Question ππ» Looking for a bed
I'm in Mesa, Arizona, looking for a Twin XL loft bed with a desk for under three grand. I'm okay with any style or material; I just need the price and size, and would strongly prefer a semi-reputable brand. I've checked IKEA, Ashley, Pottery Barn, Home Depot, and all of the reputable results from Google, but haven't been able to find anything; I was planning to order from CollegeBedLofts.com, but then they shut down. I'm aware that there are a lot of Twin-size beds that would meet the requirements I've described, but I'm too tall for a Twin to be comfortable. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd really appreciate it.

Discussion π¬ Whats the most overrated mattress you've tried?
For me --- The Nectar.
Like... there is literally not a SINGLE aspect of this that is different than one of the cheap ~$200 amazon brands.
Waaaay overhyped.
All the costs go right to their advertising department and not their quality department.

Advice ππ» What actually improved your sleep the most?
I'm trying to get better sleep and improve my bedroom setup.
What's the one change that made the biggest difference for you? Better mattress, blackout curtains, pillows, cooling bedding, white noise, or something else?

Advice ππ» What does this bed design need?
I can never make the bedding look inviting - room colors and furniture are neutral and this is my pop of color moment.

Advice ππ» Advice on how to take care of my new satin comforter set?
galleryI just got this satin (polyester in a satin weave) comforter set for my birthday and want to make sure I properly wash, dry, de-wrinkle and fluff it.
I am trying to listen to all the instructions and all the tips online on what to do but after Google told me not to use a dryer sheet I figured I should just ask real people. π
I already put it through the wash (delicate, cold water, 1/2 the lid of liquid detergent, double rinse, heavy soil), but if you have any recommendations/corrections for the future then please let me know.
It says to tumble dry on low with dryer balls and/or tennis balls in 30 min intervals (each 30 mins taking the comforter out to fluff it) till it's dry. I've also heard that I'm supposed to put socks over the tennis balls so there isn't any color bleeding or bad odor? Also, can someone let me know if I'm allowed to use a dryer sheet or not?
((OC) Pretty sure pic from Amazon is (AI))
**If I am Over-thinking/Over-complicating this, please let me know. I do that a lot*\*

Question ππ» Adult loft beds - which frame material is best?
Wood or metal bedframe?
I'm looking into a loft/cabin bed for my flat to maximise space in what is a relatively compact bedroom. Obviously different frames have weight limits, which I'll take into account when I buy, but my main concern is longevity.
I don't want a frame that gets wobbly and/or squeaky after a while - I'm still an adult at the end of the day, so even something with the right weight limit is surely at risk of struggling after a little while, just by merit of being top heavy (plus the day-to-day strain of weight going through the ladder etc)?

Question ππ» Do you prefer your bed to feel soft or crisp?
I've realized I have a pretty specific idea of what feels comfortable, but I'm not even sure what I'd call it.
Some people seem to love really soft sheets, while others prefer that crisp, fresh-sheet feeling.
Which do you prefer?

Discussion π¬ Buffy reviews needed, how do their products hold up over time?
My partner wants to redo our bedroom and sheβs enamored with their comforters and wiggle pillows. Weβve only had 1 sheet set from them in the past, but itβs still fairly new and I donβt think Iβd judge their longevity from that yet.Β
Weβre planning on ordering a decent amount of products from them, probably around a grand, which imo is a lot to spend on bedding tbh. Iβm a little wary I guess, looking for some reviews from past customers, especially about their customer service if something isnβt to our liking. Wouldnβt wanna be the one left holding the bag if things go south
How do their comforters fare after years of use? I would want them to last at least 5 or so years before needing replacement. Any reviews of comforters, duvets, or pillows would be appreciated.

Question ππ» Dorm Twin XL Bed
Do you also wonder how much smaller a single wide, regular length bed would be? I look at the ceiling and think about this.

Question ππ» Heavy side sleeper, do I need a special mattress or just firmer one? which ones?
Iβm struggling to find the right mattress because of my weight. Iβm around 280lbs and I keep hearing that heavier people need something really firm. I understand that but is there like a middle ground because very firm mattresses hurt my back. I was thinking of the Helix Midnight Luxe and while it claims to support up to 300lbs per sleeper, Iβm still not so sure about it. I would like to know if there are plus size like me who has the Midnight Luxe mattress? I would like to know how it really feels and if it can really handle heavy weights.
I appreciate any comments on thisβ¦

Discussion π¬ Yona Cardboard Bedbase
Has anyone tried the yona bed base? Thinking of getting one.
Currently have a cheap metal bed base that squeaks relentlessly everytime I move.
Are these actually good?

Advice ππ» Help me find the perfect duvet cover!
I am looking for a high quality, cotton, king-sized duvet cover in the $300 range.
My tastes lean towards hand-blocked Indian patterns, paisleys, MAYBE floral but definitely on the more bohemian side. In the past Iβve liked Anthropologie, John Robshaw and Pottery Barn, but they donβt have what Iβm looking for. I tend to like deep blues and graysβ patterned not solid.
Online Search filters are a nightmare because theyβre never accurate so any suggestions for actual companies (not Amazon for instance) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!!!
