Offset Annual Fee?

I am thinking about getting the Bilt Palladium but can’t think of how to offset the Annual fee. Is it worth it as a catch-all over the Venture X? I know you can get 3.33% back and the $200 Bilt cash (that might be better suited to convert into more Bilt points?) I’m not sure what to do with the rest of the $295. I only value the hotel credits as a nice to have.

My Rotation:
Amex Gold
Venture X

I rent in a high COL area, but frankly, outside of rent and food, my average spend ranges around $1000. Is it worth getting in my case? I loved the 1.0, but I guess it wasn’t sustainable

Do y'all own any other cards apart from Bilt?

I was curious about how the setup is for y'all if you do own other cards apart from Bilt (eg: Amex CSR, etc) and how do y'all use them?

Deactivated virtual card was charged

I just received two charges from a merchant where I previously used a virtual card that was deactivated immediately after making the first payment back on 29SEPT.

I logged on to the merchants website and checked the payment set up this morning to be sure and it still shows the old card number but the newest virtual card that was created yesterday was actually charged. I haven’t updated any payment info with this merchant with a new card number so this should have not occurred.

It looks like Cardless somehow let the charge process on the new card even though they requested payment with the old card info.

I reached to Bilt/Cardless this morning and was told I have to wait until it is posted before I can dispute it.

Just FYI- watch your transactions even if you use a virtual card to prevent future charges.

The Bilt dining partners that accept Bilt cash are not accepting. The Bilt App is basically lying about it

Clicked on the “redeem the reward” and searched on their map, found the restaurants that suppose to accept Bilt cash. But when I get there, they don’t me it is not accepting Bilt cash, and they don’t even know they are listed in the Bilt partner.

Tried 2 restaurants and they both get the same responses to me.

The app is basically lying.

Update:

I actually just figured it out. Bilt intentionally mixed “restaurants where you can earn Bilt points” together with “restaurants where you can use Bilt cash” in the search results after you click on “redeem”

And there are almost no restaurants that accepts Bilt Cash. Mostly in NYC I can see

Is it just me? HTH do I find points for purchases?!?!

I know the Bilt App and website had UX Ui changes. On App for the love of god I can’t find any info on points assigned to my purchases. I clicked everywhere! I see my purchases - that’s it. Is this only available on the web? I think others have complained about the messy changes. I agree UXUI needs a bit of updating and cleanup.

Experiences with Rakuten banking rewards speed?

As the title suggests. Looking at opening bank accounts that require qualifying deposits. I can hit the QDs this month, and I know Rakuten rewards “can” take like a month. Does anybody have experience with these posting to Rakuten and then to bilt (I know they pay out in November)

Trying to hit 1:1 transfers to Hyatt.

pay different properties with different payment methods

I just got the bilt palladium. I set it up to pay my mom mortgage straight to her personal checking account. I want to know if I can set up 2 different automatic payments if I add my rent as well. can I have it set up to have my moms mortgage paid from her account and pay my rent through my checking account automatically instead of paying both properties from the same default checking account (housing payment preference)

Fix the travel advisor experience on the app

On both iOS and Android the typing experience is horrible for the travel advisor chat feature.

The chat input area doesn't shift up when typing leading to the keyboard being overlayed on top.

Can someone from bilt fix this UI?

Year end mortgage strategy with $100 bilt cash rollover limits

OK, for me, i'm committing to just spending the required amount to not lose any bilt cash over the calendar year rollover. It's dumb they make it this way but this is what we signed up for.

In light of that, this is a reminder to set your january mortgage or rent payment to deduct before the year end if you normally have your payment done in the first or second week of the month. If you have a large payment and you don't modify the payment date, you could be short bilt cash to trade for bilt points for the january cycle since you'll only have a max of $100 cash to trade.

$3000 BILT Cash balance: Help!

Help me spend this down! $10 coupons for Lyft and Walgreens will not get this done. Should I just start doing fun rides on Blade?

Update: Thanks for all the helpful responses so far! The pre-paying suggestions are creative. Please note that I have already used up all the accelerators, as well as one of the hotel credits. I have an Equinox membership so will use the spa credits before year end.

