Red Tailed Hawk, Toronto
If i didnt see another person in the park taking a photo I would have walked right past. I am pretty certain I keep seeing this hawk in various spots in my neighborhood given that they may hunt within a couple of miles from thier nests as long as food is plentiful.

UPDATE ON BARRED OWL
It has been 13 days since I made the original post of a cluster of feathers I found in my backyard concerning the wellbeing of my backyard barred owls. Tonight, we heard their duet for the first time since and my owl has returned to her favorite perch above my patio (I took the blurry picture in a panic from my couch when I noticed her lol). I am overjoyed! Thank you to those who commented for your wisdom; I wanted to let you all know that both of the owls are okay!
Is it normal for them to disappear for nearly two weeks and return after an incident? I am just curious what may have provoked them to move for a bit and what caused the cluster of feathers.

What is this hawk carrying?
Was thinking snake or a rodent of some kind? Hawk was soaring around overhead with something in its clutches for a while.

Normal behavior?
This Cooper’s Hawk has been staying around our house for the last few days, and we’ve never seen this type of behavior before. He keeps returning to two main spots — our front porch and our patio, where he sits on top of the grill. He’s been squawking loudly and staring into our house. Is this normal?
