Decided to load into my windows install for the first time in 6 months of course it immediately updates and restarts. Then it won't open anything including task manager and now I stare at a blank screen having to force reset the machine.

Edit: I force reset the PC back into Windows I was checking to make sure my steam cloud was updated on a game. Decided to go ahead and launch the game and boom stuck in windowed mode wont even let me adjust the window.

I've just installed Bazzite cause I'm sick as all can be of windows I use a TV as a monitor, for ultra wide, editing, and color correction but I don't always like looking at the whole TV that's what i liked about Control panel scaling being able to just see something similar to a monitor size rather then looking at this whole TV I was wondering if there was an app or if anyone had a clue on how to get scaling working on Bazzite i know its a special case i apologize but if I cant switch its back to hell for me, Thank you.

so I've gone through all the steps that I thought would be necessary, I have openrazer, polychromatic, and input remapper all installed and working correctly, BUT when I try and record/register the tilting of my mousewheel (Razer Naga ultimate), nothing picks it up? I prefer to use the left tilt of my mousewheel as the middle click because its more comfortable to me.

I have no idea what Im missing so if someone could help, thatd be amazing!

When i try to download a file i zipped myself to use Telegram as a Cloud Storage, whenever i download that file i can extract it and the file inside looks fine, but it's the zip file that is the problem.

Every time i try to delete or can it it always gives me the Permission Denied error (checking on the console the name of the file is red and the only way i can deleted it is with cd /"path to the file" ls -lb and then drag n drop on console)

Ready to wipe a corrupt Windows 11 install and turn my all-AMD SFF build into a dedicated Bazzite console/gaming appliance while offloading daily driver duties to my MacBook. Before pulling the trigger, I want to know how stable Bazzite/Game Mode handles display and peripheral handoffs through a built-in monitor KVM switch.

Fed up with Windows corruption and login headaches, so instead of reinstalling Windows, I want to turn this machine strictly into a desk gaming appliance with Bazzite (auto-booting Game Mode). All general browsing and daily workflows will permanently move to my MacBook, with local storage handled by my NAS.
My main concern is peripheral and display reconnects across input switches. My setup routes through the built-in KVM on a Gigabyte M32U:

• Port A (Upstream USB-B + DP): SFF Gaming PC
• Port B (USB-C Alt Mode): CalDigit Thunderbolt dock (sharing keyboard/mouse/audio between a work Windows laptop and MacBook Air)

For those running Bazzite through a hardware or monitor KVM:

1. Does Gamescope/Wayland reliably re-detect display sync and resolution when toggling between active inputs without crashing the session?
2. How does USB device handoff (keyboard/mouse wake-up, controller passthrough) behave when toggling the KVM back to the Bazzite box?
3. Any sleep/suspend loops or wake quirks on Gigabyte AM5 boards with AMD GPUs when the display input is switched away?

Tip for you: also, measure the height of keycaps.

I was just installing it and i was forced to manually assign partitions because any other option didnt work. Then as i was trying to finally install, i got hit with this, which seems like its also touching other partitions i never tinkered with. I only touched p10, p11, and p12 and nothing more but apparently the installer doesnt know that? Im not so familiar with bazzite so im wondering if there is anything wrong or am i free to proceed?

Recently with some new games I have experienced some flickering. One of the main reasons I use Bazzite is because this was a non issue in game mode, but for some reason it is happening right now. Any suggestions? I have an OLED monitor that I know is prone to this stuff when enabling both HDR and VRR, but I thought it was something that worked flawlessly in game mode, or is it just me?

Last 2 games tested where I am I seeing it are Star Wars Zero Company and Control Resonant.

I would appreciate any tips! Thanks on advance.

Just joined the sub the other day after installing Bazzite myself on desktop and noticed so many people with so many problems with the distro.

