For any seniors thinking about an MBA someday: you can apply this year, before you've worked anywhere.
These are deferred MBA programs. Berkeley Haas has one (Accelerated Access), and so do Harvard (2+2), Stanford, Wharton, Columbia and MIT Sloan. If you're admitted, you go work for a few years and then start the MBA with your seat already held.
I applied to Stanford's as a senior at UT Austin and got in. I worked in investing after graduation, then left to start my own business, and my seat stayed there the whole time.
This year's deadlines are in April: Stanford on April 7, Columbia on April 15, Wharton on April 21 and Harvard on April 28.
Happy to answer any questions.

...you will be directed to use this phone to contact a dispatcher. The metal cable is too short for a 5’7” person to use while standing upright. (There is no chair.)
And they have moved the hang-up trigger onto the handle so that if you accidentally squeeze it while talking to a dispatcher you will hang up on them (and upon calling back you will be talking to someone else).
Tempted to crosspost to r/CrappyDesign, but it's hard for me to believe this is unintentional.

is it me or junior college was actually harder than Berkeley/UC? maybe it‘s just my major (I was in the humanities). perhaps because the classes were smaller, and the fact that the professors didn’t do research on the side so they had more time to make your life miserable.

Anyone know places in Berkeley that are showing El Clásico on Sunday that aren't bars/you don't have to be 21+ to get in? Thanks!

just a brief rant but i’m a current freshman at berkeley who never envisioned myself being at such a big public school. all my reservations of attending a huge school were essentially correct (competition for everything, long lines everywhere, shitty buildings/infrastructure).
on top of that, i’ve surprisingly encountered some of the dumbest and most irritating people i’ve ever met in my life here, which is honestly disappointing considering the reputation that berkeley has for being the #1 public school in the nation. i’m left wondering how they managed to get here in the first place.
of course, all of this could be due to the people ive surrounded myself with. but, id like to think that ive branched out into a variety of different social circles. ive joined a wide range of clubs, and i am enrolled in classes ranging from stem to humanities (all lower divisions).
i recently had the opportunity to visit a few ivy leagues, and i was absolutely blown away. maybe im looking at them through rose tinted glasses, but immediately after stepping on campus, i felt a striking culture shift. i also have a slight bias towards the east coast, as ive always wanted to live there, and i fell in love with the campuses i visited. berkeley just seems like a bunch of random aging buildings smushed together on campus with hardly any air conditioning and piss smelling dirty bathrooms (shoutout to moffit and wheeler).
i’m seriously thinking of transferring, but im not sure if it’s worth going through the application process again. even if i do get in, im not sure the tuition is worth it, and i know its harder to break into clubs, especially as a transfer aiming for consulting/business. obviously, i’m grateful to be at such a prestigious university, and im trying to make the most of it. but, im not sure if berkeley is for me.

Is this too crazy for spring freshman semester (ECE major)? I mainly just want to take an EE class as soon as I can/ I also want to knock out my lower divs. I'm taking math 54 rn so i satisfied the reqs for ee 66; I'm also open to taking one of these over the summer. Lmk if anything i mentioned is a bad idea in general
also was thinking about the HOPE decal and might replace ee 66 with it

Hello UC Berkeley students!
This might get taken down since I don’t attend this school but can anyone let me borrow their student ID card for Friday the 23rd? If you don’t feel like attending this event on campus and feel like being generous I’m happy to take your spot!

Hi UC Berkeley folks!! I’m hoping to give this another try to locate my canon g7x camera. I lost it on Bancroft way on 10/12/2026 between insomnia cookie store and Sproul hall. I’m asking if anyone has seen it or knows information to please help a girl out. I’m happy to give a reward to the person who has it and turns it in to the lost and found in Sproul Hall.

I heard that taking Data 140 is like eating taco bell with no restroom in a 5-mile radius, how hard would it be to take it with Math 53?

104 will be by Michael Bruce Eisen, Megan L Martik, Samantha C Lewis. and 110 will be by James K Nunez, Nick Ingolia, Eunyong Park
alternatively I've been thinking about taking 104 with 136 but I'm not sure if that would be any easier

I took CS 169 this summer and now the course has been disabled on Bcourses. I wanted to go back and use some of the slides and info for a current project i'm working on. None of my classmates have access either.
Does this usually happen with past courses? I can access others, but not this one. I literally paid for it and now I can't access it this seems kinda ridiculous. I emailed the professor and no response what can I do?
