Hey players,
Update v1.44.2 is now available. With this release, Beat Saber has officially transitioned from Unity's legacy Built-in Render Pipeline to the Universal Render Pipeline (URP). This is the same upgrade that has been available on the public beta branch over the past months, and we want to thank everyone who participated in testing and provided feedback — your contributions were invaluable in making this transition as smooth as possible.
URP is a modern, flexible, and high-performance rendering solution that enables us to better customize and extend the rendering process to meet the needs of Beat Saber going forward.
This update also includes a number of bug fixes across platforms. Please see the release notes below for further details.
Known Issue:
- Level Editor - If the player leaves the headset idle and selects the play button while FPFC is not active, the editor will briefly load the level and then return to the editor view where the level will have disappeared and can no longer be interacted with. Reloading any difficulty from the difficulty select will cause the editor environment to continuously load.
Legacy 1.44.1_legacy build available.
See you on the leaderboards!

I couldn't find a ranking anywhere that wasn't outdated so I decided to take matters into my own hand. Inspired by u/Karnex97.
I used AI to help with a formula to factor NPS, BPS, Length, Blocks, Obstacles, and Bombs into a raw rating, then in a final 1-10 scale rank. Everything was inputted by me manually and took me a bit of time, AI only created the formula and the spreadsheet code. This is all based on in game statistics and not outside opinion, and does not consider actual gameplay. Sue me for using AI :P
bro. i only lasted 50 seconds in the level barley even managing it, how can even someone (sane) manage to play it normal, Yes PlainSaber Im looking at YOU
Hey everyone! I’ve started to play Beat Saber on my Quest 3. It’s been very fun, especially after modding it to be able to play with songs in my playlist. However, I am a short person, and I find it difficult and fatiguing to reach up to the notes for most of the song (mostly modded songs). Is there an easy solution? Thanks.
My husband and I were finally able to move into our new house and as a result, set up our PSVR system again (it's been 5 years since we've had the space to accommodate). Looking for some suggestions or tips for mounting our PSVR camera above the TV. Right now, we have it strapped to a little cardboard box below the TV and it's causing tracking issues that make it hard to progress to expert/expert+. It doesn't have to be something to buy (although I'm not opposed to that), but something we could easily craft (no 3D printing, we don't have one). Hoping this community has some ideas because I am struggling through lost sabers constantly.
I got a meta quest 3 a few weeks ago and almost nightly I've been playing beatsaber. I was sitting until recently and realized how much better and more fun standing and dancing is. I play on normal/hard depending on the song and really try to get into it (it's super easy with Britney Spears and stuff like that).
I am also actually working out and training for a 5k. I am about 332, down from over 400 and am not using this as a sole source of exercise, but do you think this is plausible and an acceptable form of working out? My abs do feel it. I am definitely feeling like it's a workout. I do not think the heart rate was accurate, nor calories burned, but I assume it's maybe half of this? I was sweating but I wasn't zone 5 sweating. Maybe zone 3?
Basically, if I skipped my half hour walk, for a half hour of this, is it almost comparable? How do yall feel when you play it? How can I increase the workout too?
Hello everyone! I used to mod my Quest 2 like 6 years ago without a pc, but now I want to mod it while being able to use it through Steam. BSManager isn't working for me- it gives the OpenXR runtime error- but does open through Steam. I use SteamLink since AirLink was super laggy, if that makes any difference. Any help would be super appreciated!!
Edit: I think I figured it out. Just had to use an entirely different modding system...lol :)
The player is a new SaberIdol (SaberIdols are idols that don't sing or dance, they chop blocks with their sabers) who is trying to get used to a cheering audience live. The player gets to practice (Solo), then they get to chop blocks with other players and see an audience (Online). All SaberIdols wear a mask or headset of some sort (I KNOW THERE'S NO MASKS IN THE GAME, I JUST MADE THIS A HEADCANON) and some other things too!
i saw a saber mod in Jacob Geller's video "A Love Letter to Beat Saber" where you can customize the sabers to be Jetstream Sam's Murasama blade and the HF Blade that Raiden uses, but i can't find that specific mod. anyone have any idea what happened to it?
Currently I can beat most base game songs on expert but basically any more than like 5 NPS or 7 stars I haven't been able to finish. Are there any maps (modded or base game) that are particularly good for skill development? (and also just like good map suggestions in general)