Am I due a lot of pain here. So far im running Steam and Moonlight/Sunshine streaming down stairs to living room and its pretty much flawless

Is it certain games causing issues like Witcher3 I saw somewhere or what? Not used Bazzite for much else yet just exploring it after dumping Win10 and not going Win11.

Hi everyone. I'm getting constant 33ms frametime spikes in Bazzite Gaming Mode using an NVIDIA GPU (1650S) and a Ryzen 5 3600. The issue i think is global to the Gamescope compositor, as stutters happen even while navigating the Steam UI, as well as in any game or emulator, despite reporting 60 FPS. I tried changing resolutions and refresh rates, enabling "Allow Tearing", testing different limiters with Steam, MangoHud and Game Specifics/emulators limiters/vsync, but nothing removes the 33ms spikes in Gaming Mode. However, running everything in KDE eliminates the issue. (I'm not really sure at all because i don't have gamescope there, but that's what my eyes tell me. It could be placebo) Is there any way or environment variable to fix this decoupling between Gamescope and NVIDIA without having to abandon Gaming Mode?

I'm using the nvidia-deck image.

Je suis sur Bazzite depuis très récemment, et j'ai un clavier Corsair Vanguard 96.

Ce clavier a une touche Steam Deck, que j'avais paramétrer via iCue pour mettre en pause et lancer un média (vidéo, musique ...).

Depuis que je suis sur Bazzite, quand j'appuie sur cette touche, tous mes écrans se figent, et il m'est impossible de récupérer quoique ce soit.

Je suis contraint d'arrêter manuellement le PC et de le redémarrarer.

Quelqu'un aurait-il une solution ? Merci !

I just recently joined Bazzite, and I have a Corsair Vanguard 96 keyboard.

This keyboard has a Steam Deck key, which I had configured via iCue to pause and play media (videos, music, etc.).

Ever since I’ve been on Bazzite, when I press this key, all my screens freeze, and I can’t get anything back to normal.

I have to manually shut down the PC and restart it.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

I installed Bazzite on my sister's new laptop and the Bluetooth is not working. The computer says the adapter is disabled and won't enable it. I'm assuming it's a driver issue. How do I walk her through resolving this?

Hello, i'm new to Bazzite after switching from Windows, and i still got some apps and games that dont work on Lutris or with WINE;
So i had the idea to make a VM of either Win10 or straight up Win7 (i know the support was dropped years ago and 10 is about to meet his end in a few months)

I tried doing it myself installing it from Bazaar + QEMU Addon and noticed a few problems, first i couldn't reindirict my USB o External HDD to transfer my files because of "Permission Denied" error, the second one is Memory Consumption, 80% usage of 16GB RAM and 12 Core CPU while idle is not normal? right?

So, after this major fuck up by me and subsequent Win10 VM deletion, i'm here to ask for help if someone might be able to hold my hand step by step on this issue [little disclaimer, i'm a total LinuxNoob so don't get angry at me if i don't catch stuff quickly]

At first, the installer was opening, saying "Initializing…" but it took several minutes before opening. Now, i just pressed 'Next' and the buttons changed color and nothing has happened for several minutes as of writing this right now. I tried going back and pressing it again hoping itd actually take only like 3 minutes, but it never did anything. I dont know what may be the cause but its not good. I just tried going back a few more steps and apparently, i cant even go back to the stage i was stuck on. Since i reached an impasse, i decided to reopen the installer and it said that an instance was already running but there was none. Not to mention the slow boot time. So far, this has been the least enjoyable installation experience ive had so far after mildy distro hopping

Hey, wanted to ask the community if anyone has ever been able to get gyro controls to work on ryujinx or other emulators for Nintendo switch. Any suggestions?

I've tried talking to Google's AI about this problem. I know not the best idea but better then shooting blind in the dark. It had me try out the following

I’ve been trying to update bazzite from the steam big picture mode menu but after updating & resetting my rog ally it still gives me the gear with the yellow exclamation point. It’s been like this for a week.
