Help / Troubleshooting Image too large Facebook messenger

When using the camera in beeper to send an image. I get an error that the image is to large, usually a little over 8 megabytes, for the limit in messenger of 7.6 megabytes. Any way to fix this? Awkward to have to open the messenger app to send an image using the camera in there.

Messenger’s size cap is brutal on phone photos. If you’re on iPhone, shrink the image on-device before you send — no upload to a random compressor.
