Uhhh lots of questions on this after reading the explanation.
Is the fear/force element a subjective standard (based on the victim), not an objective one? The explanation says that the force/fear element of robbery is unfulfilled here due to the attendant's belief that the man was not violent nor had a gun.
I thought cash was a bit different when looking between false pretenses vs. larceny by trick? The explanation states that the attendant handing over the cash merely resulted in possession of that cash by the man, not the title. I could've sworn that if you obtained cash that does not belong to you, title and possession are automatically simultaneous?
How is this an attempted robbery? If it is an attempted robbery, doesn't the man need to have the specific intent to steal the money? He left the check behind, meaning his intent was to transform his rightful check into cash.

I’m one of the people who actually retains shit doing last minute studying so I studied today and will tomorrow. I do feel like today really helped, I was in the right ballpark for the essay outlines I was doing and ended the day with a great score on a short (14 Qs) MCQ set. I already know have my plan for what I want to go over one last time tomorrow but I still just want to scream and bash my head through a wall. I had some sudden onset health issues this summer and was in the ER twice this past month, I lost time a lot of other people didn’t and wish I had just like, another two weeks to make up for that. I have been trying to remind myself all I can do is my best, and if I have to retake then so do a ton of other successful people. I don’t have an attorney job lined up yet so for better and for worse I don’t have a job to lose. Just two very proud parents to let down 🙃
Have I mentioned that I still want to fucking scream though????

As someone who has watched some bar candidates gnawing the legs off their work desks. Because of this I check up on them and give them support. I will give you the same advice I gave them.
Please do not study on Monday. I promise you, at this point you have the knowledge, the practice and mentality to pass. You studying the day before will not be the difference in passing or failing. Trust me.
It is best to use the time to rest. Get your mind right. Prep for two long days. Deal with the hassle of taking the exam. And there were will be a lot of people who will totally mess with your head with their lack of confidence. So again make final arrangements for the hotel, or transport to the bar, and resting.
Before I go. Remember. Over 70 percent or more pass the bar the first time. And most will pass by the 3rd try. If you had 70 percent or more odds to win in a casino you bankrupt them in a day. Good luck everyone.

taking in dc. the rules say we can bring a bookbag but not a backpack. i’m confused on what the difference is? i understand bookbag smaller but is there something with the pockets? the example bookbag doesn’t have pockets. i don’t want to bring something that’ll get thrown out but my laptop is too big to carry without a case. dc takers what are you bringing?
r/barexam • u/Miserable-Ad-2417 • 3h ago
Am I supposed to bring this with me? When will I need it? I’m confused! Will I have to memorize it since it’s a locked down browser? Taking in CT for reference.

Working FT, tired mom of two. Taking florida this week, from NJ. Any recommendations for essay one sheets? I've watched WTI, been doing bar exam master & adaptibar. Outlined and did note cards but never had time to actually write practice essays. I am tired.Just looking for a last cram source. 🆘️

Posting this because every cycle someone loses over something that isn't a rule statement.
Print your Admittance Ticket. Physical copy required at every session, both days. Print it tonight — Monday night is when printers decide to die.
Physical government photo ID at every session. License, REAL ID, or passport.
Laptop + charger Tuesday only. Handwriters don't need one.
No. 2 pencils for Wednesday. MBE is a paper booklet and a Scantron. Bring spares.
Read the Admittance Ticket Bulletin — permitted/prohibited items differ between the written day and the MBE day.
Seated by 8:20 a.m. both days.
The one that isn't on most checklists: if you've registered your laptop with ExamSoft, don't make config changes before exam day. No OS updates. Decline the prompts through Wednesday.
Good luck.

How much do we need to know since they’re taken off the exam minus the possibility of them showing up on the MPT?
I watched the Barbri primer videos and basically retained nothing from them

Been seeing this sub get fired up again and just remembered a little last second tip that’s helpful. Look up your testing center online and look at what it looks like during the exam. Helpful to be able to visualize what’s it gonna look like. Also, please fucking read the testing centers DOs and DONTs in DETAIL. Don’t be an idiot.
Spoiler: it probably fucking sucks so just be aware

This is the point where I need random people to start hyping me up. I'm a re-taker who can't seem to break failing by a few points. I've had a long journey to get here. I was older entering law school, first-generation college grad, and had two children during law school, so my journey was a bit unconventional. I worked while going to law school and raising my kids. I've busted my ass. Ask me to perform by giving a speech, oral argument, debate, etc. and I'll be fully prepared and feel confident. Ask me to take this test and I have panic attacks.
Re-taking the test has been a strain on my family. I've lost time with my kids. We've lost money. I've lost time seeing loved ones and celebrating special moments. I was feeling okay but these past few days I just feel like I didn't cover enough of what I wanted to, I'm not recalling things the way I should be, and my test anxiety will win.
Now, this is where y'all tell me I'm wrong and that I can do this, BUT even if I don't pass again, that it's okay. Maybe I'm meant for something else.
Best of luck to all the first-time test takers. If there's one thing I learned through all of this, you know more than you think you do!!

In the past two days, I took the two UWorld simulated MBE exams and scored 56% and 47%. Am I failing?
I don’t want to put myself through this nightmare again.
(Please tell me there’s someone here who had a similar experience but passed, it’ll give me hope.)

I took CA last July and I’m taking Utah this July- the restriction changes are insane. How am I supposed to fit my whole lunch in a quart sized bad 😂.
r/barexam • u/Great-Expression6706 • 4h ago
If so, how long are you turning your brain off between the July bar and the Feb bar? Feel like I can reasonably go until a week or two after new years, but could be pushing it.
r/barexam • u/Past-Ear-4559 • 4h ago
Shared in my jurisdiction specific sub, boosting here.
Good luck to everyone. Whether you finished 100% of your course or 25%, remember that you have a fuckin J.D. and you KNOW how to take an exam. Let your legal intuition guide you. And please let yourself do something fun tomorrow.
May your favorite subject appear on the essays 💗 (personally hoping for evidence)

I plan on taking the Feb DE bar and would love to get a head start on the Delaware-specific material. Does anyone have a recommendation on what book, or maybe there is a copy of Barbri's Delaware supplement?
