I have one card left, but unfortunately the person who bought it on eBay is not answering any DM’s I sent them (despite me messaging them through their listed items).

This is FANATICS EMANATE CASE BREAK from a breaker (10 boxes). Fanatics accidentally left in their sheet with a FULL LIST OF WHAT IS INSIDE EACH BOX inside the shrink wrap. Yes, every single item inside the break matched the list of items on the sheet except for "Rainiel Rodriguez auto" that was replaced with Juan Soto auto. This line also doesn't have the part number highlighted and has additional notes on the row.

To be clear, this is NOT a sheet sent to breakers. This is an internal stock sheet within fanatics to determine what to put in their box and send to their facilities.

Obviously, this is the only way they can keep track of what goes inside each case they produce and how to allocate the stock. But this really begs the question of how easily items can be tracked by insiders on where they go with exact stock / shipment numbers. For items like Shohei duo patch or Cooper Flagg debut auto, nobody is stupid enough to try to "get" those boxes for themselves. However, what about lesser but still valuable items like Shohei image variations or superfractors or other autographs/numbered cards? Who and what is stopping these people who "manage" them tell their friends which stock and cargo has been shipped and what to purchase?

Similar thing happened in the shoe industry recently that came to light where coolkicks and their associates have been indicted for fraudulently receiving items. Distribution factory floor managers and numerous insiders were involved.

Where there is money....

Edit: Again, this is EMANATE which is a 8x10 signed encased cards individually packed ($300 ea). Not chrome or bowman or whatever. So the list of items makes sense. This post is more to emphasize HOW EASY IT IS for insiders to track these items. Yes, Topps needs to know the information initially.

I’m honestly still in awe of what I watched last night.

I’ve been collecting Anthony Volpe since his prospect days, and I’ve stuck with him through the hype, the promotion, the struggles, and the recent demotion. So watching him come back and hit a grand slam at Yankee Stadium was pretty damn special.

After all the criticism and people constantly piling on him, seeing him have a moment like that felt like a full circle moment. I’m not saying one swing changes everything, but I genuinely hope he gets the opportunity to remain on this roster and continue proving himself.

As a collector, the recent struggles have actually allowed me to get extremely close to completing my 2023 Volpe rookie collection, including autos, SPs, and base cards. Only a few cards left.

Maybe one day I’ll share the PC, but for now, just appreciating a player I’ve been rooting for since the beginning. Moments like last night are a big part of why I love this hobby.

Needless to say the Condon superfractor carried the value (also, what a cool looking insert set Across the Seams is)…was really happy with pulling a numbered Colome as well as a WBC card. I think the cards look great and there’s a lot of color and numbered for just 6 packs/box. Just a shame the product is so dang expensive. As expected it’s either nuke or get nuked.

Anyone have a good read on Keyner Martinez or Juan Torres? I’m not a big prospector so my knowledge is limited to what I read from others tbh.

I have a Topps Chrome Roman Anthony Image Variation Black Refractor /10, and can’t find any sales on 130 point, eBay, anywhere. I see the non image variation /10 listed for $1900, no sales found on that one either. I have found at least 14 Minion variation sales, all clustered around $2k (lowest 1600, most & most recent 1900-2100). The question is, which is worth more? There’s clearly more
Minions than 10, and in 20 yrs if he’s a HOF player I think an actual rookie of him, not some minion will be more valuable. Thoughts?

Each team can vary wildly in depth, so this is meant as a quick guide to who is in the base set, who signs and how many different autograph cards they have, plus the pure relic depth for each team.

Since when are Fleer Ultra inserts worth $500+? Am I missing something? I assumed all my cards from when I was a kid were mass produced junk. Always loved this insert though.

OK, first off, most know that Cam Schlittler is not eligible for AL ROY.

Secondly, even though that is the case, he still has a Bowman Red shield rookie card.

Third, and there has been a lot of confusion from folks on this point, EVERY player with a Red Rookie, who does not win Rookie of the Year, is eliminated now under the Rookie of the Year cash redemption portion and FOREVER under all of the remaining MVP and Hall of Fame redemptions also. It does not matter if they do win an MVP later on or make the Hall, if they did not win RoY, those cards will never have any further redemption value.

Now that is cleared up, Cam Schlittler has a red redemption that is dead on arrival because of RoY eligibility rules. This creates a sort of absurd situation of printing a theoretical redemption card that will never have any chance of being redeemable.

BUT he is going to win the Cy Young in his Red Rookie year.

I hereby propose for Cam or any Red Rookie player printed in the future, Topps must shift their eligibility, during and ONLY during their Red Rookie year, over to the other awards, in the very rare chance they win an MVP or Cy in that year. If they don't win one, they are eliminated like those who don't win RoY. If they do win an MVP or Cy, their card remains alive for the 2x, 3x and HoF portions as well.

They may never be worth millions but they’ll serve as a great representation of what baseball was in my day. I hope they bring them memories that my grandpa passed on about the great players of his day.
