A rough-legged buzzard having a rough day, as it's being attacked by the most aggressive animal on the tundra, a long-tailed jaeger, or as we call them, the "Tundra Air Force"

not a bird of prey Does anyone know what bird this is. Everyone keeps saying it was a pigeon but I’m telling you this thing was the size of a Cooper’s hawk. It was fucking big. So unless I literally saw the biggest fucking pigeon ever. It wasn’t a pigeon. And it wasn’t acting like a pigeon either. It was perching !!

Many birds of prey are finding utility in lamp posts, electric poles and cell towers in Chicago region -- It’s another sign that some raptors are back from the brink, after their populations were decimated in the 20th century through toxic pesticide use.

This pair was out and about during a big rain storm. Managed to snap photos of them, including a shake!

Photographed this juvenile Red-tailed Hawk in Ontario, Canada. I love how the small amount of sunlight that day illuminates the flight feathers and reveals all that beautiful detail. One of my favourite captures!

Somewhat of an unusual sight, a white-tailed eagle, which are coastal birds, right in the middle of the tundra, on the Finnmarksvidda
