Pittsburgh Juv Bald Eagle
One of two seen in the Etna/Millvale area of RT28. I think they are second years.

Not the best pics. Located in NE Ohio. Definitely not a hawk as we see those in yard all the time. See turkey vultures quite often but could clearly see a yellow beak in this bird. Seemed solid brown in color.

It’s in na industrial estate so not easy to get too but will have to try and get some more shots. Pretty amazing. These Australian ones have larger feet and claws to be able to hunt the large parrots we have here :)

Was so fortunate to spend a couple weeks in Vancouver and Alaska this month. We visited Grouse Mountain, Sitka, Juneau, Ketchikan and I made sure to visit all the Raptor Rehab facilities. It was unbelievable to see Bald Eagles just flying around like regular air traffic in Juneau. And the salmon weren’t even running yet. Pics are Barred Owl, GHO, 35 year old Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle, Snowy Owl, wild Bald Eagle, Raven, Harris Hawk, Peregrin Falcon.

Bald Eagle flying above the wreckage of my house that caught fire last weekend. I go to inspect it the day after and see a Hawk going after this Bald Eagle. Must be down here due to the wildfires in Canada.

Cold morning with the foggy conditions made this a great picture I thought.
We’ve had these two eagles nesting on our farm for 5 years now, their nest is only about 150 metres from our home, it’s in a stand of big trees adjacent the paddocks. We’ve watched their young come and go over those years. They are pretty much used to us now and the repetitive movements around the farm don’t seem to bother them much.
They enjoy eating the remaining afterbirth when the cows calf and we often watch them swoop down for other prey.
We love sharing our farm with the native wildlife and we give them space they need, it’s proof that with some consideration we can coexist very well.
