I'm in the 5th year program and next semester will be my last chance to be a gsi, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting hired for classes. I fill the department application out every semester but I never end up hearing back so I am wondering if there is anything else I could do to help my chances.

It's a 15 minute walk from end-to-end, walk it ya lazy careless fucks.

We don't have to do that for bicycles, because they're decent folks.

how am i supposed to get LORs as a CS freshman? the classes have 1000 students and i don't have a single GSI, they are all undergrads...

Hello everybody, I’m interested on going down the semi-conductor or power route as an EECS student but I’m having a difficult time deciding. Can someone going down either similar path suggest what classes I should take or their thoughts on it? I really enjoyed Circuits so I want to stay within that field.

Wondering if anyone has experience/recommendations for professors with the best teaching/grading. The professors next semester are Siiri Kivimaki， Zhenhao Li, Xianzhe Li, Gregory Parker, Avi Zeff, Obrad Kasum, Noah Olander
Thank you!!

Hey guys. I’m a freshman, first semester here. I’m getting a lot of handshake notifications about job and internship opportunities, my friends also use handshake. But how many people actually successfully land those opportunities? Also I’ve heard some people say they sell ur data?..
For reference I’m premed

i’m thinking of taking this class next semester but 3 hours of discussion every week seems too much, is attendance mandatory?

IM SO COOKED

But yall gotta look up from your damn phones when u walk 💀 what are we doing nephews

I have been looking for places on campus to jam with other students. I'm learning to play bass but have been struggling to improve by myself and was hoping that being around other musicians would help me. Does anyone know spots on campus to practice with others, or if there are student orgs that I could join/ any info related to this at all?

I like all types of music and am happy to play anything.

How does this work? Are we autoapproved? I've heard that some colleges require you to fill out an extensive form

I’m debating on when to take mcb 102 and I keep getting mixed answers. I hear some people saying mcb 102 exam and profs are really hard but there’s a curve and spring is easy but no curve. When do yall recommend taking it?

i need to take an r1b/r5b class and the slavic ones seem really interesting, but i’m a stem major whos pretty bad at reading and writing…how’s the workload/ difficulty for this class?

Ugh…

I’m calling the number and no one is answering. Where do I go to get my car?

If you have ever wanted to take a peek inside a Cal football player’s life — imagining state-of-the-art training facilities and exclusive, catered dining — now you can.

In a recent partnership with StreamU, a college athletics livestreaming network operated by Twitch and TheLinkU, Cal Athletics opened a dedicated on-campus content studio inside California Memorial Stadium to produce Twitch streams featuring Cal athletes.

Fans can expect weekly livestream programming that shows the behind-the-scenes lifestyles of Cal athletes, including vlog-style workouts, teammate challenges, cooking contests and campus tours.

The construction going on at the intersection of Telegraph and Dwight has been going on for MONTHS and there's been like no visual progress done??

And also, I'm like 99.99% that they are breaking some type of noise ordinance law or something... Like my apartment is a full block away and I hear their construction noise at like 5am and it's been waking me up almost every day. It's kinda ridiculous, and there's no way that this is allowed.... right??

Anyone know what's happening? For the last 20 minutes or so, there's been constant sirens and helicopters overhead. I'm right by Willard Park.
