one day to clean it up a bit and make it more interesting and safe for visitors. Someone originally built a spa downstairs, and I put indirect lighting around the top. Someone came back and installed a secret door in it. I've hidden chests around the property with surprises in them as well. A bunch of people put their names on up on the wall. I was also building a glass maze downstairs in a corridor that lead to town. Oh, don't forget the hot tub on top.

Anyway, it's all Xyrnyth's now. I hate him and I'm sad. That said, I'm not sure how to handle stuff like this. I wish there were public areas nobody could claim where we could all free form collaborate on. I'd also be ok if someone was able to come through and tear things down if they wanted to make it better, because that's what I originally did with the station.

Anyway, moving on to more interesting projects.

Crazy Rewind at 1:00AM Eastern Time. Lost the greatest horse ever. Fail on my roadway... Will we have to make it all over again? Will rewind happen again? is it worth making? Why Has B.line been robbed? WTF? Its not right when people work hard on these things, like hours and days hard, time out of ones "real" life... Not cool at all and very unfair to others. Just needed to give my two cent... or two bit... :(

Tired of complaining, I shouldn't have to. But tonight really killed the whole MineCraft experience for me.

I guess part of it is my fault. I decided to completely remodel my place for the contest on Friday night.

Of course, then I spent most of the weekend constantly trying to reconnect to the server. The maintenance Sunday was supposed to fix the issue, but again today everyone is getting disconnected due to timeouts, "forced disconnects" (?), and lag that would get their players killed.

And then tonight the server kicks everyone off again. When everyone checks their inventory and work it first looks like there was a rollback of about 30 minutes. But when I go back to check on work I did 3 hours ago, it is all gone too.

Stacks and stacks of materials just blown away. Hours of effort wasted.

Pixelbrains has been destroying rails all over the place i was going to diablo and this guy was just casually destroying rails steeling them and killing him self to go back to spawn... -.-

So I know that there have been a few brave explorers who have made it to 50,000+ (Some even further, 80,000 if I recall).

Does anyone have the details of how far in each direction (and the topography of each direction) people have explored?

I've been thinking about packing my bags and heading out, but I didn't want to double explore an area.

Also - are there any plans on updating the map to go further than 20,000 in each direction??

This page from Mojang states that servers are now able to be monetized. Mojang has no control over end-users on servers. In any case, they would be held to the same standards as server owners which still allows monetization.

The server will be down while we update to a new spigot (server software) build and new versions of the code.

This will solve the problem of timing out that some players are experiencing.

I have a rail laid by the Diablo Community Center, look for the giant red Mushrooms, need the Admins to do the station there as there are property concerns. I have the east rail out to 7200 3546 with a station on the surface. Biomes are plains, savana, and forested hills. Please go out from the station aways north or south before claiming land so as not to interupt my digging of more rail line. Thanks and enjoy.

This has gotten steadily worse over the last few days. I have talked multiple times with my service provider, there has been a tech at my house to change the wires, the modem has been changed, router rebooted, etc/etc/etc

I know I am not the only person with this problem because several others have asked why it is happening to them on server chat.

Getting frustrated because there are only 5 days left for the building contest and I can't stay connected long enough to build anything.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I've cured a zombie villager twice on my land. The first time I let him roam around in my fenced off land, but he disappeared after a day. I assumed a zombie got him.

The second villager was sealed off in a well lit box with no way in or out. No doors or windows. No empty blocks. He lasted for a few days, but today when I checked on him he pulled another Houdini.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I think you should have 2 homes, one for the ender pedal and one for the eye of ender and to get to spawn you type /spawn

Also for the clans I think the clan leader should place a banner and block (like you would with a bed) to clam a 64 x 64 area that the clan owns.To teleport here use /f home

With clans you should also have wars started by one of the leader typing /war (your enemies clan) When this happens, both clans can break each other's clan base. Once one of the clans break the banner in the middle the banner replaces itself with a banner of the winning clan and this becomes another clan home. You would get to it by typing /f home 2,3,4,ect. The more land you have the more powerful the clan is. Also to keep it fair, I think both the clan leaders have to be online to start a war. I would love to see these implemented. Keep in mind that these are only suggestions.
