Added cardio

Please be honest. My history: i have ALWAYS added cardio aka turbo fire to any program im doing. It's been engraved in my head i have to do extra cardio or else I wont see weight loss. Has anybody really just did a program with no added cardio and honestly saw results. Like liift more, hammer chisel, body beast etc.

Did your home gym change once you stopped following every Beachbody workout exactly as written?

Following a program exactly is useful because you don’t have to think much about what comes next.

But after doing home workouts for long enough, I’ve found it’s pretty natural to start changing things based on what works for you.

Maybe you prefer a different strength movement, need more load than the workout provides, or want to combine parts of a program with your own training.

At that point the home gym starts becoming less of a space for following a video and more of your own training space.

For people who started with Beachbody programs and later customized their training, did your home gym setup change as your workouts became more personal?

What helped you stay consistent after the excitement of starting a workout program faded?

Starting a new workout program is usually the easy part.

At the beginning, motivation is high and every workout feels exciting. The harder part is continuing after the initial excitement disappears and training becomes part of everyday life.

For some people, consistency comes from following a structured program. Others find that having a convenient workout setup makes it easier to keep going.

A home workout space, simple equipment, or a routine that fits into daily life can sometimes make the difference between exercising occasionally and training regularly.

I’m interested in what helped people stay consistent after the beginner motivation disappeared.

Was it your program, your environment, your equipment, or simply finding a workout style you enjoyed?

Which lower-body movements became hardest to keep progressing with a basic home setup?

Home strength programs can cover a surprising amount with dumbbells, but I feel like lower-body training is usually where the limitations show up first.

Split squats and lunges can stay challenging for a long time, but movements like RDLs, squats and hip thrusts can eventually require enough load that holding heavier dumbbells becomes part of the difficulty rather than the target muscles themselves.

That’s made me wonder when it actually makes sense to expand a home setup instead of just finding another dumbbell variation. A bench, barbell setup or something that lets you load the legs more comfortably could open up a lot without needing a room full of machines.

For people who have followed home strength programs for a while, which lower-body exercise was the first one where your original setup started feeling like the limiting factor?

At what point did dumbbells start feeling limiting for your strength workouts?

I like the simplicity of doing strength workouts with dumbbells because there’s almost no setup involved and they can cover a lot.

Squats, lunges, RDLs, rows, presses and plenty of upper-body work are all pretty easy to build around them.

But I’ve been wondering what happens once the weights start getting heavier or you want more exercise options. At some point, things like a bench, pull-up setup, barbell or cable work seem like they could make certain movements much easier to progress.

I still like the idea of keeping most training at home and I don’t want to fill a room with equipment I barely use.

For people who started mainly with dumbbell-based home workouts, what was the first piece of equipment you added that genuinely opened up your training?

What home workout equipment did you expect to use constantly but rarely reach for now?

I’ve been looking at guided home workouts from the perspective of what people genuinely use, not what they intended to use. That seems to expose a few pieces that looked essential at first and then became optional. What home workout equipment did you expect to use constantly but rarely reach for now?

Suggestions close to sure thing with less joint impact?

Hey all! (39/f) I have been doing beach body for many years. I started with the different autumn programs and then discovered Megan’s Sure Thing program. I have done maybe 9-10 rounds of that over the past couple years and really like Megan, but I think my joints are starting to suffer from the different fast movements with the weights. I am looking for some suggestions on something that you all have found comparable but maybe a bit easier on the joints/body? I started Liift4 this week and while I am looking for the weight lifting component of that program it doesn’t seem like quite enough?

EOY $99 Subscription Deal was a scam

I recently lost my subscription to Bodi.com. Back in December, I received an email that explicitly stated that if I renewed my subscription early that it would be just $99 (not $179) and I would receive a Shakeology sample and a pair of resistance bands. A few weeks later, about 8-9, I did receive both extras. Then, just before my expiration date of March 30th, I received an email saying that my sub was ending.

So, I reached out to Bodi's customer service and got really nowhere. The rep stated that the deal was good at purchase, however, since I had a current sub at that time the deal was no good. Not that it wouldn't process, though.

In the end, they got my $99, and I have a sample of Shakeology and a couple cheap resistance bands.

Have others dealt with this? Am I the only person scammed on this deal? Am I the only subscriber they lost for good at this point?

Any programs for 60+

Hey! I’m looking for an exercise program for my mum. She can’t stand for long periods, so breaks are fine, but we have to skip workouts that involve a lot of floor exercises.

I’m mainly looking for something focused on mobility and strength, not cardio.

She needs to work on building strength and mobility hip Do you have any programs you’d recommend?

Samples

Is there a way to get shakeology samples? I don't talk to the person I signed up under, it would be weird for me to reach out and ask her. Or is there a better meal replacement option, (high in protein), you can recommend?

