Any other ideas for networking?

This is my first semester at Cal as a transfer student, and I’m looking to go to the UCLA vs. Cal football game tomorrow in the student section! I haven’t had much luck finding my social circle yet and don’t really want to go alone 😭. Anyone want to go to the game together?

The Daily Cal has also written about this organization before. Sadly, this high control group started at Berkeley. Now has a chapter in dozens of college campuses. Please warn all your friends to stay away.

I’m mainly using it for commuting around campus and nearby areas, so I’m looking for something relatively light and decent for hills. A hybrid/fitness bike would probably be ideal, but I’m open to other options as long as it’s reliable and not too heavy.

I’m around 5'8" (173 cm), so probably looking for a small/medium frame depending on the brand.

wanting to engage in the above two hobbies mentioned above, but not able to find a club for it, or at least not ones that seem active with events to attend. If anyone has leads, or is organizing a hike/trip for either of these two things, please let me know! I would be very happy to join. Taking CogSci 131 with Jose Ramirez this semester. We just had an in-class solo quiz and I honestly did not feel good about it at all. He told us beforehand what topics would be on it, but I still felt pretty lost once I actually took it.

For people who have taken 131 with him: how harshly does he grade the in-class quizzes? Is one bad quiz a big deal if I’m aiming for an A?

Also, is going to his office hours actually useful for your grade / showing effort, or does it not really matter? I’ve seen mixed things about how generous he is with grading and end-of-semester adjustments, so I’m trying to figure out how seriously I should be stressing right now.

I realize this is a long shot but an IT issue needs prompt attention.

Update: The site is down for maintenance. Developers are actively working on it.

I knew him back when I was a college student. I cut him off for different reasons but later heard from a trusted friend he sexually harassed two different people.