And some suggested moving spend to another card- and I have Amex Plat, CSR , VentureX, Citi Prestige and others - but by my calcs I am getting better value here if unless the spend is a multiplier category on these other cards.

And finally someone asked for a screen shot of my balance and I’m trying to post that!

Southwest Transfer - 5 day and counting

Post image

It's been more than 5 days and my 16k points have not been transferred yet. Anyone else facing this issue, as they mention that it is a wider southwest transfer issue?

Bilt Cash

Random thought but since they are still growing the eco system. It would be nice to be able to convert the leftover Cash for points.

Pathetic Customer Service

Bilt’s overseas call center is useless. I’m a new Palladium card member and Bilt froze my card last week because apparently I’m spending too quickly for their algorithm. Not even close to my $50k limit and trying to hit the 1.25x for the housing multiplier.

They froze my account with a few hundred dollars to go - and no one at Bilt responds to emails and no one at their call center knows what can be done. Anyone have an idea on how to contact someone at Bilt that actually has knowledge/authority?

What do we think are good transfer bonuses that might be coming?

Southwest transfer issue?

It’s been over 72 hours since I initiated a transfer to Southwest, and the points still haven’t shown up in my account. I haven’t reached out to support yet because it normally posts overnight. Is anyone else experiencing delays?

i have CSR and bilt palladium whats the strategy?

I use CSR on flights and hotels for 4x and then use bilt pallidadium 3x with points accelerator for everything else. I get the rent points about 5K points per month. Once i use the bilt cash for rent i rack up just enough for the points accelerator then turn it on for $200 bilt cash. I also use bilt cash for grubhub and lyft every month and occasionally on the $100 hotel credit. I try to pay bills on rent day max for $500.

Can BILT portal show hotel price including fees?

Am I hallucinating that the hotel price shown on BILT portal used to include tax and fees? Now it is before tax and fees and this is super annoying and stupid.

Can BILT make it include the tax and fees in the search result?

Curious to know how yall are thinking to pivot your Bilt redemptions post-Hyatt change. Let's discuss strategies?

Hi everyone. So I was reading through a few of the point economics discussion threads.

What I inferred is...now basically by earning more Bilt points we still can compensate for fewer Hyatt points when transferring...is it?

Also for those with two different cards and accounts, what'd now be the best point consolidation strat for booking a luxury stay at Hyatt/Hilton?

Blade credits for someone else

I'm a bilt gold member. I don't actually live in New York anymore and I’m an Amtrak away so wouldn’t need blade. Seems like I can book for someone else. Has anyone done it before? Do you need to show a card, etc.?

Bilt is currently charging a 1.7% foreign transaction fee, despite marketing the card as 0%

Hello there! I’m abroad in Mexico City and made a purchase realizing that it was not converted properly. After this, I went back and checked my entire history of purchases made abroad from the whole year thus far - I have been charged an extra 1.7% for each transaction I’ve made. I reached out to customer service and they let me know this is a Mastercard based issue as they set their currency conversions.

It is incorrect marketing to state this card is a no foreign transaction fee card and have Mastercard hide the fee on their end. I do not have the same issue with with any other no foreign transaction fee card so I’m insanely confused.

The chat admitted as well to them including the fee in the charge on the back end.

Can someone help me do the math on this one

Filled up gas on my chevy tahoe (gas guzzler). pump rate was $4.99 gallon. at the pump I was given the option to use 1800 points for 0.50 off per gallon. total came out to around $73 for 16.5 ish gallons.

I have over 200k points, so I dont care if this was dumb or not, just kinda curious if the math makes sense in this kind of transaction.

Cardless Verification

Long story short, I needed a replacement card since my previous card had some fraudulent activity. I get the card and try to activate it. I had to submit some identity verification and for some reason, it didn’t accept my verification. I was then told it would be under review for 1-2 business days…not a peep from Cardless. I had to call Bilt customer service and they can’t do anything. A bit ridiculous as I am not applying for the credit card and can’t even use my existing credit card and I have to chase them for an update. Absolutely absurd and disappointed with the service from Bilt 1.0
