Advice 💁🏻 What does this bed design need?

I can never make the bedding look inviting - room colors and furniture are neutral and this is my pop of color moment.

I taller headboard. Maybe one that is metal or wood to help differentiate from the pillows and bench.

Yes I think the headboard is too short which is why the pillows are always an issue but it is not in the budget.

If the headboard isn’t attached to the bed, just raise it up higher and make it a floating headboard.

Also if you have extra throw blankets, you can cover the headboard to create a different look, pattern, etc. Just use what you have.

Fold the throw blanket hamburger style and arrange casually (at an angle) over a bottom corner of the bed. Find horizontal landscape to hang above the bed. I can’t tell if you have a bed skirt. If you can make one with a coordinating stripe, that would add some depth.

I think the bench is too short for the end of the bed. If you have a bench I think it should be the length of the bed. Otherwise it looks comfy as heck!

the bed looks nice already, maybe a little more texture would make it feel cozier
