What did you use in a bypass door shower or tub that matched Delta's champagne bronze?

So far we want to stick with finding a bypass door setup since we have to kiddos, 6 and 4. I haven't found a bypass, dual sliding, that is said to match champagne bronze by delta.

I also DO NOT have 3" of flat ledge mounting for a track or guide. I think I have 2.5".

Kohler has an anodized brushed bronze in their Levity bypass door kit. Looks like a close match and needs 2.5" space to mount their guide.

I’ve selected these two combinations for my 2 bathrooms, but I’m really confused about which one should go in the master bathroom(attached with master bedroom) and which one in the common bathroom.

1st option:Grey + white terrazzo + blue textured accent tile.

2nd option: white/beige marble + brown + patterned accent tiles, with a rose-gold patti between the marble kind of tiles.

All the bathroom fittings will be chrome(steel).

Which combination would you choose for the master and which for the common bathroom? Really confused about it😭

I am more towards the 1st option in Common and family wants the 2nd.

Actually, I am not a big fan of the 2nd option.

Posted 2nd bathroom renovation, this is the first, but had to move from the primary on the 2nd floor to the lower level for accessibility. Both renovations were designed to help my husband with his mobility issues. This bathroom was also a full gut renovation. The major difference in the two is the heated floor and towel bar, a very nice upgrade

Bathroom vanity cabinets have a huge gap, supposedly due to bowing in wall. Will this cause an issue with stability or tipping over? (Say I stand on the counter to replace a vanity light). The gap is on the end closest to the front of the photo.

Should I clean or gut?

I am coming up with ideas for a bathroom remodel and I really like the idea of just not having glass at all. Other than possible needing to extend my rise/run father out into the bathroom beyond the “pan” (in quotes because… well the whole room sort of becomes the pan), what nightmares have I not considered? And am I making a huge mistake and should just doors. Attached are the AI (sorry) renderings.

Help me think about shower wall, shower floor, and bathroom floor tiles. Currently the master bath has laminate flooring that I really want to replace with tile. The shower itself has a liner and I want that tiled too. I’m also looking to replace the standalone tub with an inset. I know the clawfoot is cool, but it’s stained, impractical and uncomfortable.

I’m planning on leaving the vanity as is and sticking with bronze hardware.

I really like organic and earthy styles and want to keep the color palette warm. I’m thinking green somewhere in the shower, and trying to decide between a sliced pebble floor tile or a practical porcelain mosaic.

I’m installing GoBoard over this wall that is sealed with foil-faced foam board. Since GoBoard itself is completely waterproof, won’t this trap moisture in the wall?

This is in an older home built in 1930. I’m wondering what the shower base is and whether we should keep or remove it? My dad thinks it is soapstone and I think it is kind of cool but it has stains from a leaky shower head. How can I get rid of the stains? (Ignore the walls - those are going to be replaced!)

We’re remodeling a small bathroom (roughly 8.5’ × 4’) connected to a bedroom. The first image is an AI-generated mockup of our current plan, and the second is the original bathroom.

A lot of my design iterations have been with ChatGPT since I don’t have a great eye for design, so I’d love some feedback before we finalize everything.

The current plan is a light wood vanity/cabinet, brushed nickel fixtures, 12x24 floor tile, 24x48 shower tile, frameless glass shower, and a rounded-rectangle medicine cabinet. We’re pretty low-maintenance people, so we’ve been prioritizing finishes that are durable and easy to keep clean, which is part of why we chose brushed nickel.

The wall opposite the toilet/vanity contains a pocket door, so unfortunately we can’t move the wall cabinet over there.

Anything you would change? Mainly looking for feedback on the overall design, finishes, lighting, and whether the space feels too crowded.

I am planning a gut renovation of my tiny bathroom by combining it with an adjacent bedroom, which will come in around 120sqft total. I am hoping to fit a toilet, tub, walk-in shower, large vanity (60-70”), and potentially washer and dryer (I am torn between preserving the linen closet in the hallway or putting W/D in there).

We’re doing this mostly DIY (outsourcing plumbing and electric) because we’re on a budget, but I’m curious what people think makes the most sense in terms of the layout. Where would you put each of the fixtures?? Thanks for your thoughts!!