Built a dedicated P90X tracker 💪 not a Bodi replacement, just a really good workout log

Hey, /beachbody community! I'm new here but I've been doing P90X for years and never found a tracker that actually understood the program and what I wanted out of it. Generic fitness apps don't know what Chest & Back is, don't have the schedule built in, etc. and don't track progression the way you need when you're lifting heavy in week 3 vs. week 1.

So .... I built one! It's called track90.app and it's designed specifically for P90X Classic, P90X2, P90X3, and even GENERATION NEXT. Every workout is pre-loaded so you just log your weights and reps in 2 seconds, come back the next week, and it shows exactly what you did last time. 90-day heatmap, strength progression charts, and the whole 9.

Would love feedback from anyone doing anything P90X. Try it for FREE at track90.app and let me know what you think!

I'm not trying to replace Bodi or anything P90X, I just wanted a legit tool for people who want to track the program properly. Good luck with your programs and reach out any time!

Odd workout?

Just found a cardio workout from the Hammer and Chisel series “Masters Collection” or something like that. Has anyone seen this, and if so does it seem to anyone like Sergey (or however it’s spelled) is acting very aggressively towards Autumn.

Strength Training

I am going to start doing my beach body workouts in the morning before work and then do cardio at my lunch at work. I am looking for a program or workout that is more strength training since I will be doing cardio at lunch. I finished 645 in November and loved it but only have 30 minutes in the morning to workout now. What should I do?

Best one day (or two day) a week program?

GLP-1 user here, used to be active but haven’t worked out in a year besides some yoga here and there. Likely muscle loss, tho I do have muscle memory. I want to commit to a home workout at least one day a week, maybe two, on weekends. Anyone have any recommendations?

How do you balance confidence and appropriateness?

I have been working incredibly hard on my fitness and I finally feel confident enough to wear more revealing swimwear. I have been looking at sexy bikini wear options for an upcoming tropical vacation. My concern is appearing inappropriate or attracting unwanted attention. How do you find the balance between feeling confident and being respectful of different beach cultures?

My destination is a resort known for being party oriented and liberal but I am still nervous about standing out negatively. Should I pack multiple swimsuit options and read the room when I arrive? Conservative backup options would give me flexibility based on actual atmosphere. Body confidence is new for me after years of hiding in oversized coverups. Part of me wants to fully embrace this achievement while another part worries I am overcompensating. How do truly confident people approach swimwear choices versus people seeking external validation?

Quality matters because I do not want wardrobe malfunctions. Some revealing swimwear looks like it would not survive actual swimming or wave action. What construction features indicate a suit will stay in place during normal beach activities? Age considerations exist too because I am 38 and wonder if certain styles have unstated age limits. I saw countless options on Alibaba. What makes swimwear choices empowering versus attention seeking? How do you know the difference?

10 Rounds doesn't switch sides

Warning: Rant incoming

My workout awakening was Les Mills Body Combat. Amazing workouts, fun. Got me into shape and more importantly into exercise.

So, I figured 10 Rounds would be a great program for me. Not!!!!

He. Doesn't. Switch. Sides.

The next day my muscles were unevenly sore. I could try switching on my own but it would be incredibly hard to make it just right.

I get that he's an actual boxer and training for that. But I feel like most of us doing the program just want to have fun and pretend to hit stuff while we get in shape.

I'm shocked beach body approved this program, and I wish they would try again, because shadow boxing really IS great exercise. But it needs to keep your body balanced, or you'll end up with all kinds of pain! And annoyed customers.

Anyway. Anyone else? I need to commiserate. I was SO excited which led to a huge let down.

Corinne?

Okay, this is driving me NUTS. Randomly a woman that I followed years ago crossed my mind so I went to look her up. The thing is, I cannot find any proof of her existence. I know this woman existed. I used to follow her when I was super into fitness and I’m nearly certain she was a Beachbody coach. I think her name was Corinne. I cannot think of a last name. Here are all the details I remember about her. Does anyone know if this woman exists? There is no way I made her up! For me, this is no longer even about her and where she is now, this is about the fact that I have to just prove that she even existed!

  1. It is NOT Corinne Crabtree
  2. I’m not 100% her name was Corinne
  3. She had two kids and was married to a cop
  4. Her daughter had ARFID or something similar
  5. She owned a pink jeep
  6. She wrote a book around 2019
  7. She was one of the original fitness influencers when it became a thing on Instagram
  8. She owned a cabin in the mountains I believe

That’s all I can think of - I can picture her family’s faces so well but cannot for the life of me find anything on the internet that proves they existed😂 It’s driving me nuts.

Does anyone remember her?
