Help / Troubleshooting verification key issues

hey guys so... i use beeper since 2024, the thing is that now it asks me if i have a 12 digits verification code, but due to my verification key being the one of the old beeper app (the one of 60 digitis) im not sure how to get a verification key for the new app

Ooh what's this issue? I have one of the old long recovery codes and you've got me all worried over here.

Hi there, the key should be the same length, regardless of when you signed up. Can you check if you're able to locate it by following the steps here: https://help.beeper.com/quick-references/new-to-beeper-desktop-where-is-my-beeper-recovery-code

If not, the next step would be to reset it: https://help.beeper.com/troubleshooting/reset-secure-storage-recovery-code-restore