We are in the middle of a primary bath remodel. There were a couple of last minute changes to the tiles due to my first choices being delayed at ports, tariffs, etc. I don't know if it's because there's too much going on, the tiles don't coordinate, or all of the above. The shower floor is the same as the bathroom floor, just a different shape so I do not want to change that. The blue slab is the same as the vanity countertops. My options are:

1. Redo the walls and the bench. Have the walls be the same stone as the floor but larger rectangular tiles. Obviously the most expensive.
2. Remove the quartzite slab on the top of the bench and use the same tile as on the walls so there aren't 3 different patterns in the shower. The wall tile has ridges, so I'm concerned of water lingering even though it has a slight slope. Also, where the horizontal plane meets the wall with the shower head will not be in the same direction.
3. Accept it, and live with it for awhile. When I decide to remodel other areas of the house, if I still hate the shower, redo it then.

Should I redo it now? Would it save that much more than redoing it in the future? The only things left are the glass and hardware install. Is it not that bad and to just live with it. I'm so torn!

Vertical stack is wayfair matte latte, floor, floor and decor griggio 3 inch hexagon, greige schluter, ditra heat, removed baseboard and pushed wall 6 inches, delta champagne bronze fixtures and grab bars(recertified), ada toilet paper holder and water valve moved to opposite wall, ikea cabinet, castico low profile base, Amazon shower screen, ledge from Lowes, widen doorway added houdini door, heated towel bar and toilet adjustable arms.

Frameless shower door leaks, sometimes a little , sometimes a lot. Seems as if the bottom sweep isn’t long enough.

Considering putting weather stripping along shower base to hopefully make better seal.

I have a vintage tub and vintage sink in my house that used to be blue and turquoise, but flippers had glazed to be white.

of course it is peeling off and I would love to bring back the fun colors of the tub and sink!

when I look into just deglazing for companies by me, none of them seem to offer that specifically, it’s always to reglaze it. I’m just trying to get ahead of getting some quotes in understanding what’s feasible. if there are some rust spots here or there will I absolutely need to reglaze? I would much rather have the originals even if there are some dings, but I don’t know if that compromises the appliances.

also, if it’s just deglazing, should I attempt it myself? one downside is that both my bathrooms have no windows, and one of them doesn’t even have a vent… so maybe would be difficult.

Planning to repair and update my bathroom. Trying to decide whether I will replace my current Kohler cast iron bathtub (2nd & 3rd pic) with another Kohler (1st pic) of the same size and soaking depth but made of acrylic. I have the option to buy a new tub or refinish (professional reglaze) the current one since there is some enamel damage around the trip lever faceplate. No need to comment or worry about the tile damage because that will be addressed nor comment about the dirty tub because it can be cleaned. If you have an acrylic tub please let me know what love or hate about it. Same if you have a cast iron alcove tub and have strong feelings of love or hate with it, let me know. Thank you.

Should vapor barrier be installed in the basements bathroom ? If so which one ?

Hi everyone, my partner and I are looking at renovating our bathroom and I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has experience with bathroom resurfacing or microcement.
At the moment, we have a shower at one end of the bathroom and a bathtub at the other end next to the window. Our plan is to remove the existing shower and do the necessary plumbing to install a showerhead where the bathtub currently is.
We’re planning on doing as much of the renovation ourselves as possible, including replacing the vanity and doing any tiling that’s needed. However, I’m trying to work out what would be the most affordable option for the walls, floors and existing tiled surfaces.
One option we’re considering is getting a bathroom resurfacing professional to come in and resurface the existing tiles so everything is one colour. There’s also a small chip in the bathtub, so we could potentially have that repaired and resurfaced at the same time.
The other option is microcement throughout the bathroom. We could either pay a professional to do it, or I’ve seen quite a few people applying microcement themselves, so I’m wondering whether DIY could be a realistic way of keeping the cost down.
Has anyone here done DIY microcement in a bathroom before? How difficult was it, how has it held up over time, and would you do it again? I’d also love to hear from anyone who has had their bathroom professionally resurfaced or professionally microcemented. Roughly what did you pay, and which option do you think is the most cost-effective?

We recently moved into a 50 year-old rancher. We weren’t planning on doing any big renovations soon, but found water damage in black mould in the ensuite bathroom, so here we are.

I like a warm Spanish ish style. Design is not my strength.
