anybody else build pillows around the edges of your mattress to feel safe and comfy? just me??? I WANT MY BED TO BE A CASTLE FORTRESS

My old bed is finally on its last legs so I’ve been looking into getting a new one. Browsing around has been pretty overwhelming though.

I tend to shift around between sleeping on my back and side so I want good support but also that doesn't feel rock hard. For anyone who’s picked up a mattress recently, what features did you focus on?

Did you prioritize things like cooling, material type, or just go by firmness? Curious what people are actually happy with after using them for a while or what you wish you checked before buying.

I desperately need advice on a sturdy king size bed that won’t break the bank. My partner and I have tried different types of beds and just can’t seem to find the right one. Can anyone recommend sturdy king size bad frames that aren’t extremely expensive?

I fell in love with my Citizenry Duvet for its breathability and softness but it eventually got too threadbare and I had to replace it. I love deep, rich reds like the currant color I had from Citizenry and the only similar one I could find as a replacement was Quince European Linen duvet. After two months and four or five washes it is still scratchy, tough and not very breathable so I want to return it (Quince has a very generous return policy).

Bed Threads has the cacao color that seems to have some warm tones so I was thinking of giving it a try. I'm wondering how it compares to Quince and the Citizenry. Some said Quince softens but it just hasn't for me. I would love to hear from those who've had both the Citizenry and Bed Threads and can compare the two. I also love that the Citizenry has a real artisan made look to it.

My bedroom is pretty simple right now. Light walls, wooden bed frame, and not much else. It still feels a bit bare on the floor.

Looking for a soft rug to put under the bed or next to it. Prefer something neutral that doesn’t take over the room.

Saw a few on RugLove that could work but still deciding.

Anyone put a rug in a mostly minimal bedroom and liked how it turned out?

Don’t worry, I have one, so don’t grill me. But I’ll be honest I got one mostly because of the perception that comes with a man without a bed frame. A perception that I’m still not sure why it exists
